Alchemy description: Blocking absorbs <mag>% more damage for <dur> seconds.
Enchanting description: Block <mag>% more damage with your shield.
Fortify Block increases your Block skill.

The damage reduction cap is 80%. Ex. having a ring and amulet with 40% block (a total of 80%) will produce the same amount of damage reduction as having a shield, ring, and amulet with 40% block (a total of 120%) because you cannot reduce damage by more than 80%.

The following alchemy ingredients can be used to create a potion of Fortify Block:

• Bleeding Crown
• Boar Tusk^DB
• Briar Heart
• Honeycomb
• Pearl
• Slaughterfish Scales
• Tundra Cotton

Enchanting

The following items use this effect. You can learn how to enchant custom items with Fortify Block if you find one of the following items and disenchant it:

• All varieties of Shield of Blocking
  • Includes the enchantments of Minor Fortify Block, of Major Fortify Block, of Extreme Fortify Block of Eminent Fortify Block, and of Peerless Fortify Block.
• Shield of Solitude

Artifacts and unique items that use the effect but cannot be disenchanted include:

• Amulet of Stendarr
