Journeyman's Nook is a small outdoor Nordic ruin southeast of Winterhold.

Walkthrough[edit]

The Nook is made of two concentric circles, with the living quarters in the innermost section. When you first arrive, a leveled bandit will be residing there. Entering the outer circle of the Nook, you will see windows around the perimeter of the inner wall. The entrance is towards the rear of the shelter on the north side. The Nook itself is cozy, with the exception of a slain college apprentice named Borvir on the floor. An alchemy lab is across the room, with a potion of illusion and a potion of strength. Borvir's body is on the floor by the lab, with three iron arrows by his back and his dagger just by his hand. Two barrels hold the usual clutter, but the crate on the east wall acting as a table has frostbite venom, a potion of magicka, a flute, and an apothecary's satchel. Next to the satchel is copy of the Alchemy skill book Herbalist's Guide to Skyrim. A bed roll is laid out by the fire, and a small table on the south wall, by the entrance, holds a leg of goat roast and a medium coin purse. A knapsack is tucked away behind the table. Opening it reveals a potion of healing, a piece of jewelry, and Treasure Map II.

Notes[edit]

  • A small abandoned camp can be found northwest of Journeyman's Nook, past the leaning pillar. The camp contains two tents. One of the tents is occupied by a dead skeleton, while the other contains an adept-locked strongbox (map).
  • A steep, narrow trail north-northeast of Journeyman's Nook leads down to the sea. At the base of the trail, two horkers sit in front of a small alcove in the cliff wall, which contains a novice-locked chest and a copy of the Restoration skill book 2920, Rain's Hand, v4 (map). There is also a silver ore vein on the ground in front of said alcove, as well as an iron ore vein on your left just before reaching the coast. A second iron ore vein is also nearby on the northwest side of the island, seen just a few yards across the coast.
  • Borvir's Dagger respawns, along with the knapsack and apothecary's satchel.

Bugs[edit]

  • Borvir's Dagger might clip beneath the floor, making it unreachable without use of the console.
