Nahkriin, in front of the portal to Sovngarde

Nahkriin is one of the eight high-ranked dragon priests in Skyrim, and is encountered as the boss at the end of Skuldafn, a temple you visit during The World-Eater's Eyrie.

Nahkriin, like the other seven dragon priests, has a mask with considerable power, particularly for any mage specializing in aggressive tactics, as it gives 50 more magicka points and a 20% reduction on spell cost for Destruction and Restoration spells. It is classified as heavy armor with a base armor rating of 24. It can also be upgraded at a workbench using one ebony ingot.

Nahkriin wields a unique looking staff with a powerful Wall of Storms attack. The player can loot the staff from his corpse but it must be used to open the portal to Sovngarde and therefore cannot be kept.

A simple way to kill this dragon priest is to keep walking into him while attacking him so he cannot get his staff and he will not be able to hurt you.

Dialogue

Upon noticing you, Nahkriin will say "Zu'u uth nall [sic] thurri dein daar miiraak. "

During combat he will taunt you with the following phrases:

"Fent ni filok."

"Hin laas los dii."

"Sosaal fah hin vothaarn."

Notes

• His name means "vengeance" in the dragon language.
• When you first see him, he will be facing away from you, holding open the portal to Sovngarde. This is an ideal time to sneak attack.
• If you want to obtain Konahrik, make sure to grab Nahkriin's mask as soon as you defeat him. You cannot return at a later time to get it.
