Skybound Watch Pass

Skybound Watch Pass is a small Nordic tower and ruin occupied by bandits. Although the interior is named Skybound Watch Pass, the map markers are named North Skybound Watch and South Skybound Watch, and therefore finding both entrances to the pass counts as two separate locations for the "Locations Discovered" statistic. South Skybound Watch is displayed on the map as a Nordic Tower () whereas the northern entrance is displayed as a Ruin ( (map)). It straddles the border between Falkreath and Whiterun Holds, but is only a quest destination for Falkreath Hold quests.

Notes

• Halfway down the slope from the north end is a pressure plate for a battering ram trap.
• 23 samples of Hanging Moss, 8 samples of Jazbay Grapes.
• 1 Moonstone Ore vein is located 240 ft east-southeast of the North Skybound Watch entrance, roughly halfway to Orphan Rock, on the east side of the valley.

Exterior: North Skybound Watch

North Skybound Watch

Three bandits reside in the remains of the guardhouse. Below the guardhouse is a door leading to the interior section of the pass. Walking out the door facing north, there is a novice-locked chest on the left.

On the side of the building facing Riverwood, there is a pedestal used for the Destruction Ritual Spell quest.

Exterior: South Skybound Watch

South Skybound Watch

The tower has a locked chest with random loot at the top and a leveled helmet loose in the mid-level. The door on the bottom leads to the interior section of the pass.

Zone 1: Skybound Watch Pass

The tunnel helps link the lower lying region of Whiterun to the mountainous portion of Falkreath and is divided into three small sections. On either end of the tunnel are three Bandits that are cut off by a Giant Frostbite Spider lair. The southern portion is slightly flooded and contains a large amount of Hanging Moss and several samples of Jazbay Grapes. There is a trapped chest against the wall as well as some loose gear. The northern portion has a lot of loose gear, a novice-locked chest and a copy of the Block skill book Battle of Red Mountain.
