|Talsgar the Wanderer|
|Location||Random Encounter, and Inns|
|Primary Skills||Speech, Alteration, Illusion, Pickpocket|
Talsgar the Wanderer is a Nord bard wandering around Skyrim in search of adventure to write tales about. He can be randomly encountered in the wilderness and he often stops at inns to share his stories.
Unlike other bards who perform songs for free, Talsgar will only do so for 25 septims per request. If you ask him to sing he will be happy to play and remark "For a generous fellow traveler? But of course. What would you like to hear?", although if you don't have enough money he will politely tell you "Sorry friend, but it looks like you're a bit light in the purse, and the wayward minstrel can't afford to do free performances."
He can be asked to teach you speech; after which Talsgar reveals that, because of past events, he desires not to: "Ah. Well. After a little incident with a roguish lad and the daughter of a prominent thane... Well, let's just say, best not."
Asking about why he roams Skyrim alone will reveal more information about his character when he tells you that "Some may find their inspiration tucked away in tomes, or by carousing in the cities, but I find it here in the vast expanses of Skyrim."
Talsgar wears a set of merchant clothes and a pair of boots, and is equipped with a leveled one-handed sword. He carries three random books, three random leveled potions and/or poisons of any type, and three samples of common-type ingredients. He is capable of defending himself from a pair of bandits, near whom he is often found, and may also be seen mining ore veins on the side of the road.
Talsgar knows the following spells:
