The Atronach Stone is one of the thirteen Standing Stones scattered across Skyrim.
"Those under the sign of The Atronach absorb a portion of incoming spell damage and have a larger pool of Magicka, but recover it more slowly."
Activating the Atronach Stone increases magicka by 50 points, decreases magicka regeneration by 50%, and adds 50% spell absorption.
Surrounded by roiling volcanic pools, the Atronach Stone stands in the midst of several other stones jutting out from the ground. At its base is a steaming, shallow pool where a Jazbay plant is growing. Other nearby specimens include dragon's tongue and creep cluster.
- One corundum ore vein is located northeast of the Atronach Stone, buried in the ground.
- The Atronach Stone has a 50% chance of causing all Summoning spells and powers to fail. See Spell Absorption for details.
- This bug is fixed by version 1.0 of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.
