The Whiterun Military Camp

Whiterun Military Camp is a Stormcloak camp set up just east of Pelagia Farm, and just west of the Honningbrew Meadery, for the attack on Whiterun.

A few Stormcloak soldiers wander around here, and Galmar Stone-Fist gives his attack speech to several more Stormcloaks before rushing off to attack the city. Several small one-man tents are littered about, presumably for the soldiers to sleep in, but there are no hay piles or bedrolls for them to actually sleep on. There is one large tent that holds a map of Skyrim. There are three catapults here loaded with flaming bombs, each having a Stormcloak soldier firing and reloading them. The catapults can be used by activating them to fire and reload.

After the attack any catapults are gone, and only a single Stormcloak soldier will remain in the main tent in the otherwise deserted camp.

Notes

• The camp will appear at the beginning of the quest Battle for Whiterun regardless of the side chosen in the civil war, but a map marker will only be added if siding with the Stormcloaks. In that case it is immediately listed as discovered, meaning you can fast travel there straight away. The map marker disappears after the quest, but the camp itself will remain.
• There is a corundum ore vein a few steps southeast of the large tent.
