Name

Some sources call her Alea instead of Aela. I've created a redirect for the former, but one of them will need to be deleted after release. --Legoless 18:18, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

This observation of yours is fallacious. There is an NPC by the name of Alea who the player may choose to kill by taking a certain path of joining the Dark Brotherhood. See Alea Quintus. Or, if the other sources are referring to Aela the Huntress as Alea the Huntress, they are simply mispelling her name. Esoterik 22:54, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Does she really live in a farm?

This bugged me for a while because i married this chick in game and accepted the offer to live with her. Which in turn put me in a position where i don't know where my home is. So i followed her for a few days (game time, of course) and she never left the immediate vicinity of Jorrvaskr. And that is not even mentioning the fact that all three farms outside Whiterun seem have other inhabitants. So - am i missing something or informaton about the Aelas house is totally wrong? RuncZ 21:56, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Her home is Jorrvaskr.69.250.157.253 06:35, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
I removed "She lives on a farm outside the city of Whiterun." (ZekunD 03:13, 22 December 2011 (UTC))

Hunting Bow

Any way to get rid of that stupid lvl1 bow? I tried pickpocketing but it wasn't there. Is it possible to use disarm, orbuy it off her when your married, or just generally make her use the better one? — Unsigned comment by 219.88.64.227 (talk) at 07:00 on 29 November 2011

One source suggest removing all her items, opening up the console and using "removeallitems" on her, then giving her everything back. However, once you've given her a bow you can't remove said bow again, as her Hunting Bow will respawn if she doesn't have another one in her inventory at all times.
Haven't tried this myself yet. It applies only to PC as well, since you have to use the console. — Unsigned comment by ArildHH (talkcontribs) at 08:49 on 29 November 2011
I was messing around to try to fix this myself. I was using the command "removeitem" instead of "removeallitems." First of all her Hunting Bow is ID: 0010e2dd. This is not the ID of most hunting bows you'll find lying around. Secondly, I'm fairly sure she had 10 of them in her inventory. The console was confusing me a little (we were in combat and I couldn't scroll up) but I used the command removing 1 each time and it counted down from 10. When I finally got rid of all them, she finally equipped the Nightingale Bow and used it for the rest of the time I was testing. Rookwood 06:26, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Tested it again. This time discovered the getitemcount command. She DID have 9 hunting bows in her inventory. Using the following console command while targeting Aela will remove them:
removeitem 0010e2dd "x"
X is the number of that item you want to remove minus the quotes, just set it high and it should remove them all. I recommend doing this out of combat. Rookwood 19:47, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Tried it after Dec Patch - PC, Bugged they generate a her bow again and you can't remove it doesn't show in inventory. — Unsigned comment by 96.3.119.252 (talk) at 02:26 on 29 January 2012
I've had no problems on PS3. She uses the advanced crossbow, and any other relevant weapons I give her. Kellynne (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2014 (GMT)

A couple of annoying follower bugs.

First of all, my Aela ran out of arrows. Those supposedly infinite companion arrows that don't show up in her inventory. The quiver just disappeared off her back in the middle of a fight one day and she started using a dagger. I wanted her to use her bow, so I took the dagger. She equipped the bow, but no arrows, and the next time we encountered an enemy, she unequipped it and started using her fists.

Unsure of what happened, I reloaded a save from before she lost her arrows, and started paying attention to them. She kept them for much longer this time, but eventually lost them again. It had been a while since I'd last saved, so I decided to just give her some of my arrows. I know followers can supposedly fire arrows infinitely even if given just one, but I gave her 20 just to be safe. After many battles in which she fired countless arrows, I checked her inventory, and she had used up four of the arrows I gave her, but was no longer using them as they were unequipped. I assumed this meant her arrows had miraculously returned, but now it seems they've vanished again and she's back to using my arrows.

The other annoying thing is that it now seems I cannot give her anything with weight. She's carrying about 17 pounds, and no matter what I try to give her, it says the item is too heavy. I can remove everything from her inventory, and I still won't be able to give her anything. I can't even give back the stuff I take.

What's wrong with her and how do I fix it? --Rewolf 18:36, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

First of all, the arrows were disappearing because she was using iron arrows (right? otherwise I have no idea what happened) This is good, since she uses better bows instead of that infamous crappy hunting bow, but also bad, since she eventually uses them up, and only uses good bows if she also has iron arrows (see followers talk page). If you give her any other arrows, she will use them, but also use the crappy hunting bow. >_<
About the weight problem, it was probably a tonn of deafult equipment stacking up again, (see followers talk page) and unless your a PC user, (in which case see the followers talk page) the only way to solve it is to drop items on the ground and ask her to pick them up. for more information, see the followers talk page. :)
219.88.64.227 10:41, 18 December 2011 (UTC) (broxigar not logged in.)
The thing with her carrying items comes from the items in her store if you're married to her. She lugs around 2 full sets of Ancient Nord Armor. You can just buy it from her and she should be able to carry things again. I've got her carrying about 13 dragon bones at the moment. 173.73.159.61 17:36, 18 November 2012 (GMT)

Does Aela Not Level Up With The Player On the 360?

Does Aela level up with the player only on pc, or for the 360 too? — Unsigned comment by 64.231.43.252 (talk) at 01:57 on 16 December 2011

I though Wabbajack allowed any follower to level up. Old as this conversation is, I feel the need to note this.--Playerseekingbugs 05:40, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

major glitch on the second wolf totem quest

On the second werewolf totem quest Aela mysteriously dissappeared before I killed the last 2 vampires. When I picked up the werewolf totem from the chest "nothing happenned" there was no update about the quest, Aela was still missing and my map will no longer show me where to go to complete the quest. I retraced every step through dungeon but she is still missing. I can't even place the totem back in the chest where I found it. I can't complete the quest. Since then I moved on to other quests. I've played several hours and deleted my old saves. Also I can't get anyone else to follow me wich is stopping me from completing some of the other quests as well...... please help! — Unsigned comment by 75.118.211.103 (talk) at 01:04 on 18 December 2011

Just go to the closest town and wait a few days, it's what i did when i lost aela on the third totem, eventually she should come up to you and say something about the underforge.--71.22.182.47 06:14, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
I went in and out of the Dungeon an few times and then Aeala appeared again and told something about underforge and quest could be finished. — Unsigned comment by 78.34.217.220 (talk) at 20:23 on 15 February 2012
I had the same exact problem. I went to the fort through a mountainous way, and she disappeared for a long while. I tried the underforge and waited near for about a week(game time). I decided she must have been stuck somewhere on the way I took. So I went back and took the same route using aura whisper as often as possible and she turned up. — Unsigned comment by 99.109.159.29 (talk) at 02:55 on 14 September 2012‎

Removing her defaults

It is possible to remove her Hunting Bow completely (?) by typing removeitem 0010e2dd <here # higher as 8 i.e. 9> as she has 9 (?) of them. It should remove her Hunting Bow permanently. What about her Ancient Nord Armor, Boots and Gauntlets? What are the commands to remove it from her permanently? I did remove all three manually (by buying it from her) and it seems that she has them over and over (bought from her all three up to 11 pieces of each). I would like her to wear some expensive clothes instead of her Ancient Nord equipment. I can give her gloves, circlet, robes but she seems to wear her default set again whenever I try to replace her boots... --Arkhon 10:20, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Yeah I tried the same thing with her by giving her dragonscale armor instead...Now she walks around in undies every time I meet her until I tell her to follow me. Not that I have a problem... :) — Unsigned comment by 219.88.64.227 (talk) at 10:26 on 18 December 2011
She will refuse to wear anything but her default set when not following you, it's like her 'casual' wear with the Ancient Nord Armor.--Ravage 15:27, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Quest-Giver Glitch

Right before I had the chance to take the "Glory of the Dead" quest, I asked Aela if she had any work for me. She gave the quest "Retrieval," even though I already had acquired and turned in all pieces of the axe. The quest could not be finished or cleared from the journal, preventing me from getting any further "looking for work" quests from the companions.— Unsigned comment by 71.234.44.10 (talk) at 08:45 on 20 December 2011

A second and worse part of this glitch: After several more hours of gameplay, I suddenly got a map compass prompt (but no journal quest) to go the Companions and get a quest from Aela. That turned out to be "Totems of Hircine." So I thought I was somehow getting around the first glitch. There was a new dialog option offering me the quest. I accepted the quest and she became my new follower, booting the one I had. But then she did not follow me. However, I am treated as though she is following me. My only dialog option with her is to ask her for work, and she tells me she has already given me a job. I cannot dismiss her, and I cannot pick up a new follower. — Unsigned comment by 71.234.44.10 (talk) at 05:54 on 21 December 2011
The same thing has happened to me, except in a different job. I am supposed to clear out Bonechill Passage, even though I have already done so beforehand. I have tried reanimating the snow saber cat that I'm supposed to kill to complete the job, but it is to strong for my magic, and I haven't figured out any other way to get rid of the quest. If anyone has any ideas about how to get rid of this quest(or even somehow complete it) email me @ WerewolfNation22@gmail.com . I will literally do anything to get rid of this quest. — Unsigned comment by 66.66.144.224 (talk) at 18:46 on 15 January 2015

Possible weirdness of this conversation aside, is her outfit unique? It's pretty interesting. I'm curious what the male version looks like. --12.16.164.205 16:55, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
It is not unique, it's just a basic (non-enchanted) set of Ancient Nord Armor, which can be smithed at the Skyforge after finishing the Companions quest chain. --Mikeytalkemail 19:15, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh is it? My character is male, so I hadn't realized that. Cool. --Theothersteve7 20:01, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Indeed, and although the following doesn't apply directly to Aela, it does apply to her (seemingly) unique armor: A level 1 PC straight out of Helgen can turn south, head around the burning town, and head SSE to Southfringe Sanctum, clear through to the male orcish head spellsword, who is wearing just the Ancient Nord cuirass. The armor being on par with steel is good for starting heavy armor users. (Just avoid the spider cave portion of the dungeon, which is rather difficult for a level 1). --Mikeytalkemail 07:34, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Essential

At what point does she become non-essential? I married her and I checked her essential status with IsEssential and she is still marked 1.0 (essential). Perhaps she is non-essential only after completing werewolf quest chain? — Unsigned comment by 75.80.97.155 (talk) at 06:36 on 1 January 2012

I saw at this page: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Aela_the_Huntress that Aela is still essential, even after you have married her, if you haven't end the quest of Totems of Hircine. Look at the trivia section. Can someone verify this please? Blackjohnbird 14:51, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
I posted the text in the above essential topic. I can confirm that she is still essential after marriage and I have not completed the totems quest chain. I cannot verify the 2nd part (no longer essential after the quests), but I assume it to be true since others have reported that she is no longer essential after marriage; presumably because they have completed the quests. 75.80.97.155 10:01, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
Ok thank you very much! Blackjohnbird 21:27, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
Aela the huntress, although seemingly invincible, just died with me today, itested this as she died 3 times, tested this to make sure it wasnt me killing her, i sent her into to battle 3 drougr death*** , they killed her. I think mostly she just has alot of hp, i played this on xbox 360, I'm married to her, she is my follower, i have an active quest from her, i compleed the main part glory of the dead but havent went further withturning vilkas and farkas yet. — Unsigned comment by 67.235.115.0 (talk) at 07:10 on 14 January 2012
Well, from what i can tell (never having married her or even used her as a follower) she isn't essential after glory of the dead if you've married her. So that would be what happened to you. (Eddie The Head 07:22, 14 January 2012 (UTC))
I can confirm this. I have never used her as a follower nor have I married her. But I just completed the glory of the dead and isessential now returns 0.00 — Unsigned comment by 67.87.103.252 (talk) at 06:52 on 8 March 2012

Reference to Ayla?

She seems to have a few things in common with Ayla from Chrono Trigger. Ayla was a strong, attractive cavewoman female wearing furs. It's not a blatant copy, but Chrono Trigger is one of the most well-known RPGs of all time and that's one of the seven main characters. As a rule, I don't like adding reference notes on established articles without someone corroborating me; thoughts? --12.16.164.205 16:53, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

When is Aela generated?

Wanted to get Aela as a companion but wanted to max out her stats. Does anyone know when the game generates her stats? Is it when she is first encountered fighting the giant outside of whiterun or is it when the player first discovers Jorrvaskr or when the player discovers Whiterun? 70.116.69.37 05:24, 19 April 2012 (UTC)tony_touch

From my experience, her stats are generated when you first interact in the quest-line and confront her. Otherwise, it may be during your first encounter with her even if you decide not to start any quests for the Companions. Vestie 05:05, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Vestie's correct - this is the case for all NPCs with a few exceptions where the NPC is re-generated for some reason or there are actually multiple copies of them. Robin Hoodtalk 14:38, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Dawnguard Update—Restoring Werewolf Powers?

Does Aela truly restore Werewolf powers (once or multiple times) now with the release of Dawnguard, and if so shouldn't it be added to her main page? Don't know if it's fully confirmed yet, but it was in the chat section of Dawnguard... 68.127.209.242 23:10, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Lazyness

I have married Aela and all has gone well. But after a while, can't say how many (skyrim) days, she started coughing. I assumed it was normal, so didn't pay much attention to it. After that she started yawning. I tried commanding her to sleep, but she doesn't. I also figured she doesn't need to sleep since she's a werewolf, but still she yawns. I gave her a "Cure disease" potion, to see if she was sick, but she hasn't taken it. A while after that she started not attacking, even when she was attacked. I just finished the quest with the abandoned house and the lord of domination, where she attacked the priest fine. It was after that quest I realized she stopped attacking. She withdraws her glass sword I gave her, and her bow, which I recently realized was a hunting bow she switched back to after using the Ebony bow. I checked for lack of arrows, but she still has 500+ steel arrows. Is this a glitch, or maybe she's sick? Should I leave her and find another follower? This problem is on ps3 — Unsigned comment by 190.88.224.210 (talk) at 04:24 on July 10, 2012

I read that followers can catch diseases. Go to the Shrine of Kynareth in Whiterun (or any other shrine) and tell her to activate the shrine. It will remove her diseases. — Unsigned comment by 24.211.152.231 (talk) at 03:58 on 12 July 2013

Won't equip bow

I am on xbox.I have given a improved dagger and different kinds of improved bow to Aela. (daedric, ebonyl). I have removed her imperial bow and arrows. The default bows(hunting, ancient nord bow) is still in her inventory. The daedric bow is obviously deal the highest damage. However, Aela just only use the improved dagger i gave her when fighting. She doesn't use bow when i gave her arrows. She doesn't use any bows anymore except i remove the dagger from her, than she could only use the daedric bow. I want her to use the bow when the dagger is still in her inventory. How can i solve the problem? — Unsigned comment by 203.218.22.135 (talk) at 10:21 on 30 July 2012

See the third paragraph in this section on the Followers page. Also, I'm not sure what patch you have, but there's some discussion that certain followers may choose bows correctly now, though I don't think anything's been confirmed. ABCface 18:33, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

no more beast form

If I married her and murdered her, does that mean I can't regain beast form anymore? (Vvardfell 11:32, 3 August 2012 (UTC))

Probably. And in a conversation above someone said that she can give you beast form more than once, just like Serana can make you a Vampire Lord multiple times. I hope this is the case, because it would make choosing between Vampire Lord, Lycantropy, and pure man/mer/beastfolk a far from final choice.--Playerseekingbugs 05:46, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
She's the only one who can give the dialogue to regain lycanthropy, so if you murdered her (married or not), you can't regain it. ABCface 20:38, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
Isn't marrying her the only way to change her essential status into protected? (Vvardfell (talk) 06:26, 5 September 2012 (EDT))
There are different notes across various pages regarding the essential status of Aela, Vilkas, and Farkas. As of now, this page says it's after completion of the Companions questline that she is no longer essential. I'm not sure which is actually true, though. For now, I'll add a {{VN}} tag to that note, because the different notes regarding this are conflicting. — ABCface 10:08, 7 September 2012 (EDT)
Okay, Alfwyn has looked into this in the CK, and it turns out the note about losing her essential status after marriage was wrong. She actually loses her essential status when you complete Glory of the Dead. — ABCface 13:39, 25 September 2012 (GMT)
I completed Glory of the Dead, and she is still essential. Could this be because I haven't done the Totems of Hircine? Kellynne (talk) 17:45, 13 February 2014 (GMT)

Bug copied from article

After you have cured Kodlak of lycanthropy, if you transform into a werewolf in front of her while she's a follower, she may attack you and not talk.

I tried testing this. At time of testing, I had cured Kodlak, and married Aela. I transformed in front of her inside Breezehome (no attack), then went outside. Guards and townspeople attacked me, but she fought them with me. I then reloaded, and transformed outside Breezehome in front of a guard. I gained a bounty, guards attacked me, she attacked them, but then she attacked me after the guards were dead. During the battle with the guards, I might have hit her by accident. I tried it again Riverwood. She only attacked me if I directly hit her, but she stopped after I returned to human form and yielded. In all cases, she did not turn hostile to me due to my transforming to werewolf form, as the bug states.

I think the issue may either be striking her during battle, or possibly her faction. Because she is part of GuardFaction, she may turn hostile if you have a high bounty. Either way, this would not be a bug, but an expected game result. --XyzzyTalk 05:27, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Aela's assigned Crime Faction is CompanionsFaction. They do not ignore crimes against non-members, but that only means they report crimes to a victim's Crime Faction; they don't deal with it themselves (and I think being a follower overrides this, but the Follower page seems unsure). They have zero bounty for any crime except pickpocket and steal, so turning into a werewolf doesn't add bounty to Aela's crime faction. So I'd say if Aela is attacking on sight when you turn into a werewolf, then it is a bug.
Oddly, targeting Aela and using paycrimegold 0 1 in the console did stop this behaviour, but it wiped out my 25 gold Eastmarch bounty. There is no reason in the way the game's supposed to work that Aela should even care about my Eastmarch bounty. I was in the Reach when this behaviour was happening, and Aela doesn't have any Eastmarch/Windhelm faction, which further suggests that this might well be a bug. --Thegooseking (talk) 10:41, 6 August 2014 (GMT)

Aela had died

Some time ago I got a letter of inheritance saying that Alea has died. Is this supposed to be a bug since she is listed as essential? When I go to Jorrvaskr she's still laying dead in her room, months after she died. In Dawnguard she can supposedly make you a werewolf again yet at the same time she can die which will glitch that opportunity. Seems like Bethesda overlook this. --95.96.192.45 22:40, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Aela returning to Jorrvaskr instead of home

After downloading Hearthfire and building a home, then moving Aela into it, I've had a glitch where she will always return to Jorrvaskr instead of this house. I cannot tell her to move in with me or anything, and in dialogue she acts as though she's living in the house. Is there any known fix for this? 166.137.101.149 06:33, 2 January 2013 (GMT)

I had the same problem. It was caused by a mod that changed Aela's script. In my case, this was "Better Vanilla Spouses". Try disabling some mods that affect spouse or follower behavior. The.sot (talk) 01:01, 6 May 2013 (GMT)
I didn't marry her, but have her as a follower & steward. She was fine for a while, but now suddenly goes to Jorrvaskr. I'm on PS3. Can this be fixed? Kellynne (talk) 15:50, 17 February 2014 (GMT)
If you married her, go to Jorrvaskr and talk to her. Tell her you want to move and choose your home (I have Hearthfire too so in my case Lakeview Manor). She should come home.72.55.248.180 02:02, 4 November 2014 (GMT)
If you do a quest for her, she returns to Jorrvaskr and waits for you to finish the quest-George — Unsigned comment by 217.39.102.227 (talk) at 16:28 on 30 March 2015

Quest giving bug

She stopped giving me quests the option i'm looking for work wasn't present after i had completed an animal extermination quest. — Unsigned comment by 82.73.72.148 (talk) at 16:05 on 30 January 2013

What happens when you ask the other leaders for work? If they still give you the option, try completing a different Companions quest for someone else, then come back to her and see if the issue still occurs. — ABCface 19:22, 30 January 2013 (GMT)

Aela respawns

I've read that Aela will supposedly respawn some time after she died? Is this true?--95.96.192.45 17:28, 5 March 2013 (GMT)

It seems that all Companions are able to respawn, Kodlak being the only exception. The exact reason is unknown, my guess is that it has something to do with random encounters in which they're implied. However, even admitting that my theory is correct, it would take a lot of trial and error to get Aela back to life. I wouldn't count on it if I were you. Elakyn (talk) 18:35, 5 March 2013 (GMT)

Aela no longer offers work

I've confirmed on the PS3 version a glitch wherein Aela no longer offers work to the player. After completing Glory Of The Dead and all of the Totem quests, she may stop offering work to the player. I'm not yet certain what causes this glitch, or what any possible solutions are. It may be caused by, or at least related to, an identical glitch wherein Farkas no longer offers work for the player. After encountering the latter glitch, I was told that completing work for Aela would fix the problem. After attempting it and completing the job she had assigned me, she stopped giving me work altogether. — Unsigned comment by 216.186.185.107 (talk) at 15:11 on 20 April 2013‎

Markarth Shrine of Talos Glitch

So, I'm having a weird bug related to Aela. I'd married her, and at some point later I moved into Vlindrel Hall. She worked fine for a while, but sometime after I finished The Forsworn Conspiracy/No One Escapes Cidhna Mine (in favor of the Forsworn, if that matters), Aela started standing inside the Shrine of Talos in Markarth, all day without leaving. The guards that stand in there at the end of The Forsworn Conspiracy are there, and do their normal dialogue to send you to Cidhna, but upon surrendering, they just attack me. Aela will attack them, and after killing the guards, she'll continue to stand there, bow drawn.

Using the console to bring her to my location will just have her walk back to the shrine. She'll walk back even if I recruit her as a follower and I tell her to wait somewhere. She has all of her normal dialogue options. PC, no mods, none of the DLC. Anyone have a solution? 75.23.121.241 23:39, 31 May 2013 (GMT)

Can't get the werewolf totem jobs from Aela

I talked to her so that I could get a job in order to obtain the totems, but she says that I'm already running a job for Vilkas. He is dead and there's no companion nor miscellaneous jobs that have to do with Vilkas or the companions. I play on the 360 and I've already finished the story line. — Unsigned comment by ‎184.63.87.108 (talk) at 00:17 on 30 June 2013

Alea issues after companion quest line

Alea won't become a companion and able to marry her after companion quest line

I can't Seem to get Aela To marry me and don't say anything about the amulet I have it and it works on the other companion member also she wont become my companion and the only dialuge is for archery traning plz help — Unsigned comment by 74.75.9.91 (talk) at 19:30 on 23 August 2013

Maybe her disposition towards you isn't high enough, even though I think it's supposed to be by the end of the Companions' main quest line. Try doing a couple of her radiant quests, like Animal Extermination, and see if that helps. --Xyzzy Talk 20:05, 23 August 2013 (GMT)

After marriage bug

After marriage, Aela will now only say (when near) "Something has shifterd in the moons, sister." is that supposed to happen, or is it a bug? — Unsigned comment by 142.197.82.233 (talk) at 21:54 on 29 August 2013

When you say she only says that "when near" do you mean that it's the only random thing she says? So if you actually approach and talk to her, she still has other dialogue? If so, this is a known bug that was added when the werewolf perks were added to the game (I think that was with Dawnguard, but it might've just been from a patch, don't remember).
If she's not saying anything else, no matter what, even when you approach her and speak to her yourself, please clarify, as that would be a different issue. — ABCface 22:31, 29 August 2013 (GMT)

Confusion Regarding Armor

The main page says that Aela's primary armor skill is light. Is this true despite her default armor being Ancient Nord Armor, which is heavy? — Unsigned comment by Mageknight (talkcontribs) at 21:07 on 3 January 2014

Yes. If you'd seen the notes you'd also note that the USKP changed it. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 21:40, 3 January 2014 (GMT)

Aela is going to the Companion's place in Whiterun instead of home

So I had married Aela the Huntress a while ago and just after I got adopted a kid, she started going to Jorrvskar or however you spell it. I play on the xbox 360 and it's really annoying because I have to keep going to Whiterun to get money from her shop. I live in the Lakeview Manor house from Hearthfire, but she was totally fine, until the kid came. 76.216.248.125 03:21, 2 February 2014 (GMT)

Try telling her to move to another of your homes, then back to Breezehome. This may fix it. --Xyzzy Talk 06:18, 2 February 2014 (GMT)

Allies Attack Her

On PS3 - Sometimes, after finishing a battle, my other allies will turn and attack Aela the Huntress, even though she's one of my followers. Any thoughts? Kellynne (talk) 14:58, 13 February 2014 (GMT)

Aela could have accidentally attacked your other allies while in combat, and that turned them hostile towards her. —<({Quill-Tail>> 17:59, 13 February 2014 (GMT)

Quest glitch?

Aela gave me an animal extermination quest where I had to kill a wolf in Marthal at Thonnir's home. When I did so, the waypoint was removed from my map but the goal on the quest was never marked as completed. And when I returned to the companion's headquarters in Whiterun everyone told me Aela had died and she wasn't there anymore and now I cannot proceed in my companion's quests. What gives? This is on the PS3 by the way Scorpion2458 (talk) 18:27, 17 September 2014 (GMT)

Exactly the same problem happened to me on PS3. Exactly. If anyone knows a solution then please tell me, I've had this for about 3 years now — Unsigned comment by 80.3.12.161 (talk) at 11:44 on 7 June 2015 (GMT)

Unused dialogue?

I had the companion's questline screw up (I had atlas' map markers installed, and used it to go to Jorvaskr, but that must have skipped some trigger box for returning after Dustman's Cairn, because the unduction ceremony never took place, and when I spoke to Skjor, the quest completed (!), making the questline unavailable), and when it did, I had a new question for each of the members of the circle "What's it like being a werewolf?" to which each gave their own unique answer. I thjought about adding it into their profiles, but now I'm not sure whether to or not, since it's unused. Thoughts? — Unsigned comment by 70.80.48.18 (talk) at 16:20 on 18 November 2015 (GMT)

Aela is stuck at Underforge Door

Just completed the first Totem of Hircene quest. Get to the Underforge; go in; and I am notified 'Follower cannot follow you here'. Go back out and there is Aela stuck trying to open the door. I've tried various things: dismissing her first, Unrelenting Force shout, moving her to my player somewhere else. In all cases she heads back to the Underfroge door where she can't get in. she is an AFT managed follower.108.230.92.159 04:31, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
