Ebony Blade? (spoilers)[edit]

Is he a viable candidate for the Ebony Blade if you kill him for Namira? Since you have to do the favor for him to get the quest and all.--Barfightbob 05:29, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

He does not work. Check my sandbox for targets, there is a debate on whether to add them to the ebony blade page. --The Silencer 01:11, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Multiple Coffins[edit]

I have found six coffins with Brother Verulus's "remains" in the Markarth Hall of the Dead. The bug is confirmed; although I know not why nor how the bug occurs. --Droviin (talk) 02:37, 21 April 2013 (GMT)

Grand healing[edit]

Does he ever cast grand healing?--82.46.168.98 06:41, 3 May 2013 (GMT)

Verulus Forcegreet Bug[edit]

From USKP changelog: "AI pack DA11FINVerulusForcegreetPackage will no longer cause Verelus to repeatedly forcegreet the player if DA11 ends prematurely with Eola's death." Looks like they fixed it. (Lmstearn (talk) 09:14, 4 November 2013 (GMT))

Verulus in Riften glitch?[edit]

On PS3, Verulus says something to my sister's character every time she passes by the Temple of Mara in Riften. She killed Eola in the Hall of the Dead, so Verulus isn't a follower. 68.231.137.169 06:30, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Permanently out of Magicka(?)[edit]

I'm running a NFT playthrough (Self-imposed challenge of No Fast Travelling) in SE, so I've been partnered with Verulus for quite some time (total of over 300 hours on this playthrough alone), and he appears to have run out of Magicka permanently, so only ever seems to engage in melee attacks (which means he gets in the way *A LOT*!); has anyone else ever seen this? (asking from the perspective of "Is it a bug or a feature?") -— Unsigned comment by Rhort (talkcontribs) at 10:47 on 7 July 2020

Choice of wording[edit]

In the notes, it states that "... he may be used as a powerful follower...".
However, though essential (until later), he is only level 6. "Powerful" would be a relative term, when compared to the player character's level.
If the player character is only lvl 1, I'd expect him to provide some assistance, but if the player character is lvl 50+, I'd expect pretty much any regular encounter in the wilds to tear him apart repeatedly before he could even make a visible dent in their healthbars.
Assuming his confidence is 2 or lower, I'd also expect him to flee from almost any encounter, with most wildlife easilly outleveling him. (Haven't tested, nor are his confidence and assistance values listed on this page.)
Perhaps a different phrasing in the notes would be in order?
