Inequality?

Is there any official information at all as to why there is not an equivalent side quest for the Dawnguard? It doesn't really seem fair that people who choose to be a vampire can wipe out the Dawnguard, but vampire hunters can't wipe out at least the ones at Volkihar Castle. Requirements to Receive This Quest?

Does the information on this page indicate that Lord Harkon must be dead in order for you to receive this quest? I have completed the DG main questline up to the point before you retrieve Auriel's Bow, and can't seem to get this quest. --Xyzzy ^Talk 06:16, 23 September 2012 (GMT)
