Essential?[edit]

He will not die. Every Imperial that commands a camp will not die. I don't even know what the point of finding and destroyng the camps when u can't kill them. — Unsigned comment by 69.245.3.230 (talk) at 19:20 on 7 December 2011

^I have the exact same problem as this person. Fasendil has been left essential and I'm Xbox 360. Came to slaughter his camp on my way to the Ruins of Bthalft. No dice. My Dark Brotherhood Initiate just battles him (as two immortals) forever. 70.114.63.215 14:25, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Quick question: how do you find out about his backstory in-game? When I go to talk to him, he just keeps repeating the same standard lines about "Stay sharp" etc. Does it have anything to do with the fact that I never spoke to him at all before I finished the civil war questline? 144.132.100.149 02:02, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
You have to talk to each of the camp legate's before you join the Legion or the Stormcloaks. I think, but I'm nto sure of it, that they all have unique story behind why they have joined the legion. --Arkhon 20:00, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Date[edit]

There seems to be some confusion over when the Night of Green Fire occurred. From what I remember, Fasendil only says "back in 42" which could mean either 4E 42 or 4E 142. Both dates are plausible as the Thalmor were active throughout both centuries. So which date should be on the article?--Tovenam 00:26, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

It's '42 as seen here. The Silencer speaksTalk 00:36, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
I realize this is old but this is still unclear. That link links back here, making its citation self-referential and null. Tovenam's observation that '42 could refer to 4E 42 or 4E 142 remains accurate and both timestamps seem to fit into the timeline. Is there any line in the novels or the Prima Guide, or even an unofficial source that confirms this? Mindtrait0r (talk) 19:40, 20 October 2022 (UTC)

Losing dialogue in Mistveil Keep[edit]

According to the page, he loses his unique dialogue should the Empire retake Riften and if he moves to Mistveil Keep. Which is odd, given that I could've sworn I've talked to him with these conversation options in the Keep. However, I do have USKP, so that might be it. Vicano (talk) 12:49, 28 August 2013 (GMT)

From what I've seen is that if Riften's been given to the Empire due to Season Unending and you've yet to pick a side he'll have the dialogue, but should you join the legion then he'll just spout generic lines. However likewise I also use the USKP so I can't tell if that's a factor. ChrisJG (talk) 18:54, 31 August 2013 (GMT)
I dont have USKP and I have talked with him just fine with all these dialouge options in mistviel keep. (103.245.205.42 10:40, 16 October 2013 (GMT))
He still has the unique dialogue for me when moving to Mistveil Keep, regardless of whether the Rift was captured or swapped during Season Unending. I'm on console (no USKP).98.19.40.232 05:00, 14 January 2014 (GMT)
All dialogue attached to the "CW" quest is conditioned to be disabled once the war is over. The conditions check for stage 255 on CWObj having been done. If it has, that dialogue ceases to be available. There is no actual bug here, this is how the game was designed. Arthmoor (talk) 21:01, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
