Loot[edit]

There is some minor loot to be found in this cave, such as the Scaled Boots of Dwindling Shock, and a book that increases One-Handed. Would this information be noteworhty enough to be on the page? Lord Melchior 20:48, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

I've mentioned the skill book, but those boots are random and therefore not guaranteed. Nice work on the page! Wolok gro-Barok 22:52, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Bugs[edit]

Encountered a bizarre bug where followers and thralls were randomly getting teleported while I was in this cave. My armored troll would vanish from right behind me, and when I used the console to teleport to it it was at the very end killed by a chaurus. This happened during multiple reloads. Then in the final one, I told the troll to wait by the entrance...and my Dead Thrall vanished instead. I teleported to him via console to find him killing bandits outdoors miles away. What on earth is wrong with this map? 99.127.173.78 01:31, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Un-accessable area at end of Lost Echo Cave[edit]

Is there a means of accessing the southern room, near the end of Lost Echo Cave, behind the (unopenable?) claw-type gate? My Rescue Mission person is behind that claw, all the enemies are dead, but can't reach the person to rescue them.

Thanx for any help.

Read on the main page there about the Brazier with the mushrooms. Lord Eydvar Talk|Contribs 05:54, 19 November 2012 (GMT)
Actually this turned out to be a random bug. Reverted to a save file prior to having discovered Lost Echo Cave and re-did it. The claw gate was open this time. — Unsigned comment by 66.69.47.166 (talk) at 23:13 on 22 November 2012‎
Never mind, it was a random bug. Reloading from save prior to discovering cave worked; claw gate was open and quest completed. — Unsigned comment by 66.69.47.166 (talk) at 09:45 on 23 November 2012‎
Please delete the above. Turned out to be a random bug, that cleared up by reloading from prior to discovering the cave.

Quests related to Lost Echo Cave[edit]

The Lost Relic quest given by Florentius Baenius sent me to this cave to retrieve the Dawnguard Rune Shield. I'm guessing this is mentioned elsewhere, but I figured if someone was searching this cave it would be nice to know that it may be associated with that quest. — Unsigned comment by 108.233.154.107 (talk) at 09:37 on 23 January 2013

Actually, the Lost Relic quest can send you to over 65 possible locations, so it's better to put a note explaining that it can be chosen by a radiant quest with many possible locations. I'll go ahead and do so now. — ABCface 23:20, 25 January 2013 (GMT)

Notes that might be worth adding[edit]

There are a couple of points about this cave that might deserve to be added to a Notes section on the main page.

First, it is by far the safest place for a low-level character to get a large number of Glowing Mushroom samples for Smithing and Resist Shock potions. There are twenty or so Glowing Mushrooms in the first section of the cave, no enemies at all, and no chance that something passing by will attack you. Lower level characters would probably find it easiest to reach the cave while on the quest A Daedra's Best Friend, which usually takes them right past the door, and during which they have the assistance of Barbas to deal with any perils on the road.

Second, if you have the Shout Animal Allegiance, use it repeatedly before you open the door into the second section of the cave. To a novice, Animal Allegiance seems to be one of the more useless Shouts, but charus are affected by it. Use it before opening the door, and the chaurus in the second section will go for the Falmer, doing some of your work for you. 174.6.51.17 23:50, 17 February 2014 (GMT)
