Stealing the key makes the quest unsolvable[edit]

If you steel the key to the ruins and open the gates before she tells you to, it gets stuck. "setStage dunAngarvundeQST 71" to fix. ~Mr.Mousse (sorry, I don't know the conventions here for leaving comments. — Unsigned comment by 71.193.198.231 (talk) at 22:34 on 6 December 2011 (GMT)

Untrue. You just have to re-do the opening of the spike gates when her dialog expects them to be closed or opened as the case may be. This may mean shutting the gates first, talking to her, then reopening them to get her next dialog for each such gate. She must die in order for the spike column stairway to allow access to the word wall in the basement, etc.
I just tried this but by whirlwind sprinting through a wooden plate past the steel bars into the last room on either side regardless of getting the door key from her. She can be foolishly standing right in front of both bar gate doors open right in front of her. The entire ordeal is scripted in measured sequences of events and does NOT take into consideration her being able to notice that the doors are wide open in front of her. I had to re-shut those doors, do the dialog with her, then re-open the doors, then do more dialog, etc. 216.58.27.151 10:03, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Possible family connection to an oblivion npc[edit]

Medresi Dran and Dovesi both are dunmers and have the same last name could it be possible for them to both be part of the same family ,but her personality similarly matches up with matilde which i think might have been a mistake and futhermore both npc wanted to find a hidden treasure and then both npc meet there death. — Unsigned comment by 108.243.150.168 (talk) at 21:12 on 7 October 2012‎

Possible, but also speculation. Kitkat TalkContribE-mail 22:09, 7 October 2012 (GMT)

Half-Life reference?[edit]

After accepting her quest she says "With my brains and your brawn this treasure will soon be mine", a similar line is said by the scientists in half-life when you get them to follow you. Reference maybe? 84.82.215.132 21:05, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Far far too common a trope to confine to one game, even the clever bad guy and the dumb good brute trope has been done many many times. Without an exact quote this won't be a reference to anything. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 22:02, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Has skill destruction?[edit]

I was interested what spells she is supposed to know since this wiki says she has affinity for destruction? So far, she ends up dying a lot as a thrall and seems to throw no spells, but I have two followers in addition--Ormond from the Winterhold Mage's College, and the ghost of Katria from the tonal locks that would not open or light up past the first one even when hit in the correct sequence. 198.91.176.251 06:49, 1 March 2018 (UTC) reposted after it being undone from a larger edit 198.91.176.251 00:26, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

She knows no spells. A rather important point is that she is a level 1 NPC, quite useless as a thrall even ignoring that she knows no spells as her health will always be 50. The skills summary lists her best skills, which don't take into account what level they are. In her case her Destruction skill is 25, followed by Light Armor, Sneak, Alchemy, Alteration, and Illusion all at 20. Even if she was leveled her class does her no favors, as it would have leveled her One-handed, Archery, Sneak and Light Armor combat skills as well as some crafting skills. Medresi is doomed[edit]

I wanted to experiment to see if she could be saved by your quick action, like other NPCs in the game. As she ran into the room, I blasted her with unrelenting force, which propelled her across the trap, but did not trigger it. On the other side, she stands there recovering for a moment next to the treasure chest she wanted, but returns "This person is busy" when you try to interact with her, then she circles back around and runs over the trap again, dying. I also tried to blast her off the trap the moment it gets triggered, but instead of flying from the platform, she glowed when she was hit and then collapsed in place until the spikes crushed her. It seems that Medresi must die. I don't know that this should be added to the article, but at least for the curious, there is nothing you can do, just let it play out as scripted. - BelowTheRoot (talk) 14:27, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
