Type of Mine[edit]

Maybe there should be a table listing what can be mined at what location? No idea how that would be set up, but it would be useful. Keldi 17:28, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

I noticed that the links are associated with the first line of the corresponding mine page. I tried to edit the first line of one of them to include the ore type, but after the edit the first line was gone from this page (Mines). I'd prefer also if every single mine listed the type of ore, as several in this list do not; however, I don't know how to make the page link maintain the first line, or how to edit in a note about what kind of ore is present without damaging the flow and concise-ness of the page. Okay, I've updated several pages so that the type of ore is listed in the description. As for the issue you had with the line being removed from this page, you sometimes have to "purge" a page for a transclusion to work on another page. If you have the issue in the future, you can purge it yourself by creating an account and customizing your preferences, or you can go the simpler route and request someone else to do it for you. I've gone ahead and purged all the pages I updated, just in case. — ABCface 19:36, 12 October 2012 (GMT)

Ore Vein Refresh?[edit]

I mined all the ore out of a mine before and as I passed by I noticed the ore and ingots outside the mine were back, after I'd taken them, so I reentered the mine and saw that the ore veins' color had returned. But I can't target them, I can't mine them. Is this a bug? It seems like it would be intended for them to refresh so one could mine again, otherwise refreshing their color seems pretty pointless. Oh, sweet! I'll give that a try, I was also totally unaware that you could mine by simply attacking the vein with pickaxes. Thanks. Bushwhacker 01:25, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Mine Size[edit]

I noticed that Damphall Mine is listed as a large iron and silver mine, even though it only has two iron ore veins and one silver ore vein. On the other hand, Gloombound Mine which has sixteen ebony ore veins and six iron ore veins is listed as a small ebony and iron mine. Clearly, these size designations denote the area of the location rather than the number of ore veins. The problem with that is that I don't care all that much how large or small the physical area is, but the number of ore veins in the mine is very important to me, and I suspect that most players have similar priorities.
