Translation[edit]

In translating the names of the Dragon Masks, I think this can be one of two things depending on the conjugation/casing of the language. Either: God Grounder (from Rah - Golt) or Rager (Rahgol). I'm adding this here so others can figure out what to do with these possibilities. --Droviin 11:25, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Not an artifact?[edit]

It should be noted that Rahgot is the only headgear that has an 'Fortify Stamina' effect on it. Therefore, it's unique, unlike the text in the 'Note' section states. Could somebody remove or rewrite that? — Unsigned comment by 88.78.55.107 (talk) at 02:26 on 21 March 2013

It's just consistency. A unique enchantment exists nowhere else. The Helm of Yngol is the only headgear that has resist frost as an enchantment, but it too is not considered an artifact by the website definition, for the same reason. Back when the Skyrim stuff first started getting added, those were the criteria set for artifacts: must exist only once, have a unique look, and a unique enchantment. The standard goes back further than that. We have similar criteria for both Morrowind and Oblivion. (Even Arena and Daggerfall use something similar, I believe, though that's outside of my field of expertise.) — TheRealLurlock (talk) 01:45, 21 March 2013 (GMT)

Artifact note (moved from article)[edit]

  • Rahgot does not technically meet the qualifications to be an artifact because it does not have a unique enchantment: its enchantment is the same as all <Apparel> of Peerless Stamina. Nevertheless, it has been included in the artifacts list, along with Morokei, for consistency with the other eight masks, which do all meet the requirements.

I have removed this from the page because it pertains to a decision made by the UESP with regards to inclusion in a wiki category. Since it isn't directly related to the item in the game, it's rather out of place in the notes section. Since the talk page discussion in which this was decided is here for reference, I don't think it's necessary to say anything else on the actual article, with the possible exception of some appropriately-placed hovertext to let people know not to remove it from the category.
