Safe Storage?[edit]

Anyone know if any of the containers in here are safe to store stuff in? Since this would be an awesome unofficial house with it's lack of nearby enemies and the nearby Orc Stronghold with merchants. Lord Eydvar 04:53, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Both chests (inside and outside) are not safe, they reset after 10 days however the dresser is safe. — Unsigned comment by 65.92.221.200 (talk) at 21:48 on 17 March 2013‎

any stuff to do?[edit]

If there are no quests or related events I think the page should - for clarity - say so. That is, the page should say that this is basically a tower and to snoop around for more is fruitless. CapnZapp (talk) 16:36, 3 October 2012 (GMT)

According to the style guide, the 'Related Quests' section is only present on place pages which have quests. If it doesn't have a quest, the fact that such a section is omitted implies this. Also, once a place page is completely written, the absence of such information implies this as well. As for adding a note that snooping around is fruitless, such a note wouldn't be helpful, as this would depend on playstyle and opinion; it's too subjective. — ABCface 16:44, 3 October 2012 (GMT)
Ah, thx. I didn't realize there was a rule that no information actually means "no information" (rather than "possibly no information; possibly information not entered yet"). I guess the way I'm accustomed to every place having something going on should be taken as praise by Bethesda... :)

Dwarven Waterbreathing Helm[edit]

Apologies for not having the exact name handy, but when I was searching the interior zone I found a Dwarven Helm with a waterbreathing enchantment at the very top of the central staircase spire. I had to jump up to see it & time my click just right to grab it. Can anyone else confirm this, or was it perhaps placed there by a mod? — Unsigned comment by 76.115.61.243 (talk) at 22:56 on 5 February 2013

For my first time in here, I didn't see any helmet. Just the fire pot above the spiral staircase, assorted dwemer scrap, chimarvamidium, and the dwemer chest. I'm playing ps3 legendary edition. MrViggy53942 (talk) 16:43, 1 May 2015 (GMT)
At the spot you mentioned, I found an Elven Helm. So I suppose it's just a random helmet. (Playing without mods.):: Emma of Falkreath (talk) 07:49, 22 March 2018 (UTC) Emma

In game lore concerning the tower[edit]

It's worth noting, I think, that daynas valen's notes from folgunthur heavily imply that this is the location of archmage gauldur's tower. — Unsigned comment by 73.90.66.146 (talk) at 14:56 on 20 February 2021

Daynas Valen's notes heavily imply that Gauldur's tower no longer exists: "Gauldur himself was interred in a cave not far from where his tower once stood" -- that phrasing is basically a way of saying the tower is no longer standing. Reachwind Eyrie is still standing, so it has to be a different tower. --Gez (talk) 15:55, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
