Backscratcher[edit]

I adopted Samuel, and while we were both outside Heljarchen Hall, he dropped to his hands and knees and appeared to scratch his back with his wooden sword. In over 1100 hours of gameplay, I have never seen any other NPC do this. Does anybody know if this behavior is unique to Samuel, common to children, or common to all NPCs? --Xyzzy Talk 17:40, 5 October 2013 (GMT)

I have seen other children do this. Only adopted children with Hearthfire installed, of course, since no other children are ever armed. --Morrolan (talk) 18:01, 5 October 2013 (GMT)

Glitch?[edit]

It's been about 100 ingame days since I adopted sam and he won't go to my house. I adopted Sofia prior to this and I own the breezehome, so I don't believe that there's an issue with housing. He just never leaves the orphanage and every time I approach him he just says the departing dialogue "Just let me get my things and say goodbye.". Does it take 100 days to say goodbye to everyone or something? Anastasia0812 (talk) 20:40, 7 October 2013 (GMT)

This same bug has been reported when adopting Sofie. What platform are you playing on? There's a couple of fixes on her page that may work for Samuel as well. I'll add a bug entry to the article. --Xyzzy Talk 03:14, 10 October 2013 (GMT)
