Esbern quest[edit]

On the PS3 version, If you have killed the dragon that lives there before you get the quest from Esbern, the blades will meet you there but you will not be able to finish the quest.

I just removed this from the article itself and placed it here for a few reasons. Esbern is involved in several quests, none of which involve Skyborn Altar that I have seen. It's possible this user was thinking of Skyhaven Temple, in which case I've seen bugs mentioned about that before. Also, as far as I know no one else has encountered this issue at Skyborn Altar and so I thought it belonged on this Talk page rather than the article itself. (Any more experienced UESP editors who feel this should be handled differently, please let me know as I am just trying to help, and don't know if there's a better way to edit this.) -Alphabetface 16:14, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Hello, I have this very same problem in my PS3, I believe it is a real bug, in Skyborn Altar — Unsigned comment by 201.75.58.161 (talk) at 05:36 on 24 February 2012
After looking at Esbern's page and all the related quests I realized the quest you're probably talking about is Dragon Hunting, which sends you to a radiant location (sometimes here, but not always). I'll add the note back to the article, thank you for clarifying this issue. Alphabetface 15:00, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Directions[edit]

I would like to contest that the labyrinthian path is the fastest when the Mehrune's Dagon shrine is quite literally a hop, skip, and a jump from Skyborn Altar.Chronic 01:52, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Clearable[edit]

I nailed the Wispmother and her spawns, and did the Word Wall before finishing "Dragon Rising". Meaning that dragons were not spawning at the time. I did not get credit for Clearing the site which suggests that slaying the dragon is needed to gain the credit. Han 22:46, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

locked chest[edit]

I've just completed this dragon/word wall and then went looking for the silver ore mentioned in the notes sw of the bottom stair and instead found an unmentioned adept locked chest, not sure if lock is leveled, but don't think so I'm lvl 61. it's sw of stairs right against rock wall just passed a large tree right near same wall with rock protusion making you jump over rock or go around tree....all still in view of the stairs. getting a word from this wall twice[edit]

No idea how this happened, but I got 2 words from the wall in this location. I went there quite early in my game, got the first word of frostbreath, no problem. Then I went to Solstheim and finished the dlc in about 40 game days. When I came back to Skyrim I went on a dragon soul hunt, visiting all dragon altars. I visited Bonestrewn crest first and got the second frostbreath word. After that I fast traveled to Skyborn altar, killed the dragon and surprisingly got another word from the wall, giving me all 3 frostbreath words even though I have not visited or even discovered Folguntur yet. — Unsigned comment by 89.98.69.233 (talk) at 10:03 on 24 July 2013

Can't get the word...[edit]

For some strange reason I can't seem to learn the word on this wall. I already learned the first word of Frost Breath from somewhere else, and when I defeated the dragon and went to this the wall it showed the word I learned from the wall (on the play screen), but didn't play the music (which I thought was weird). So I went to the Shouts section of Magic, and it didn't allow the word I learned to be unlocked; in fact it was not there at all. So I loaded it and tried it about twice more but to no avail. I then tried a fourth time (this time a few game days later after I killed the dragon), and this time it played the epic choir music, but alas no unlock-able word! Is what you're experiencing similar to one of these? •WoahBro►talk 04:26, 10 November 2014 (GMT)

Dragon falling downhill[edit]

I thought this was a one off too and after reading Alphabetface's comment I checked it using several different saves (completely different characters). Out of 5 runs, 3 dragons ended up downhill and only 2 stayed on top. My memories not as good as it once was but I vaguely remember seeing this once before. I'd say its a normal (non-bug) function at this location - or a very consistent bug (LOL). As far as note-worthy? Well, it took me quite a few frustrating minutes to figure out what happened so yeah, to help others I'd say its noteworthy. Just my thoughts. p.s. Alphabetface, thanks for formating it better! I went ahead and tested myself and it happened twice in a row for me too. So definitely not a one-off, but I don't think it's really a bug either, so i'll just leave it as is. :) — ABCface 04:36, 23 March 2015 (GMT)
OK, Thanks for the confirm! Philbert (talk) 10:12, 23 March 2015 (GMT)
