What's the point?[edit]

Why would anyone want to do this quest? It's very expensive and it serves no purpose, other than the achievement. Even then, it has little meaning. I just don't understand why anyone would want to spend 1000 gold just to change their looks. Nikofeelan 02:59, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

This is a topic more suited for the forums.--Skyrimplayer 03:01, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
Some people grow dissatisfied with how their character looks over time, is the most likely answer. Anyway, this kind of conversation is better suited for the forums than the wiki. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 03:01, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Help?[edit]

The face sculptor doesn't work for my Dunmer. My imperial it works fine for. What the crap? — Unsigned comment by 75.32.196.137 (talk) at 03:22 on 20 August 2012

If you want help with a problem, we need more than "WTF, it doesn't work". Care to elaborate? ES(talkemail) 03:23, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
It won't let me exit the menu once I've selected changes. — Unsigned comment by 75.32.196.137 (talk) at 03:25 on 20 August 2012
Could being a werewolf potentially effect it? — Unsigned comment by 75.32.196.137 (talk) at 03:36 on 20 August 2012

new sort of "showracemenu" ?[edit]

since this quest introduce a way to change your appearance while outright disabling the sometimes problematic race & sex changes that come from showracemenu, it could be interesting to know what kind of console command or parameter, we need to use to bring up this particular option — Unsigned comment by 86.74.29.84 (talk) at 05:39 on 7 September 2012‎

resetting face issue[edit]

Hey anyone else having your faces structural features reset to preset1 when you try doing this? I keep getting this, my makeup, hair/eye color, and paint stays the same but everything else resets to the default values which then means I have to do like another 10min of edits to get my face back. possible ps3 bug needs confirmation[edit]

I've just done this and it kept bringing my character's "weight" back to the original mark from my initial creation. It looks like it only stays if you toggle the weight stat last and press the "Done" button while it's still highlighted. I reloaded the save and had the same problem. — Unsigned comment by 76.181.188.19 (talk) at 00:18 on 27 February 2013

i think it's just a display error, try scroll up instead of scrolling down and you will see it doesn't actually reset Dawn (talk) 00:43, 27 February 2013 (GMT)

name?[edit]

name too or just face?— Unsigned comment by ‎24.38.217.116 (talk) at 00:51 on 8 July 2013

Just appearance. *WoahBro►talk 04:56, 8 July 2013 (GMT)

Page Name?[edit]

Is there a reason this page is called Skyrim:Surgery and not Skyrim:Face Sculpter?— Unsigned comment by 99.232.107.195 (talk) at 10:18 on 26 March 2014

Because it's the name of the quest as it is in-game. We didn't make the name up, Bethesda did. •WoahBro►talk 14:23, 26 March 2014 (GMT)
Actually, the name is partly made up. The quest only appears in the Misc section, so no name is displayed in-game. Unlike some other quests where the name just isn't displayed, this one doesn't have a name at all, just the internal ID DLC1Surgery, from which the page name was derived. --Alfwyn (talk) 17:17, 26 March 2014 (GMT)
"Face Sculptor" is a logical name to search on and this page only came up second in the results, so I created a redirect for it. Robin Hood  (talk) 18:04, 26 March 2014 (GMT)

Not being able to press done after making changes[edit]

I can't press done after making changes to my character.

I found a fix if you are on PC where you make the changes you want then type "coc riverwood" whilst still in the editor and you teleport with the changes saved. — Unsigned comment by 82.8.195.7 (talk) at 14:58 on 17 January 2016‎
