Taarie - how to marry?[edit]

There are many statements that Taarie is not a marriage subject or it is considered impossible without some console tweaking. I have done some research. The main issue is her disposition, which is basically not enough to start the marriage-talk with player. The only way WITHOUT console (and for some, even the console didn't work) was to invest a 500 gold in her shop. This, however, requires high-level Speechcraft skill and appropriate perks.— Unsigned comment by 87.99.4.150 (talk) at 14:42 on 18 March 2012 (UTC)

I can confrim that you are correct after investing in her store she became available for marriage. Which means she may not be bugged at all her standards are simply higher then other potential brides. --Vukodlak 05:59, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
I wanted to make a note here that it is NOT necessary to complete her favor to make her available for marriage, I have just agreed to do it (without having actually doing any of the steps after agreeing) and happened to be wearing an Amulet of Mara, I then invested in her shop and she immediately initiated marriage dialog. It says in the article that she becomes available after investing and COMPLETING her favor, so I thought it might be something we ought to change. --Scribbles (Crayolamanic) (talk) 05:15, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
I changed it. --Scribbles (Crayolamanic) (talk) 05:19, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
Another question: I have all the required perks to invest in her shop, but I can't. For whatever reason, she never offers shop services. She keeps wandering around in Solitude and if she happens to be in the shop, only her sister stands behind the counter. Is that a glitch or do I simply have to wait for a long time? — Unsigned comment by 80.130.142.130 (talk) at 07:11 on 10 May 2013

Quest Affects Relationship Rank?[edit]

Is completing "Fit for a Jarl" quest supposed to improve your relationship with her? --88.245.29.87 16:05, 6 October 2012 (GMT)

Yes, but it's not enough to marry her. See the above section. —Legoless (talk) 14:36, 7 October 2012 (GMT)

Taarie-Morrowind[edit]

When doing a search for this Altmer's page, another Taarie came up this one from Morrowind. Both are Altmer and female so I'm not sure if it's the same Taarie?--67.185.108.121 02:26, 8 February 2013 (GMT)

Neither she nor her sister ever mention anything about Vvardenfell or Morrowind, so there's nothing to indicate this other than name and race. — ABCface 02:42, 8 February 2013 (GMT)
Thanks for checking and for clarifying.--67.185.108.121 02:52, 8 February 2013 (GMT)
Bethesda likely uses some sort of random name generator (which is clearly race- and gender-specific) to create the names of their hundreds (thousands in the case of Morrowind) of NPCs. It's no surprise when a few names turn up duplicated here and there. It's also not unrealistic - try looking your own name up on Google some time - unless you have an unusually weird name odds are you'll find a bunch of people that aren't you. Invest in Her Shop[edit]

Taarie - How do I invest in her shop.

Before you ask, I have the Investor perk and completed the quest where I wear her clothes in front of Elisif. Whenever I talk to Taarie after that, though, she never gives me the dialogue option to invest in her. Her partner in Radiant Raiment does, but not Taarie. Am I missing something? — Unsigned comment by Unseelie (talkcontribs) at 19:42 on 14 April 2013

Eyes?[edit]

I've got Dawnstar installed and she has the red glowy eyes of a vampire. I've checked over my mods and none of them mention Solitude or vampires. So...what's going on?— Unsigned comment by 75.185.8.53 (talk) at 18:44 on 25 January 2014‎ (GMT)

It seems as though her eyes aren't vampire ones as they are simply gold, not exactly glowing. Seems Altmer can have naturally yellow or gold eyes. May just be the lighting. I wondered the same thing and came here to check on it. Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 02:40, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

Buying and Selling[edit]

She's behind the counter, asking if I'm there to buy, but no dialogue to buy from her is ever present, same with investments. — Unsigned comment by Desterine (talkcontribs) at 12:30 on 1 August 2015 (UTC)

Lakeview Manor[edit]

I have attempted to marry her and have noticed she has no dialogue to move to lakeview is this an error with the character or a glitch due to a mod. — Unsigned comment by 212.69.50.7 (talk) at 19:55 on 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Taarie dead. How?[edit]

when i could not find Taarie nowhere in Solitude i used player.moveto 198AC and got to dead body cell with some naked bodies AND one of them was Taarie! How could that happen? Since i didn't kill nobody in Solitude yet (except that Argonian from "Lights Out") and i don't have Dawnguard so no vampire attacks either nor i have done anything of Civil War nor i joined Dark Brotherhood and i have not done Dragon Rising Ciberzombie (talk) 12:02, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

If you fast travel to any other part of a city, in this case the palace, enter through the back door, or even when you leave a building anywhere in the city, something bad could still happen at the gates to the city and you wouldn't know it. It could also have been a fight triggered by you dropping something which a few people tried to claim and they got into a fight, or even just one of the low-responsibility NPCs trying to take food that resulted in a fight which she joined in. There are many ways for an NPC to die in Skyrim that do not involve vampires or dragons, making it impossible to know how if you don't witness it. I used resurrect 1 on her then evp , checked her relationship rank and its 0 but i have done her quest and invested , i rised rank to 1 and can't still marry her nor at rank 2 nor 3 and yes i have talked with Maramal about marriage and have mara amulet on Ciberzombie (talk) 13:13, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
The marriage quest probably already removed her when it found her dead. It can be tricky to re-add, possibly disabling and re-enabling Taarie after resurrection, maybe restarting the marriage quest (finish it via console). Once dead the game knows and removes them from relevant scripts, making it hard to fully restore anyone to their former self. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 14:09, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
I found out why i could not marry her, it was because of relationship rank, i used "setrelationshiprank 198AC 1" but did not used "setrelationshiprank player 1" , so appears i did not invest in her but in her sister, after i used both commands the marriage went as supposed from "are you interested" to "where we will live" tho i did not yet came back to that home (Proudspire) after marriage to check if everything got right. Can someone put fix for marrying her after investing in her sister, to use setrelationshiprank player 1 (for pc) to the page Ciberzombie (talk) 19:50, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
