[edit] Inky Darkness Creeping into Everything.
On the PS3, I noticed that all the items in the temple were dark, as though the darkness had coated them. I thought this was a cool effect, until it spread to other stuff in my inventory and finally to the objects shown during the loading screens. Quitting to the game start menu fixed the problem. I don't know if this counts as a bug, but I wanted to see if anyone else had this happen. Svenja Silver-Blood (talk) 00:46, 1 October 2012 (GMT)
[edit] Alteration hack/bug
Stand in the beam that damages magicka with a alteration armor spell on, and it will increase the skill. it does this all the way to 100, did it on a PC in 1.8 patch. — Unsigned comment by 24.75.113.70 (talk) at 18:03 on 30 November 2012
[edit] PRID for Meridia's Beacon?
I seem to have somehow lost the beacon. I went up to th shrine to place it and nothing happened. So looking through my inventory I can't find Meridia's Beacon. I can't find the prid only the ref number does that mean I can use additem? I don't want to make a copy of the beacon unless it's a last resort. King Mango (talk) 00:52, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
- I got adventurous and decided to try additem which didn't cause any problemKing Mango (talk) 02:22, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
[edit] Appearing in Solstheim
Alrighty guys! I just found Meridia's Beacon in a random chest on Solstheim, I just thought I would add this here so somebody could use the information properly. It was a completely random chest that I found on the side of the mountain just above Snowclad RuinsChronic (talk) 23:44, 12 December 2012 (GMT)
- In my first playthrough the beacon appeared in Bleak Falls Temple in a chest after defeating the boss there. I thought it was a part of the Dragon Claw quest. If I remember well, it was among the first quest I did, not much before that. So this quest can be triggered at the very beginning of the game too. — Unsigned comment by 86.101.32.61 (talk) at 18:01 on 28 January 2013
[edit] Dawn is Breaking
This section of the walkthrough mentions there is nothing on the first floor after re-entering the temple from the boss-loot chest. This is not true. I always find a ring in the southwest corner on a wooden plate on a table against the wall to the right of the desecrated corpse which also has the usual amount of gold for this quest.
Also after activating the pedastal that opens the first door of this room at the top of the eastern stairs, there is a hallway that leads to a room. In this room is door with a desecrated corpse in front of it. This door is trapped with spikes that shoot up out of the ground. It can be opened safely if you are far enough away.
The lever in the hallway with the trip-wire is not clear to me what it does. I have played through without throwing it and have not been able to detect any difference in the level.King Mango (talk) 19:37, 15 January 2013 (GMT)
- The reason for the "nothing on the first floor" is that we generally never mention minor loot and stuff like that (unless it makes the text flow better) in quest walkthroughs - all of these details will go on the place pages later on. As for the handle - I honestly can't remember. However, if you find any mistakes in the walkthrough, feel more than free to correct them. --Krusty (talk) 21:24, 15 January 2013 (GMT)
