Expel Daedra[edit]

In regards to the VN tag recently placed on the page, from the Creation Kit, it looks like Expel Daedra should affect Unbound Dremora. This should be confirmed in game, though. Robin Hoodtalk 04:27, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

I just did this quest and Expel Daedra did not work, Command Daedra did not work either it just glows purple. When I used Expel Daedra during the quest, the Unbound Dremora was not be banished however it did cause it to run away. Using Command Daedra just caused it to go down on one knee for a second then get right back up. After the quest was finished and the Unbound Dremora was just hanging around the college using the spells wont even hit it they just seem to pass right through. Infact all spells seem to pass right through it, even arrows just go right through it. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 06:14, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Hostility by Quest NPCs[edit]

I did this quest while I had Delphine and Esbern following me for the quest Alduin's Wall. They do attack the Unbound Dremora on sight, and you can't have the dialog making this quest impossible to complete. A solution I found is to ask them to wait far away (behing the tower where the Arcaneum is is far enough) while I do the quest alone. They also do keep attacking the Unbound Dremora on sight after the quest is completed and it is left wandering the College. If you're caught in this situation you have to reload, as they'll keep fighting the Dremora indefinitely (as they're essential NPCs) and never get back to following you. Maybe this also should be mentioned in the article as a bug. 201.86.160.197 19:30, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

This bug is noted on the quest page. — ABCface 18:38, 20 July 2013 (GMT)

How to get rid of him[edit]

I finished the relevant quest some time ago, and only just now discovered the unbound dremora is still around. he attacks some of the mages, but seems to ignore others. he isnt hostile to me either. I tried to attack him, but theres no effect. arrows just pass right through him like he isnt there. I cant initiate dialogue with him either. 360 all DLC and patches. This is a known bug, documented on both this and the quest page as confirmed. Unfortunately, there's nothing to be done about it on XBox or PS3, at least not anything reported yet. — ABCface 18:41, 20 July 2013 (GMT)
Just some memo. QF_MGRitual03_00099F27.pex is the script which cause such trouble. Penuser (talk) 17:49, 13 June 2014 (GMT)

Unbound Dremora Attacks Dremora Butler[edit]

I just discovered this yesterday. I needed to withdraw money from my Dremora Butler, to buy the new spells I had unlocked, while I was standing on top of the Hall of Attainment. As soon as my Dremora Butler spawned, the Unbound Dremora immediately began to attack him and preventing me from accessing the Dremora Butler's inventory. Been playing this game on my PS3 since 2014 and this is something new to me. I can only assume that the same thing will happen to the Dremora Merchant as well.

If anyone wants to confirm it, or what-have-you, I play Skyrim: Legendary Edition on my PS3.

Unbound Dremora attacks Barbas the dog from a Daedra's Best Friend quest[edit]

In the Daedra's Best Friend quest I had Sarana pickup the quest Rueful ax or whatever it is. I wanted to stash some loot that was encumbering me with its extra weight so visited the mage's college to place it in one of my room's cupboards, then got into the Conjuration ritual spell quest.

Barbas is invincible probably due to being marked as required.

Barbas runs off into the stairway to let the quest begin, but comes back part way into the next summoning of the unbound Dremora. The Dremora repeatedly and instantly attacks Barbas on sight and the fire enchanted Daedra great sword swings right into me and causes me no damage at all because it was directed purely at Barbas.

Barbas just barks and bites the unbound Dremora seemingly with zero effect prompting and endless fight sequence where neither can win...

Correction, start from scratch all over again summoning the unbound Dremora for the first time and the fight ensues against Barbus where the Dremora refers to Barbus as "no, not by a mortal...". I went back inside the stairway to second floor, did a wait for 1 hour then the fight resumed indoors where some of the college mages were helping the unbound Dremora attack Barbas. I went back upstairs outside on the roof and the mages followed me and Barbas as did the Dremora. The Dremora went into submission mode 3 times or so, but after the third time I hit the Dremora with an arrow from the summoned bound bow where upon he was banished back to oblivion and I captured his soul with the perk on the bound bow for soul stealing. All of this without having any dialog with the unbound Dremora.

Also, if you have ridden your horse up to the college plaza and the unbound Dremora was at plaza rather than roof elevation/level there hunting a dragon attack situation now ended with the dragon's death, the Dramora shall attack your horse and kill it. I am not sure if the horse or unbound Dremora have some programmed hostilities or disposition or what? 198.91.176.251 04:43, 23 December 2019 (GMT)
