[edit] Spells

Anyone know if Vampire Lords can use Destruction/Conjuration/etc spells in addition to their Vampire spells? — Unsigned comment by (talk) on 11 June 2012

-No, Vampire Lord's can only use blood/night magic. — Unsigned comment by (talk) at 10:51 on 7 July 2012
Is Destruction or Conjuration skill raised by casting the Night and Blood magics? Do these skills decrease the spell cost? Has the One-Handed skill any inlfuence on ground fighting damage for the Vampire Lord? Will it increase after striking with the hands? Aran Mafre 23:24, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

[edit] NPC Vampire Lords

The only NPC I ever saw in Vampire Lord Form is Lord Harkon, but I wonder is there any notion towards the possibility that there are others with the same power? Does Harkons family have it? What about his advisors? Or is the PC really the only other Vampire Lord. — Unsigned comment by (talk) at 21:45 on 2 October 2013‎

Theoretically going by the lore, Serana and Valerica are also Vampire Lords. However neither of them ever transform. It is not clear what the exact status of the other vampires at Castle Volkihar are; none of them disclose the exact method used to make them vampires, but it is strongly implied by Harkon's dialogue that they are also "true" vampires, i.e. Vampire Lords. None of them ever transform either. --Morrolan (talk) 00:26, 3 October 2013 (GMT)

[edit] Not just according to him ~

"...only the more pure-blooded vampires such as those of Lord Harkon's court have this ability and, according to him, the family's vampirism was a gift directly from Molag Bal himself."

Serana says it originated from a ceremony with Molag Bal as well. Also she mentions the ceremony was rather degrading, and fun for the whole family. :P

[edit] Carry Weight

While in Vampire lord form my carry weight is 1000. Martingolding96 (talk) 12:00, 24 February 2014 (GMT)

[edit] vampire hostility

will NPC attack a vampire lord in regular form — Unsigned comment by (talk) at 19:05 on 15 April 2014

No they shouldn't attack you at all even if you are a stage four vampire with Dawnguard installed, unless the UESP patch or mods messes with the the AI behavior on pc or modded consoles. Wrath425 (talk) 03:43, 16 July 2014 (GMT)

[edit] Argonian Vampire Lord Glitch

Does anyone have a fix for disappearing whenever an Argonian character build enters Vampire Lord mode? — Unsigned comment by Darth Exsecratus (talkcontribs) at 01:11 on 26 June 2014 (GMT)

[edit] Odd Bats when Within the Black Books

I noticed the other day that when you use the Vampire Lord form while within the Black Books from the Dragonborn DLC, the bats that surround the player when you enter melee range are a solid white rather than the usual bat color. I haven't had a chance to re-test this to see if it was a one time thing or to see if the "Bats" power is also affected, but if this is consistent, then it may be worth putting in either the "notes" or "bugs" section depending on if someone can look at the game files and see if it is intended as a unique visual effect to go with Hermaeus Mora's realm or just a glitch caused by being there. I intend to replicate it and test it again when I get a chance, however I can't access the game data as I play on the 360. It didn't seem to have any effect on the gameplay at all, so if it is a bug then it's of the purely graphical sort...... Gamer3427 (talk) 01:22, 30 July 2014 (GMT)

I haven't seen this, but it sounds like a fairly common graphics issue. I've seen similar behavior on PCs in areas that have a lot of visible objects. The graphics system doesn't keep up with putting textures on objects so they turn out as simple one color objects or pure white. On a PC you can often fix it by turning down the graphics settings a bit. I don't know if you can do anything like that on an XBOX. Mudeye (talk) 18:37, 27 October 2014 (GMT)

[edit] Specifics on what counts and what doesn't for Perk progress when using Vampiric Drain

I've noticed that some undead actually count towards perk progress when killed with Vampiric Drain. Specifically: draugr and other vampires. Dragons do not seem to count for perk progress - or at least you don't get the "Life's Blood absorbed; vampire perk progress increased" message when killing them with it. This is with nothing but the base game, all expansions (DG, DB, and HF), and the unofficial patches for the above. - 01:11, 29 January 2015 (GMT)
