[edit] Animal Vigor for 200 extra health and stamina?

As a normal werewolf without the Animal Vigor perk you automatically get 100 extra health and stamina, does this mean it is increased to 200 with the perk, or does downloading dawnguard take away this initial bonus to werewolves until you get the perk? TheJ00baby 17:09, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

Increases it to 200 with perk. Timed how long it took for the swirly winds of death in front of the path to Parthurnaax took to kill me before and after buying perk to confirm health, and then timed how long I could sprint to confirm the stamina.Balnagghar 12:00, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
New Glitch for the Ring of Hircine Xbox 360: Ring doesn't give extra transformations per day if you're a werewolf. am I the only one with this glitch? — Unsigned comment by 174.3.151.161 (talk) at 22:46 on 3 September 2012‎
I'm playing on Xbox 360 also and I am able to transform multiple times per day. Just make sure after the first time you equip the Ring of Hircine and then use the Ring of Hircine Power, instead of the Beast Form power. 24.13.24.22 22:41, 30 December 2012 (GMT)

[edit] Totems Missing?

So I installed Dawnguard and got all the new Werewolf perks in a single days-long rampage. After beast form wore off, I went to the Underforge to check out my new abilities, but the totems are missing and there's nothing to interact with. Is there something else I have to do or is this just a glitch? (Playing on Xbox.) SonGoharotto 15:35, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Nevermind, just read through the article more carefully. SonGoharotto 20:17, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
I got the same problem (but on pc) but cannot find any article to this topic can u maybe help? — Unsigned comment by Xoron7 (talkcontribs) at 11:48 on 5 September 2012
The totems don't just appear. You have to retrieve them as part of a quest given by Aela. There are 3 quests, all with the same name, and each quest gives you one totem. 24.13.24.22 22:43, 30 December 2012 (GMT)

[edit] Unable to clear bounty after a forced transformation.

After starting Ill Met by Moonlight I fast traveled to the Whiterun stables and the cursed Ring of Hircine forced me to transform. I got a 1000g bounty so I just ran off and decided to come back later to pay it off. After returning to Whiterun, the guards say "wait, I know you" but I can't speak to them to pay my bounty/go to jail. — Unsigned comment by 71.237.146.8 (talk) at 17:30 on 1 September 2012

[edit] Werewolves in hunter/farmer form

Ive encountered this as well 24.63.171.231 22:52, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

It has already been confirmed.Skyrimplayer 23:09, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Actually, only the farmers are confirmed. I've moved the VN tag for clarification. Also, what we really need is verification from game-data, rather than personal reports. ABCface 01:24, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Sickness while being a werewolf?

It seemes some people have had this bug when you catch diseases even when you're a werewolf. It is said that first transformation cures the player, but does it work further? If you, while being a werewolf, are ill, and you transform, does it cure you? — Unsigned comment by 46.202.43.92 (talk) on 2 September 2012

No, it doesn't. However you can cure yourself in the normal ways while being a werewolf, by using a cure disease potion or praying at a shrine. Normally you only get diseases via certain traps that seem to ignore disease resistance, probably because of a bug. --Morrolan (talk) 03:26, 1 January 2013 (GMT)

[edit] Waiting Time (7 hours [citation needed])

I can tentatively verify that it took around 7 hours of wait time after feeding on 15 people (actually I think it took 8 hours in my case). I "waited" for 7-8 separate one hour increments (NOT by choosing a single 8 hour wait), sequentially, before the screen flashed indicating imminent transformation back to human form. During the part where I "waited," I would press T then press enter to wait 1 hour.... then genuinely wait about 3 seconds after the "wait" period ended before pressing T a 2nd time and repeating the step. I did this because I was unsure if I would just appear as a human after "waiting", or if the game would initiate the transformation animation AFTER the "wait" period. That was the first time I ever tested waiting while I was a werewolf. After 7 or 8 sequential one hour "wait" increments, the screen flashed and I transformed. Version 1.7.7.0.6 (8 updates + texture pack + Dawnguard)98.171.160.204 06:16, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

I can also verify that I have had to wait exactly seven hours (I even tested it in 1 hour increments) in order to change back after numerous feedings as a werewolf. --Negativeiamacapsicle (talk) 20:25, 26 November 2012 (GMT)
I have waited a single hour after feeding on a few bodies and been able to transform back, but then I went on a monstrous spree, getting around 6 perk points (from just after getting the 5th to just after the 11th and final point) and had to wait 7 hours before transforming back. I waited in single-hour increments and waited a few seconds for the flash to happen (indicative of transforming back to human) as well. 24.13.24.22 22:37, 30 December 2012 (GMT)

[edit] Where are my totems?

I have finished the quest "Totems of Hircine" from Aela and everytime i received a totem and placed it in the underforge it dissapeared...thought that's normal at this time...

So now there aren't any totems in the underforge and i cannot pray to any, i know a similar question was ask before but i cannot find the topic where i find my solving. — Unsigned comment by Xoron7 (talkcontribs) at 11:46 on 5 September 2012‎

[edit] What happens if someone sees me transform back to human form?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find any info about this. Let's assume I transform in a remote location where there are no NPCs around, like an empty house in white run. Then I exit the home to go on a rampage and kill some town guards, but suddenly my werewolf timer runs out and I change back to human form. Will my human form get a bounty on his/her head, and will the crimes that I committed as a werewolf retroactively add a bounty to white run for my human form? I'm probably going to test it soon, but it would be easier for me to know the risks before trying it out, as it would provide me with a good way to rid cities of annoying guards without raising my bounty if it worked the way I hope it works, as the pages always mention that transforming into a werewolf gives a huge bounty but nobody ever mentioned anything about bounties when transforming out of werewolf form, so I hope that transforming back doesn't net one... PS: I don't have Dawnguard installed. --Nv4dispbluescreen (talk) 10:41, 20 September 2012 (GMT)

Tested it and found out that transforming back into human form also gives the 1000 gold bounty if anyone sees me. --Nv4dispbluescreen (talk) 08:55, 23 September 2012 (GMT)

[edit] Permanent Transformation

An 100% guaranteed method (a least for me) to be stuck in beast form. Yesterday I saw

"If you are wearing the Ring of Hircine when you cure yourself of lycanthropy, then it is possible to retain the power to transform into a werewolf once per day. Unequipping the ring after you have been cured does not disable this bug, thus allowing you to permanently have the ability to transform, even after you are cured."

this on the main page, and decided to try it out.

My character's current state: Lv50, Nord, a werewolf, has finished companion quest line and found the 3 totems of Hircine. No follower, beast form power used up (grey out), no purification quest active. Carried and equipped the cleansed Ring of Hircine.

What I did: At Ysgramor's tomb, active the flame with a witch's head, then defeat the wolf spirit in man form. As soon as it vanished, active the Ring of Hircine. The transformation went successfully, while the radial blur happened twice, which I think is because the game tried to revert the character's form as the lycanthropy was cured, but somehow the transformation went on. Then this transformation is permanent. For some reasons, a radial blur happened when my character under this permanent beast form fed for the first time; and then everything was normal, except that I'd waited 5 in-game days and still in werewolf form.

I'm trying to find a explanation for this as well as any methods, except using a mod, to keep Hircine's ring's ability even after the lycanthropy is cured. If anyone can tell me both or either, that will be super helpful. Fireanddream (talk) 20:57, 2 October 2012 (GMT)

When you cleanse Lycanthropy make sure the ring of Hircine is equipped - unless they've fixed that bug you can still do this. Sulhir (talk) 04:31, 7 November 2012 (GMT)

[edit] Druadach Redoubt

While running around in werewolf form, I came upon Druadach Redoubt (I've completed the No One Escapes Cidhna Mine quest). The ones standing guard outside didn't attack me, just looked at me and said their normal lines when I walked past. Everyone inside attacked me, however. Just wondering if anyone else can confirm that the outside only (at least after completing the Cidhna Mine quest) is a werewolf-friendly spot, and if so, then what's the best way of adding that to the page. Alarra (talk) 05:32, 16 November 2012 (GMT)

Oh, and they did attack the wolf spirits I summoned, anyway. They were just fine with me. Alarra (talk) 08:17, 16 November 2012 (GMT)

[edit] Howl of Terror

An editor added a note that the Howl of Terror also causes nearby wolves to come to your aid. Is this true? --XyzzyTalk 04:47, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

I thought that wolves always allied with you while in beast form. —Legoless 12:23, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
I don't think it's necessarily true. Wolves don't attack Werewolves, but they'll still attack anything else. Especially if that something else is in combat where the wolves will see/hear them. — Unsigned comment by 76.23.35.226 (talk) at 03:50 on 18 August 2012
While we're on the subject, could someone add the different magnitudes for the Howl of Terror? With or without Totem and perk? All I know is that even with the Totem of Fear, high level NPCs and creatures don't flee when shouting (likely lvl50+). Elakyn 20:17, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
Confirmed Xbox 360 - Wolves do come to you when you use howl of terror. Mine is the base howl, I don't actually believe that these wolves come to help you, rather they come because of your howl and then their AI takes over from there. IE attacking hostiles near you.Chronic (talk) 05:48, 19 December 2012 (GMT)

[edit] Dual vampire/werewolf bug

On the main page currently is this:

If a non-werewolf contracts Sanguinare Vampiris but has not become a vampire yet, becoming a werewolf will not cure vampirism. This will progress to the player being both vampire and werewolf at the same time. Since the werewolf feeding ability overrides that of the vampire, the player cannot feed and there will be no way to prevent progressing to Stage Four vampirism.

I don't think that's right. Has anyone else seen this? I've certainly had werewolf characters lose diseases when they drink Aela's blood, maybe this is an old bug that's been fixed in current updates of Skyrim? --Morrolan (talk) 03:28, 1 January 2013 (GMT)

It is true but not its that simple, basically when drinking the werewolf blood, you have to time it right and you will become both, being a hybrid with dawnguard installed is not bad since you do not have to worry about the lack of feeding anymore. you still get both weaknesses though.
There is also a way to become a vampirelord/werewolf hybrid but you do not get both powers at the same time like the other hybrid does, as a VL/W hybrid means you can only access your vampire powers while a "vampire" which means you must first transform in a vampirelord and then revert, if you transform into a werewolf and regain human form, you will only have the vampirelord transform power. The original hybrid type basically classes you as a werewolf with vampire powers, so you get all the powers minus vampire sight but a VL/W version can only be one creature at a time, though will still have access to the transformation powers. its kind of a good balance really. 217.137.157.197 17:27, 5 January 2013 (GMT)

[edit] Feeding: Stamina first, than Health

If you feed while you're low on stamina, it will regenerate first. I noticed this at first, than when I killed my next enemy I completely drained my stamina and fed again. Same thing. I'd edit the page myself but over here it's 4 in the morning so I might have missed it if it's already on the page. Leaving a note here in case it's not and I forget by the time I wake up. Anyways, I don't have DG/HF/DB and I'm not patched at all. Mikeyboy52 (talk) 20:02, 21 January 2013 (GMT)

[edit] Werewolf perks gained outside of werewolf mode

I have a friend who is playing through his file, and on two separate occasions he received a message saying that he consumed a heart to increase his werewolf perks outside of his werewolf transformation. I had werewolfism, but cured it, and I never had this issue. We play Skyrim with DG, HF, and DB downloaded on the 360. Does anyone else know of this problem? I checked the archives and didn't see this before, so I was just very curious and somewhat worried. -Light-in-His-Eyes (talk) 16:20, 10 February 2013 (GMT)

[edit] Not necessarily a new bug with DLC

A new entry appeared under Bugs today:

"With the installation of the Dragonborn DLC, the disease immunity may stop working. (PS3)"

With so limited information about the bug, I am inclined to believe this might be the well known possible bug where you may contract diseases from traps even with 100% immunity. —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:08, 13 February 2013 (GMT)

I would agree with you here. Has anyone seen anything to indicate otherwise? eshetalk 18:05, 15 February 2013 (GMT)

[edit] Re: Split for Pack Members

Yeah, this is not good—when it was just the werewolf ones on here, that was okay, but if we're going to put all three together (as we should if they all have the same name, which I didn't realize before), they need their own page. I can add this to my to-do list, unless someone else wants to jump on it. eshetalk 14:55, 3 March 2013 (GMT)

I also think a split would be best. I only added the wolf Pack Members here because I thought they should be together with the werewolf Pack Members but im not sure this page is the best place for them. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 08:04, 5 March 2013 (GMT)
Done! eshetalk 19:00, 7 March 2013 (GMT)

[edit] Strange "Random" Encounter?

I had an encounter with werewolves that was nothing like the random encounters listed here so I wanted to see if it was a glitch or something undocumented. I've got all the DLC, the latest official patch, and the unofficial patches too. Playing on PC.

I was in The Rift on the southern road east of the alchemist's shack and the crossroad that leads north to Ivarstead. There was a regular wolf on the road ahead so I shot it with my bow and immediately a big pack of werewolves (6 or 8) came out of nowhere and tore me apart. I reloaded, ran into the same wolf, and the same thing happened again. I reloaded and used tfc to scout the area and saw the pack of werewolves just standing behind a little rise off the side of the road, facing the road like they were waiting. Everytime I killed that wolf they would charge and shred me. It was like a trap. They were just waiting for me to kill that innocent wolf so they'd have an excuse, like, "He killed Gary! Get him!"

I've never seen that encounter again even though random encounters repeat a lot (Hammerfell mercenaries, scavengers, thief who tells you to hold an item, assassins, etc). Is this a known encounter or a one time bug? It's the only time I've ever seen werewolves "in the wild". — Unsigned comment by 98.160.100.108 (talk) at 03:02 on 19 April 2013 (GMT)
