[edit] The War of the First Council

1E 688 - 1E 700

The secular Dwemer wages war against the House Dagoth of Morrowind and theDunmer Great Houses, and against their allies, the nomadic Ashlanders of Vvardenfell. At the final clash, the Battle of Red Mountain, the Dwemer mysteriously disappear and the Tribunal denounce Voryn Dagoth, the High Councilor of House Dagoth.

2E 816 - 2E 896

Eighty years battles and wars known as the The Four-Score War finally culminated in 2E 896 when Tiber Septim united all the previously chaotic provinces to form a single empire.

3E 110

King Orgnum of Pyandonea attacks Summerset Isle, a result of the political plot of Queen Potema of Solitude. Summerset is nearly overrun, but with the help of the Imperial Navy and the Psijic Order, the Altmer eventually vanquish the Pyandonean Armada.

[edit] The War of the Red Diamond

3E 120 - 3E 127

Kintyra II becomes the next Empress of the Septim Dynasty. Her uncles, Cephorus, King of Gilane and Magnus, King of Lilmoth attend the coronation, but her aunt, Queen Potema of Solitude is banished after insulting Kintyra in the front of the Elder Council. This banishment results in a war, a civil war known as the War of the Red Diamond, the symbol of the Imperial Family. In the surprising attacks, Skyrim and High Rock are easily defeated by the force of Queen Potema.

During this civil war, the Knights of the Nine are fractured and later completely dissolved. The four recovered relics of Pelinal Whitestrake are used in the war and lost afterwards.

[edit] The Camoran Usurper's Invasion

3E 249 - 3E 267

Haymon Camoran, known as the Camoran Usurper, a pretender to the Camoran throne of Valenwood, conquers all of Valenwood and Hammerfell with an army of daedra and undead.

In 3E 253, Dwynnen in High Rock is conquered.

In 3E 267, the combined armies of High Rock muster the greatest navy ever seen, and defeat and kill the Camoran Usurper and his armies on the Iliac Bay and on land.

[edit] The Invasion of Akavir

3E 270 - 3E 289

Uriel V attempts to invade the continent of Akavir starting with the Tsaesci Kingdom. Despite initial success, the majority of Uriel V's invasion force is destroyed and the emperor himself slain in combat. This war is chronicled in the book Report: Disaster at Ionith.

Imperial authority declines under the Simulacrum, resulting in several provincial wars.

[edit] The Arnesian War

3E 396

What started as a simple slave revolt in the House Dres lands of the south built on itself until the swampy plains erupted with blood and fire, pitting Morrowind against Black Marsh. Morrowind's armies ultimately defeated the rebels, but victory came at a price. In the chaos, Symmachus was slain, and Queen Barenziah, rightly fearing for her life, fled across the Empire to the High Rock kingdom of Wayrest. The Queen abdicated her throne, leaving it to her uncle Athyn Llethan, a House Hlaalu noble.

Summerset Isle defeats western Valenwood.

Skyrim destroys the combined forces of Hammerfell and High Rock.

Elsweyr defeats eastern Valenwood.

War between Daggerfall of High Rock and Sentinel of Hammerfell. The war takes its climax when both kings of Daggerfall and Sentinel are slain. In the end, the Daggerfall army, led by new crowned King Gothryd, son of King Lysandus, destroys the Sentinel army in the Battle of Cryngaine Field.

[edit] Daedric Invasion of Tamriel

3E 433

Uriel Septim VII and all of his known heirs are assassinated. Shortly afterwards, Daedra pour out of Oblivion gates which have opened throughout Tamriel. Widespread devastation and casualties. Empire is near collapse but, Uriel VII's illegitimate son, Martin Septim, manages to end the invasion with the help of a mysterious hero. The Amulet of Kings and Martin Septim, the last of the Septim bloodline, are lost. The mysterious hero then helps form the new Republic Of Tamriel. This event marks the end of the Third Era.
