| Creature | Description | Game(s) |
|---|---|---|
| Air Atronach | A powerful Lightning Elemental Daedra which can be summoned by more powerful magic users. Immune to normal weapons and shock, resistant to poison and can reflect spells. | Daggerfall |
| Alit | The Alit is a tailless two-legged predator common to the grasslands and ash wastes of Vvardenfell. Built like its larger and more dangerous cousin, the Kagouti, the Alit has a large head and protruding jaw, and when running on its short, stumpy legs, it looks like a big toothy mouth with feet (MW Prophecies). | Morrowind |
| Ancestor Ghost | Ancestor Ghosts commonly defend the tombs of clan and kin, but may also be summoned and controlled by sorcerers. Ancestor Ghosts are aggressive but not very dangerous -- if you have an enchanted or silver weapon or deadly sorcery. These ghosts can curse those who attack it and are immune to Disease, Frost, Poison and Normal Weapons (MW Prophecies). | Morrowind |
| Ancestor Guardian | A more powerful form of the common Ancestor Ghost. Typically immune to Disease, Frost, Normal Weapons, and Poison. | Morrowind, Oblivion |
| Ancient Lich | A Lich is an extremely powerful undead humanoid. They are usually extremely intelligent and are adept spell casters. Mithril or better magical weapons are needed to hurt them. They are created when a powerful mage seeks to escape mortality by becoming undead. The Ancient Lich is a more powerful form of Lich and should be avoided at all costs. | Daggerfall |
| Ancient Vampire | The vampire is one of the most powerful and feared undead found across Tamriel. Slightly less powerful than a Lich, the vampire is probably more feared by its ability to turn those they bite into vampires themselves, a fate often described as worse than death itself. Even if the bite does not render one a vampire, it may inflict another blood-borne disease on the victim. Vampires, especially the Ancient variety, are excellent fighters and spell casters and should be approached with extreme caution. The regular variety can be harmed by silver or better weapons, but the Ancient variety requires mithril or better to be damaged. See also Vampire. | Daggerfall, Morrowind |
| Ascended Sleeper | The Ascended Sleepers are distorted, half-human, half-beast creatures transformed by a mysterious force into powerful magical beings. Ascended Sleepers are highly intelligent, aggressive, and dangerous. Ascended Sleepers are associated in some way with the devil Dagoth Ur. They can afflict their opponents with a variety of deadly Blight diseases as well as damaging frost and fire attacks (MW Prophecies). | Morrowind |
| Ash Ghoul | The Ash Ghoul is a distorted, half-human, half-beast creature transformed by a mysterious force into a powerful magical being. Ash Ghouls are highly intelligent, aggressive, and dangerous. Ash Ghouls are associated in some way with the devil Dagoth Ur. They can cast a variety of minor magicks including Blight disease and spell reflection (MW Prophecies). | Morrowind |
| Ash Slave | The Ash Slave is a humanoid creature transformed by a mysterious force into a deranged beast. These creatures are aggressive and dangerous. Ash slaves are associated in some way with the devil Dagoth Ur. They can cast a variety of minor magicks including Blight disease and spell reflection (MW Prophecies). | Morrowind |
| Ash Vampire | A very powerful creature created by the dark magicks of Dagoth Ur. Ash Vampires are much like regular Vampires but are more powerful and take the same form as that of an Ascended Sleeper. They should only be approached with caution by the most experienced and well protected adventurers. | Morrowind |
| Ash Zombie | A creature magically created and transformed by the followers of Dagoth Ur. | Morrowind |
| Atronach | See specific entries on Air Atronach, Fire Atronach, Flame Atronach, Flesh Atronach, Frost Atronach, Ice Atronach, Iron Atronach, or Storm Atronach. Atronachs have no strong connection to any Prince, serving one or another at whim. They should not be confused with the artificial Atronachs, crafted by Guild mages around the Iliac Bay. Also known as "Golems". | Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion |
| Auroran | A golden skinned Daedra in the service of Meridia, these beings wield powerful axes infused with lightning. They are resistant to both magic and lightning, and use some shock based magic. | Knights of the Nine (Oblivion) |
