[edit] Nord
- - noun
- The name given to those originating from the province of Skyrim. Due to the harsh and cold conditions of their homeland, Nords are known to be extremely resistant to all forms of cold, including magical attacks. They are typically thought of as proficient fighters. The typical Nord is a tall and fair hair with pale skin. With the exception of the Redguards, all humans of current day are descended from Nordic stock. Nords are gifted with wood and timber construction which can be seen in some of the structures in Skyrim which survive from when the first settlers arrived, over 3000 years ago.
- The citizens of Skyrim are a tall and fair-haired people, aggressive and fearless in war, industrious and enterprising in trade and exploration. Skilled sailors, Nords can be found in seaports and settlements along all the coasts and rivers of Tamriel. Strong, willful, and hardy, Nords are famous for their resistance to cold, even magical frost. Violence is an accepted and comfortable aspect of Nord culture; they cheerfully face battle with an ecstatic ferocity that shocks and appalls their enemies. (MW Manual)
