To be considered for admission into the fighting order, one must demonstrate exceptional combat skills and a reputation for honor and loyalty to Daggerfall. In return, the knights are treated with unparalleled respect.

[edit] Knights of the Flame

The Knights of the Flame are the noble warriors of the Lorddom of Anticlere. Their allegiance is unswerving to Lord and Lady Flyte, who rescued them from the chaos following the War of Betony. Only those known for their loyalty to Anticlere and their blessed patrons are judged worthy to join the order. In return for their allegiance, the knights are treated as veritable gods in Anticlere where the guilds are mainly found.

[edit] Knights of the Moon

The Knights of the Moon were replaced by the Order of the Candle as the protectors of Sentinel.

[edit] Knights of the Nine

The Knights of the Nine were founded by Sir Amiel Lannus in 3E 111. The order's highest purpose was to recover the legendary Relics of the Crusader, which had been lost for thousands of years. Soon, the greatest knights of the day were lining up to join the order. The Knights became famous after Sir Amiel led them against the Wyrm of Elynglenn to recover the Cuirass of the Crusader. Soon thereafter, three more relics (the Gauntlets, Greaves and Sword of the Crusader) were found, giving the Knights even more fame and prestige. Sadly, the War of the Red Diamond tore apart the order; many knights left joining the war on one side or the other, some of them took Relics with them. After the war was over, the crumbling order was dissolved 3E 131, although in truth this was little more than a formality; the order had never recovered from the war.

[edit] Knights of Order

These crystal-like knights and priests are the loyal servants of the Daedric Prince of Order, Jyggalag. They appear during the Greymarch, which happens at the end of every era. The Greymarch is the cataclysmic event when Jyggalag and his knights attack and destroy the Shivering Isles, which is the realm of The Daedric Prince of Madness, Sheogorath. These knights are formed from Obelisks of Order, which appear all over the Shivering Isles during the Greymarch. However, in the 3rd Era, the greymarch was stopped by Sheogorath's Champion, thus ending the cycle and naming the champion the new Sheogorath.

[edit] Knights of the Owl

The Knights of the Owl are responsible for protecting and fighting for the royal family of Glenpoint. Only those of the most refined fighting skills and dedicated to the welfare of Glenpoint are considered for inclusion in the knightly order. [edit] Knights of the Thorn

The Knights of the Thorn are an amateur chivalrous order founded in 3E 431 by Farwil Indarys, the son of Count Andel Indarys of Cheydinhal. The Knights are considered by many of the town's citizens to be Farwil's drinking buddies, as they are arrogant and rarely perform any noteworthy deeds.
