Adaptation of the Imperial symbol, the Red Crystal dragon, into an unofficial Septim family crest.

Heirs to the right-royal and Sundered Throne of Cyrodiil, Tamriel, the Septim line began its ascent to Imperial-status with the rise of Talos, who took upon himself the Cyrodiilic name of Tiber Septim and founded the Third Empire in the year 897, marking the end of the Common Era and advent of the Third Era.

The following chart details the lineage of the Septim family in the first-degree only. The date of birth and death should be interpreted as Era / Year. For example, "2E/125" should be read as "Second Era in the year 125". All unknown dates are noted with the inclusion of "???". A † symbol next to a date of death indicates that the death was not natural. Names in bold indicate ruling emperors.
