Is this a spoiler? Granted both of these situations happen early in Oblivion, but it doesn't seem to fit in a general Tamriel page about Kvatch. - Jketola 14:33, 10 May 2006 (EDT)

I'm inclined to agree... the idea of the Tamriel pages is to be more descriptive, not historical (except of course pre-TES games historical). I'll edit it. -- Endareth^Talk 19:44, 10 May 2006 (EDT)

I got my first thief character to gather too many levels in Skingrad without really gaining any combat skills. Then the countryside appeared really dangerous, as I rode towards Kvatch, it was constant flight from trolls, bandits etc. I couldn't wait to reach the safe haven of the city walls. I galloped through the camp without paying attention and suspecting these people may be bandits, so I hurried ahead. "It's getting dark, okay. Storm begins, well, happens. Rather dark and dry here, probably high mountains flora." And then I take the last turn, stop and mutter "Quatsch". That was one of two moments when the game really made something I didn't even remotely expect. (The other was when Ocato didn't betray and accepted Martin as emperor :) - That gate there came as a shock, and the only in the whole game, really. --Vook 17:15, 10 May 2006 (EDT)
