More Body Types

Bodies should come on all sizes, shapes and ages!

  • Short & Tall
  • Fat & Slim
  • Athletic & Pudgy
  • Young ( infants, children) & Old( including extremely old, )
  • Healthy & Diseased

Note: The problem with varied body types is that, for some reason, the Bethesda meshes are all affected by a single change... That is, if you implement a mod with a 'muscular' mesh, everyone will become more muscular. It's uncertain how easily this could be achieved without some heavy modification.

Better Bodies

Tamrielic citizens as the gods intended...

Worse bodies and heads.

Just opposite. There's a lot of stuff to be tweaked in options but unfortunately NPC model details aren't, and with weak gfx card the game slows down to a crawl in presence of some characters. I could perfectly well do with simpler models (say, a'la Better Bodies from Morrowind) but with more than 2FPS or without spending two salaries on a better gfx card (and motherboard).

Actual Beards

Allow the player to make actual facial hair on there character, not just changing the facial shading. How can you have a wizard without a long beard?

Hairdressers

How about regular barber shops in each city where you could change your hairstyle?

  • This could also apply to tattoos, as well.
  • But while you are making it at least make hair cutting scissors.
  • Or you can also grow facial hair.
Size

Some people should become increasing larger or skinnier due to eating food.. (Healthier food and junk food implemented too). If characters eat too much food or too little food in the game, there is no physical body change visible.

  • It is strange that you can spend 20 minutes when you create the character just tweaking their face the way you want it, but you can't do anything at all with the rest of their body. Never mind that when you're actually playing the game, you pretty much never get to see your character's face, (except in menu-mode) as even in 3rd-person view you're always looking at the back of their head. But you can see the rest of them. There should be tall people, short people, fat people, thin people, etc., just based on bone-structure, let alone diet habits. Sure, Altmer and Nords should in general be taller than Bosmer and Bretons, but they shouldn't all be the exact same height as everyone else who's the same race, just like most Africans are in general taller than most East-Asians, but they're not all exactly the same height, and there are plenty of short Africans and tall Asians as exceptions to the general rule.
Beast-race bodies

In Morrowind the beast-races weren't just people with oddly-shaped heads and odd skin textures. But in Oblivion they are, and it doesn't look right. A mod could be made that makes their bodies look more like they did in Morrowind. A place to start should be: no breasts for Argonians and multiple ones for Khajiiti. No need to be nude just make them biologically correct!

Beast-race 'hair'

Just give them more styles, please! Yet again, Morrowind-esque is a good place to start.

A Dwarf Race

Make them short like real dwarves.

Masks

Stat-boosting masks with glowing eyes, help you see in the dark, resist poison, charm or frighten NPCs. Oh, and beards, of course, for the old wizards.

Real Roleplaying

Like what the size thing is like, but getting buffer by fighting or fat or thin, and actually having to eat and sleep so your character doesn't die from starvation.

  • Search for the mod Vim and Vigor. Adds eating and sleeping.
Body Scaling

Cant anyone make a mod that allows you to scale the x, y, and z parts of an object or person separately, even using the console if necessary?

Emo mod

For hilarity reasons, someone should make an emo mod. They could, for example, change textures to feature heavy eye make-up or tear tattoos, etc. Some NPCs could have scars on their wrists. And don’t forget the emo hair!

  • Ren's Beauty Mod already contains the "emo hair"
Actual Hair

I know that hair with collision isn't possible as of yet in oblivion. Could someone explain why? Might it be possible to work around hair clipping issues with animations? I love some of Ren's Long hairs but the clipping just kills my interest..
