[edit] Non-hostile Creatures

  • More pet types: Cats!! - possibly an aquarium 'NOTE' A cat mod has been made.
  • The ability to domesticate and own any sort of pet. Pets should be able to have offspring, for example: Ushnar's Skinned Hound could have puppies with a female wolf, or Porkchop or Bacon could mate with a female boar. Boars could be raised like livestock.
  • More livestock. All you ever see are the occasional sheep. Yet you can find beef and ham in peoples' houses everywhere. Where are the cows and pigs they come from? Included in recent versions of Martigen's Monster Mod
  • Horses should carry horsemeat when you slay them, too. Nords and Orcs constantly say that they like horsemeat stew, but where is the meat? Included in both Martigen's Monster Mod and Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul
  • Especially FRIENDLY wildlife. All kinds of real or imaginary animals that are player-neutral.
  • Smaller rats that run away and only fight back when cornered. Found in caves and buildings.
  • Cute bunnies that also run away. Found in the wilderness. Included in recent versions of Martigen's Monster Mod
  • Small birds (sea type, land type) which do not attack
  • Wildlife like in the medieval-europe. A "medieval-wildlife"-mod, for bow-players who want to level up by hunting instead of fighting:
    • e.g. Mufflons (American-Designers maybe never heard of that, so google it up) = "Wildsheep", which behave like the in game deer.
    • Aurochs (extinct European wild-buffalo) = like gigantic, grey African-buffalos & Wisents (forest-bison). Both to have fighting-back prey for hunter-pcs. Aur-"Chicken" ("big" wild birds with cool male sounds just different and more unknown than turkeys). So the player could hear a "smaller" animal if around, to prey.
  • More different deer.
  • Possibly quail or other wild birds that you could shoot down using arrows for hunting.I mean birds do exist right?
  • Hunting-Dogs (eg. Irish-wolf, beagle, Swedish-Deer-Dog etc.).
    • Similarily, more breeds of dogs. Why just have the generic Husky when you could have Labradors, German Shepherds, or Great Danes?
  • Things like, buffalo, elk, moose, and a bunch of whatever you can think of and give them a herd action and animation. Like there's herd of deer in Colovia and then a pack of wolves descends from a hill and picks out the weakest then you have an animation where they start ripping it to pieces or something like that, unless it would give Oblivion an AO rating.

[edit] Hostile Animals

  • Evil bunnies that attack en-masse.
  • Larger birds who hunt small bunnies
    • A sea eagle with a "take a fish out of the water"-animation, which flies in circles above the water areas. (just a graphic mod for atmosphere)
    • An animation where you see a flock of birds settle down on the water. Then one gets plucked down from below by a giant fish.
  • Water dwelling creatures like while swimming outside Anvil you get attacked by a shark or in the Niben Bay a crocodile crawls out of the water and attacks you. There should also be a quest for a Kraken to attack Anvil and you have to save the city. Additional water-based creatures will be included in Martigen's Monster Mod Final
  • Gorillas which would do massive H2H damage, and maybe po'd monkeys that would throw stuff at you that would drain fatigue.
  • Have like a stalking animation, maybe you're sneaking through the woods and you come across a clearing with a wolf in it, and on the other side there's a deer with no clue, then the wolf pounces for the kill.
  • Have snakes!

[edit] Dragons

I mean big fire-breathing winged "lizards"

  • Sounds cool, and if I may add I think they should be tamable but I think this seams like a massive and I mean MASSIVE job to create that in 3d and moving.
  • Maybe a dragon similar to the summon Akatosh mod but obtained from a quest given at the cloud ruler temple, also it should be flagged quest specific so unkillable.
  • how bout making them killable with the rarest loot possible. And making it the hardest char. in the game.
  • they could live high in the mountains and be limited in number and not respawn. And they could sometimes be visible flying through the air and only land ever so often also they could be tamable and if you kill them they could render very rare loot bones and maybe even dragon hides from which you could have armor forged.
  • There should something of a Quest where a dragon is terrorizing a town or village and that you have to slay it. There could even be different sizes of dragons. You could really do a lot with them there are many different races of dragons, so it´s not like there´s too little to work with when it comes to dragons...
  • how bout they respawn but there smallish and you can kill really big ones in caves
  • There is an Akatosh summon mod by Saiden Storm that gives you a spell to summon Akatosh, who is ridable, can fly, and can attack enemies with you.
  • how about there's a bounch of caves in the mountains and dragons live in them and the dragon's caves are filled with mounds of tresure.
  • yeah, you should have, maybe in a cave or a castle, a REALLY large dragon so that you can run up and down stairs and such and attack different parts of the dragon
  • a new quest that you really have to earn say like get 100+ fame points and you get a messanger coming for you to give you a note saying to go to some temple in the mountains and they tell you to go find a cave out of a number of other caves each containing dragons and steal a dragon egg then like you do some quests and when the egg hatches you become a part of a new guild called the dragon riders and you can fly on it and stuff like that and get maybe get armor made for it. But say like you get 100+ infame you join a diferent guild called the dragon hunters and find one of the caves and slay a dragon and you become a dragon hunter. Then both guilds have quest lines and you fight the other guild to protect or slay the dragons. But you can only join one guild

Wyverns, which are in many ways similar to Dragons, are included in recent versions of Martigen's Monster Mod

Headless knights that wander helplessly in the forests of Cyrodiil, attacking travelers and the like. They would have bloodstained armor, specifically Steel armor, with long shredded capes a shield and longsword made of bones.

  • A headless horseman mod would be cool complete with horse mounted head cutting action, and have a quest with a settlement called Sleepy Hollow.
  • you should be able to loot the dullahan too... the bone weapons and shreaded capes sound cool :}

[edit] Giants,Titans

I want Huge giants to be in certain areas and i mean HUGE ones that make you rethink approaching them. I also am all for dragons. Giants are included in recent versions of Martigen's Monster Mod

  • I also agree with the titans but i think they should be locked up in big caves(locked up by an ancient civilization like the Aylieds or even the Aldmer maybe.locked in a sleep by some kind of a powerful welkynd stone that you have to destroy to set them free and fight them.Maybe you accidentally set them free.)any way i think all these creature ideas are great and maybe if not being inserted through a mod for oblivion being used in the next elder scrolls game.
  • Maybe you could base the giants/titans on Jyggalag?
  • How about they are in the far north, in the mountains, or dep under ground, like say in the heart of Nirn (that could be their country).
  • You could also remodel trolls or ogres to make them bigger, and make them different for each region. For example, Cave Troll or Mountain Ogre, or Forest Giant. Creature varieties are included in recent versions of Martigen's Monster Mod
  • i would like to see more creatures the size of dagon.

[edit] Atronach like creatures

like the storm atronach but then huger i mean like real huge and name it Astroid Atronach and make a quest about it like Big rocks from the Sky and to be able to craft a amulet from the atronaches salts/escence that helps to recharge magicka (especialy handy if you are a atronach)

[edit] Big monsters

I don't mean just taking existing models and blowing them up in size, I mean brand new monsters with huge proportions, possibly even able to damage city walls and houses (but obviously not completely tear down due to issues with separate cells for indoors/cities). Put the occasional roaming giant into the game, or some hermit Cyclopes (think of Polyphemus in Homer's Odyssey) who is content with living alone, but will still attack, and maybe can even pick your character up with his hands?

  • I would love to see someone implement the Tarrasque from Dungeons and Dragons.

[edit] Big strong sea creatures

I would like to see more sea creatures in oblivion. Maybe sharks, or leviathan serpents/fish that are only found in deep oceans. Or at least add more sea creatures. Additional water-based creatures will be included in Martigen's Monster Mod Final

How bout a Kraken and a quest that would have you hunt it down and kill it, possibly for that one guy who wants you to kill all those Slaughterfish.

[edit] Fantasy Creatures

More fantasy creatures = harpies, two- headed-black-evil-dogs for oblivion, a centaur in a light and dark version, gargoyles who can look like a similar stone-statue and trap a PC (attack scripted by distance to PC, or delayed). Gargoyles are included in recent versions of Martigen's Monster Mod

  • Flying horse such as the mythical Pegasus would be fairly cool; otherwise, more mythical beasts like the Kraken or Medusa etc.
  • Cerberus, the three headed dog of the underworld, would be a good addition to a fort or ruin.
  • phoenix! they would carry rubies and phoenix tears and phoenix feather. they;d be hard to kill and would be non-hostile

[edit] Centurion Spheres

I thought they were the cooler looking creatures in Morrowind, and I would love to see them back in Oblivion. They might be hard to animate due to the sphere as their lower body, but I'm sure someone can figure something out.

[edit] Centaur

I thought it would be cool to have Centaur in Oblivion. You could have both hostile and non-hostile. Just like there are in Greek Mythology. Since they have Minotaur why not have Centaur as well? The Centaur that are non-hostile could have a few small communities in a certain region of Cyrodiil. Non-hostile could have a questline that you could do like, maybe fighting "bad" centaur, or something. There would be male and female Centaur. The non-hostile could barter, train, and have conversation. Now the hostile Centaur could either be organized like bandits or in single like all the other hostile creatures. Both the Hostile and Non-hostile Centuar could wear armor and use swords, axes, maces, and bows.

  • You could also have centaurs different than horses, like wolves, or deer, and for whatever respective body have a different attitude. Like a wolf would attack in groups or deer would run away.
  • maybe you can ride one if you befrend it, but you have to ask it first. it whould say somthing like: hop on friend, "i'll take where you need to go." or "i dont trust you enough"
  • maybe there can be an ingredent taken form a dead centar, like centaur hoofs or centaur hair...

[edit] Jyggalag mod or knights mod

I thought it would be nice at the end of shivering isles questline that jyggalag give you the power to summon him for 999 seconds a day and give you knights of order armor and helm with a pure order sword no matter what. maybe someone could add a tiny tiny tiny little door right near the throne that leads to testing hall so xbox 360 users dont have to use frostcrag spire
