[edit] Out The Traitor

I would like to see a quest that allows you to discover the traitor in the Dark Brotherhood BEFORE you are forced to purify the sanctuary. You can already break into the Anvil lighthouse basement and find his diary anyway, why not be able to give it to Ocheeva, who will then send you to talk to Lucien. The two of you could set up a trap to find the traitor and dispose of him. Afterwords, you could be given to option to either: 1) Remain in your current position and stay at the Cheydinhal sanctuary, finishing your assignments (and maybe adding some new ones) 2) Become Lucien's Silencer. 3) Take the traitor's place and become the new Speaker of the Black Hand. This option should open up a new Sanctuary, and make you in charge of it. Periodically, the Listener would visit you while in the Sanctuary and tell you people who have prayed to the Night Mother. You could visit them and work out a deal for the assassination, and then bring the contract back to the Sanctuary and decide who to give it to (based on that brother's/sister's abilities), or maybe do the assignment yourself. Your duties would also include recruiting new members, promoting current members, and punishing those who dare disobey The Five Tenants.

[edit] A Better Ending

You know that piece of junk armor that you get from Ocato? If you're the big hero, then why don't they build something in your honor? Why not a city? This would be a series of long, mostly dangerous quests (after all you need guards, guard captians, items, people, money, land, supplies, carpenters, shops, guild members, and all sorts of things) to get a city built for you (maybe).

  • A new Blades hall could be built there, in fact, why not all the guild halls
  • Gangs (3-4 of 'em in a 6 district area)
  • Sewers, homes, inns, big towers, a castle (with dungeon, keep, great hall, quarters (for servants), private quarters, hidden tunnels, etc.)
  • Portclifs that you can get to, gates, farms, new items (an honorblade would be nice, with matching shield and armor), more artifacts, vaults (like the ones in Frostcrag Spire, but much bigger)
  • guards that follow you
  • An Arena
  • A new guild perhaps? It could be under your control?
  • A special blade group at your command!

[NOTE] I don't know if they would make you a city bigger then the capital city of cyrodiil.

[edit] Horse Racing

I love the imperial city arena. I spent long hours there working my way up to grand champion and also enjoy the thrill of betting on one of the contestants. But recently I found myself thinking, why not bet on something else than people clubbing each other till one dies? I think it would be a cool idea to have a racetrack somewhere where you could either join with your horse as a jockey, or bet on the races. Perhaps to make the races fair instead of horses all having standard speeds depending on their colour you could level up your horses speed as you trained. The races could be your standard round the track sprints or maybe a cross-country type race where you have a trail set out for where you have to jump logs (difficult but managable) and swim across rivers. I would enjoy having another use for my horse aside from using it like a car.Thats another thing. This is a ROLE PLAYING GAME, what kind of horse can survive running flat out for days on end without food/water/sleep??

[edit] Ayleid City

Perhaps somewhere hidden in the mountains is a full Ayleid city, looking much like Mankar Camoran's place in Paradise. It starts off with the ground floor, and you have to slowly descend to the bottom, maybe to the 25th floor to defeat the ultimate boss beneath, some sort of dragon thingy, and receive some great item, like the Amulet of Yendor or something. After that the dungeon starts to collapse and you have to get out in time or you die. After this quest, maybe it is possible to rebuild a couple of floors. (Except most of the below-ground ones; they're too badly damaged.) Perhaps a merchant sells you deeds which coenside with rebuilding.

It would be cool to, and this may seem insane, double the amount of floors to 50 and make the character battle all the way down without re-supplying and have a huge reward at the end. Or a lesser reward, but have the dungeon respawn one a month(?).

[edit] Battle for the prize

I think that the world of Oblivion would be good for Highlander mod where you would be Immortal and where you need to fight versus other Immortals (20-40 at least). You could become Immortal by activating it in some place by accomplishing something or after a talk with NPC who offers you a immortality or something like that. You would need to behead another Immortal to defeat it. Enemies could be decent, but not easy, but the last fights would be very tough and it could be good that the last fight would be similar like in the movie with very tough villain. Encounters would happen when you get a message with location for your next fight or by sensing them with power of quickening and with that spell you would get a location with your next opponent on map and encounters would happen in guiet city corners where nobody walks. Encounters cannot happen while you sleep or when you are on holy ground. When you behead enemy then you would also get his quickening and with this it would mean something like experience points or something like that. The prize in the game needs to be something pretty valuable. Enemies would be different from each other and different equipment. But this quest would not include new spells because then it would not be like Highlander. This quest cannot include Watchers and other elements from tv series but only from first movie. Interesting would be also when you win more and more fights you would also get ranks like when you fight in Arena. Also in the end there cannot be other Immortal alive because in the end there can be only one and your Immortality would be taken away at the end. And with Immortality it would not mean that you are indestructible and that would be correctable that when you lose all your HP to some other enemy then you would just be decapitated.

[edit] Rainments of immense power

i think after all the trouble in Cyrodiil is over and all that crapola is done with maybe while in the Shivering Isles you meet someone. I actually mean a NPC named someone with a weird face split in two halves. He speaks to you twice in completely voices and attituides. He tells you of two guilds. One of knights full of happiness and heroism. The other would be the dark brotherhood on crack. They have strange trophies and mutilate themselves and other strange morbid behavior. The guild leaders tell you of two extremely powerful suits of armor and weapon sets with spirits of monsters, mer and men contained in them. They say that they haven't found anything powerful enough to contain the raw power. That you could go consult the library of order and find a list of materials required for the armor. Daedra bones, human hearts, daedroth teeth, maddnass ore and amber ore all mixed together. Umbra could transform like dawnfang/duskfang and fuel the armor. I'm still thinking up values up ehough for armor. I own an xbox 360 so I can't make the mod.

[edit] Imperial City Resized

The IC should be huge! It should have hundreds, if not thousands of residents. The palace should be huge, and there should be huge urban sprawls of built up residences. Someone should start a collaberative mod to make this happen.

  • The entire game would freeze because of multiple objects, you could make it bigger but you can't go too insane with it.

[edit] Jagar Tharn

A sorcerer living somewhere in the wilderness tries to summon one of The Empire's greatest threats, Jagar Tharn. This shouldn't be just one quest, but perhaps a long series of quest. Also, it should only appear after you have completed the main quest, and should be a continuation of it.

[edit] Join the Legion

A chance to join the Imperial Legion and become replace the old commander Adamus Phillida or his sucessor after he retired. Also, you should be allowed to command them.

[edit] Become a Dragon Slayer

There should be a quest where you have to kill a dragon, because the last dragon of Tamriel laid an egg before it got killed. Perhaps some of the dragons have somehow become elemental, and have been led by one huge, powerful leader. The leader could have a floating castle somewhere above Tamriel.

[edit] Divath Fyr

Divyth Fyr should move to Cyrodiil, because Morrowind is falling to pieces. Maybe he moves to the Imperial City and is poor and lost his "daughters" during the invasion. Now he is making you explore the city for ayleid thechnology to re-build yargum. After a while he might take over a large ayleid ruin and want you to permanently clear it out. Like vilverin or something. Also he might find the last living ayleid or something. that would be real fun to do quests with divath and yagum. Eventully he might die and wants you to take over for him and take over his batch of new daughters. Also you might be able to control them like a guild and tell them to take over other ruins and hire adventurers as a small private army. At the end you might find out its a Telvanni scheme and have to kill the councillor who came by to say thanks and kill you.

[edit] Easter, 1916

Fancy leading an uprising? Pick your city, have it staffed with corrupt guards. A series of mini-quests to reveal their corruption (i.e. unfair taxes, murdering of political activists) all culminating in the siege of the castle of your chosen city - the eventual quelling of the uprising, including the capture of your 'leader'. A second quest to free him perhaps?

I'm looking to create this, and being entirely without 'skillz' I'm looking to do nothing more than a little voice acting, perhaps a little bit of drafting for the actual quest. This could be an interesting satire, or indeed Oblivion quest should it pan out.

[edit] Through The Looking Glass

Just imagine you are walking around and all of a sudden you see a large white rabbit zip by you and dive in to the rabbit hole. Where does it lead? You jump in and embark on the same adventure as the book Alice in Wonderland. You know, an encounter with the mad hatter, the carpenter and walrus, and the hooka smoking caterpillar, and the queen of hearts would make an awesome mod.

  • I think this mod is called "Shivering Isles". Haskill is the name of the mad hatter. Everything there is very similar to Wonderland.
  • i realize this may be hard to do but what about a mini-oblivion gate somewhere in the wilderness that some of the foresters know how to find (some could not know and lead to the wrong place) that when entered takes you to an oblivion plane not ruled by a deadra lord, a snowy or watery one perhaps, a quest could follow to make the realm your own giving you access to a citadel there and a skill to summon the portal and the deadra within to aid you anywhere outside. the deadra could be told to follow once summoned rather that just fighting.
  • The one above is a bit like the "Dremora Companion" mod which gives you several quests. One gets you the companion and The second gives you the citadel, a full set of guards, two horses and a whole bunch of other stuff.

[edit] Labyrinth

You know the 1986 movie with david bowie labyrinth. It would be so cool to try to solve the many puzzles of the labyrinth and take down the Goblin King. Of course there would have to be encounters with hoggle and the gang and don't forget to never fall in the pit of eternal stench!

[edit] Bruma mage guild and Kvatch rebuild

The eternal fire burning interiors of Bruma mage guild and the whole Kvatch town are quite irritating. Someone could do a great job implementing a mod, rebuilding these as soon as appropriate quest stage is complete.

With the Bruma mages guild it should be quite simple, just few new NPCs and the only survivor (Khajiit) as a guildmaster. Probably some mourning portraits of deceased guild members on the wall to make it a bit more atmospheric. Or even adding an ever-flaming fountain (similar to that in the Arcane University), to the lobby of the new hall, in remembrance of the attack. The mod: Origin of the Mages Guild also restores the Bruma Guild. Those paintings are visible on the walls of the guild.

With Kvatch it should be much more difficult, but there are also some space for interesting quests (how about making a deal with some mountain ogres to supply rebuilding Kvatch with rocks, or assembling some dwemer's centurions to work). Possible set a script that says change the Kvatch cell to a fixed Kvatch cell in 100 days or something, also, one that will get rid of the fire and smoke from oblivion gates.

[edit] Minstrels

Add a little music to your adventure with a company of musicians! Perhaps there is the dialog option of "Sing for me, petty minstrel." Maybe when you kill an enemy they sing 'Brave, brave Sir Robin', altered to your own character. Likewise if you run away they sing accordingly. They might be associated with either the Champion of Cyrodiil or the Divine Crusader exclusively. And if you get tired of them, just kill them however you please. Maybe a new group respawns, and upon hiring them they ask you how the old band died.

[edit] Multiple personality quest

A quest that gives you multiple personalities and they switch at certain times, causing your stats to fluctuate. If you are getting beaten down in combat, one of your personalities would automatically step in and your strength and endurance would go up. Also be able to switch personalities at will and have voices in your head.

  • There is a Sentient Weapon mod which allows you to create a 'living' weapon that will comment on situations. There are 3 personalities- a Coward, a Psychopathic Murderer, and a Do-Gooder

[edit] Vampire quest(a little more specific)

Essentially once the person contracts vampirism. They usually are sent to Raminus Polus at the Arcane University for the Vampire Cure quest. How about another topic instead of cure, but for a ring. He says that he knows of an old Mages Guild secret(need at least 70 disposition) method that he can forge an "Ebony Ring" with a "Flawless Topaz" which he can then enchant so vampires can walk during the day no problem. at which point you agree to do it. but then he mentions he will need 20 bonemeal, 5 vampire dust, and 1 garlic. (This could be a balance problem, as it would essentially make vampirism a permanent 20 point boost to several skills, plus special abilities, at almost no cost.)

  • This is not actually a problem. Well-fed vampires can walk during the day and hide their disease just fine. Just remember to keep feeding, and turn on the auto save when waiting outside during the day. The mod, however, would be a huge balance issue, because the better vamp powers only appear after time. This mod seems kind of pointless, as the idea behind vampires is that you trade-off.
  • There are several mods at TESNexus that change the mechanics of vampirism and add vampirism quests.
  • How about making it so that people you feed off of become vampires and then you become king of some new coven faction like the DB?

[edit] Battle of Cloud Ruler Temple

am i the only one wondering why only Steffan, Baurus and Jauffre leave the temple? well i thaught of a way to give you a reason for that. before the battles of Bruma an oblivion gate is opened outside Cloud Ruler Temple. you the Blades and Martin are trapped inside the temple and you have to fight from the walls with arrows. after about a day of fighting Achille comes up with an idea of how to get some people out of there. Baurus, Steffan, Achille, Ferrum, and Arcturus charge out their with you cutting into the Daedra. once out their you fight for a scripted amount of time and then Steffan is hit with a shock spell that sends him over the wall. Arcturus tells you to give his blade to his wife and tell her he lves her then he charged into the swarm of Mythic Dawn Agents getting burnt down by a bunch of scamps. then Achille and Ferrum kill the last Daedroth in your way and push you down the path to Bruma. Achille then turns back into the fight trying to climb up a rope to the temple. Ferrum dies when he gets hit by multiple Daedra arrows. then you get attcked from behind and you're slashed to the ground down the hill. Baurus yells that he won't fail again then you two get hit by a parylyze spell and you go flying into the air. a loading screen appears and you wake up in the temple of the one with several legion soldiers and a priest around you. you tell them what happened and they mount up to save the temple. you arrive and find the siege ended and the battle just about over. the knights of the thorn attacked the horde twice ad you can see the four desecrated bodies thier heads mounted on pikes and their bodies lying on the road. Farwil and the two other knights need your help and you can rescue them. after rescueing them and killing most of the horde. mages from the mages guild arrive and summon the rest back to oblivion and close the gate. you explore the temple and find several bodies Achille lieing in a pool of blood in the East wing sitting in his favorite chair ALOT of arrows in him. Baragon is liening in the fire in the great hall his sword sticking strait up out of the ground in a dremora body. Belisarius is on the ground outside the temple. Cyrus is lieing on the ground outside the main gate covered in the bodies of Daedra. Fortis lies on the ground in the stables the dead horses around him. Roliand is lieing ontop of a trap door that leads to a tunnel in the mountains you find Jena, Catherin, Steffan, Jauffre and Martin down there along with a critically injured baurus.

  • Wow that would be one hell of a script. Some of those things aren't even possible as far as I know. For example, all those Daedra would pretty much crash any computer. Finally, like I said, everything would be too scripted. Such a heavily scripted battle would lead to trouble. Sorry, but as far as I know, we won't be seeing something like this for a while.

[edit] Repeat Vampirism

Allow people to become vampires again after completing the cure for vampirism quest. Then they can get more potions?

[edit] Extended Arena Storyline

After becoming Grand Champion of the arena have AI challengers, or a quest were a guy cheats (maybe by getting you drunk?) and challenges you to a match (you lose but for some reason you don't die, maybe he spares you to put you to shame?) wrongly stripping you of your title, and people start making fun of you and you have to win back your title because you have no evidence he cheated. Or, the blue team gladiator in the blood works could start slowly advancing in rank after you become Grand Champion, and when he became a Champion, he would challenge you in order to avenge the Gray Prince.

  • then the adoring fan whould ditch you until becme grand champion again...
  • Actually, perhaps a mod could include even grander challenges. Perhaps you have a chance to fight an avatar of each of the Divines or the Daedra Lords. Perhaps they could include enemies from other games; maybe you can fight the spirits of your old Morrowind rivals. They could even include a mod which allows multiplayer fights in the Arena; you wouldn't be able to access your inventory, poisons would be automatic, you wouldn't get the message 'you can't drink anymore potions', and so you have to make the most of your hotkeys. In addition to that, they could make it so you can only take one of each item of your own into the Arena, or have it so you can buy items from a special shop, as to avoid cheating.
  • Oh, and if this has already been suggested, just delete it without making a fuss about it.--Draenoch 01:39, 16 July 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Daedric Churches for Evil Characters

There should be (wilderness-based, like the shrines) Daedric churches for characters with higher infamy then fame. There would be wayshrines for all the daedric lords, and if the character is more famous than infamous, they should not be able to get any effects. It seems unfair that you have to play as a good character to be able to have fun with the churches. Maybe even make it so in order to pray, you have to "join" one of the church factions, after which you cannot pray at the other unless you sever your relationship (have a higher fame then infamy or vice versa for 10 days, then pray at an altar, asked if you wish to repent (sent on quest) or serve (negative affects, lose all wayshrine bonuses so you need to find the wayshrines again if you come back).

  • Fame isn't really an opposite of infamy. Becoming the champion of the arena isn't the opposite of infamy is it? Also with Kot9 it would be hard to restore your infamy.
  • See the Vile Lair plugin. Shrine of Sithis is what you're looking for. Sortof.
  • It wouldn't make sense Lore-wise...if thats not important to you though, I think its a good idea.
  • I don't see the sense in it.

[edit] Arch-Mage Responsibilities

You should be able to teach apprentices, or send battlemages to Bruma or other besieged cities to help, you should be able to set the guilds policy toward necromancers and toward the oblivion gates (when you become archmage you can choose to out root necromancy, or to make defending cyrodiil from the deadra a priority)Note:Mannimarco has already been destroyed meaning necromancers are no threat.

[edit] More Quests For Cool Homes

A downloadable content quest where you can obtain a Warrior's Home (for the fighters guild master), an Arena Champion's Home (maybe with your own mini arena where you can fight creatures/prisoners?), and the most coolest and best and biggest of all... the Champion of Cyrodiil's Home (many display boxes and really cool stuff, also bigger than Frostcrag Spire!!!)

  • Bethesda has already created homes such as Frostcrag Spire (Magician/Arch Mage), Deepscorn (Assassin/DB Listener), and Dunbarrow Cove (for the thief type/Gray Fox), so I hope they will continue to make more awesome homes.
  • Dragon Castle is a mod providing a home for the Champion of Cyrodiil.
  • oblivionrealestate.com has tons of houses to download, tents that you can pitch up anywhere, and my favorite, a house on top of white gold tower

Maybe in your Champion of Cyrondiil's Home you can have head mounts of every monster in the game, so (say in your trophy room) there would be planks with the head of the monster, then the ones that don't have heads you can see what that plaque is missing so you can go hunt down that monster, then say you'll get a note from some guy that says "I see you have killed every monster in Cyrodiil, I would like you to meet me at (some tavern), where we could discuss something in private." Then you go there and he asks you to go hunt a mythical monster, perhaps a hydra, then that could be the center piece of your Trophy room.

[edit] Larger Imperial City House

I use my Imperial City House the most often, however 1.I hate that it’s on the Waterfront 2.It so small. Have one that is in Talos Plaza that is 3 stories, not including the basement. Have the first story like a kitchen/living room/hallway, 2nd floor have altars for enchanting and spellmaking, book places, maybe a thing similar to the altar in the dark fissure, 3rd floor is simply a bedroom with a balcony that looks over the city and wilderness. Include a little dragon statue which gives you the 'Blessing of Akatosh'. Basement is the armory where random armor and weapons appear daily, as well as access to the sewers. That along with an invincible character who fights when attacked. You'd be saint if you made this.

  • Agreed. Talos sounds like the perfect place. A few "wilderness houses" would be nice too. Talos would be the nicest (yes, even nicer then Skingrad) house in the game, and cost 30,000 gold. In addition, it would be a fun thing to spend money on.
  • In addition, I'd like to see mods with very nice, very expensive houses implemented. When your character gets to a certain point, there's almost nothing left to buy. It would be good to see very big houses (costing 100K at least) that are worth the trouble to save up.
  • One word, Estate, how about buying a massive estate somewhere in the wilderness for about 100k or so and as a result govern a village surrounding it, you could encourage villagers to work the fields or produce items, giving you money or loot respectively, hire a town guard to protect it from goblin and bandit raids or even establish itself as a small city with a similar system to the emperor mod.

[edit] Become Emperor/Empress

Only unlockable after you complete the Main Quest. For saving the world, instead of champion you should have the choice to become Emperor (or Empress, depending on your character's gender), although it would obviously have to come with a price like having to make decisions for the other provinces (so it wouldn't affect your game much) once a week. It would be cool to be able to command armies and such. And maybe a crisis would pop up (like somehow Dagon comes back from Oblivion).

  • After all, every one, including the Blades are waiting for a new dragon born, which doesn't have to be a Septim. This has been proved since there was once a dynasty of Tsaecri Emperors until the Dark Brotherhood annihilated the whole family.
  • Perhaps there is a 'tax chest', containing several thousand septims. Maybe there are special merchants from which you can buy 'city credits' every day. A certain benchmark is 'breaking even', while less than that causes the cities to fall into disrepair (eg. houses appear damaged, merchants are poorer, guard numbers drop, beggars increase in numbers, and bandits spawn inside the cities), while spending more money improves the province (eg. guard numbers increase, cities are more polished-looking, merchants have more gold, and beggars stop asking for coins). However, this could also have some negative effects (eg. the probability of marauder and bandit raids increase, crime may increase, and the ranks of the Thieves Guild may swell).
  • Maybe you could plot to overthrow Ocato and the Elder Council. Maybe you could kill them all or convince them to crown you Emperor. After that you could also make new laws, build and rebuild stuff, make Dark Brotherhood legal like the Morag Tong, remove the bounty from the Gray Fox, make Daedra worship and necromancy legal, send the Legion to battle marauders and take over the forts, and even provide funding for certain guilds.
  • Also, there could be plots against you. There could be conspirators among the nobility, priesthood, peasants, citizens, Shivering Isles' residents (they are crazy, remember), your guild colleges, even your own guards! There could even be Mythic Dawn "sleeper agents" among the ranks of the Elder Council!
  • Your decisions could also affect your popularity among the people. For example, they could rebel against you. Likewise, if you made good decisions for the Empire, everybody would love you, and you may even become the central focus of some sort of romance (depending on your character's gender).

[edit] Corprus

I think that Corprus disease should be re-implemented into Oblivion. It’s sickeningly unrealistic to have the disease only exist in one province. What if some Corprus-infected person traveled to Cyrodiil and spread the disease? It would make a very interesting side quest.

  • Corprus was eliminated by the Nerevarine when Dagoth Ur was killed since it was a Vvardenfel Blight.
  • The Neverarine stopped the blight storms creating the Corprus disease, but the disease still remains on those who were infected by it.
  • You could ask that Corprus-infected person to be infected with the disease and turn yourself into a leveled Corprus monster at will, which would totally rock! (Level 1-6: Corprus Stalker; Level 7-13: Lame Corprus; Level 14-17: Corprus Dragon; Level 18+: Greater Corprus Dragon.) Or, you could find Dagoth Ur (who could somehow return from his destruction in TES 3) and truly eradicate all forms of Corprus Disease from the world.

[edit] ESP NPC

Say you walk into a tavern, and there sits a psychic. You talk to them, and a quest is triggered in which you must prevent some predicted event from happening or some other psychic hoodoo.

[edit] Flight

I was thinking that maybe there could be a quest, and after which you would be able to fly. For example, the quest could center around a mage who is trying to perfect levitation, or perhaps an inventor who needs help building an airplane.

  • Imperial Air Ships (Basically Zeppelins) have already appeared in both Redguard and Shadowkey. (And yes, i would love someone to do a mesh of one for Oblivion.)
  • Of course, you would have to make it to where it said something along the lines of "You can't land in a city! You might hit a building!" So there's no glitches. (i.e. You have to land outside of a city)
  • There is a Flying Pegasus Mod that lets you ride a flying horse (Pegasus). Best used with Open Cities.

[edit] Rat Attack

Rats attack a house en masse (hundreds). They spawn eternally and the only way of killing them is to slowly push them back to the sewers and then to their source - a strange creature with some kind of backstory, you can talk with it and put an end to this peacefully or simply kill it.

Yeah... It could start with cooking that cheese at borderwatch "cooking it would lure out rats from miles away" (or what does she say?)

[edit] Sithis

You're the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood. You've killed many, and even met the Night Mother. Now it's time to meet Sithis! In order to do so, Sithis tells you he's going to test your worthiness first. He will send 3 different Wraiths at random times and days while you're sleeping. These three wraiths will put you through three tests, "The Test of Will, The Test of Strength, and The Test of Doom". He tells you to kill each of them. To kill The Test of Will, you must use only Destruction and Illusion (Paralyze) magic. The Test of Strength, you must kill in 4 minutes, but he has 80 defense, 50 strength, and 10000 health. The Test of Doom can kill you in one hit if he gets a hit in. Luckily, he isn't hostile. You must follow him to various points of Cyrodiil and kill anyone that he flies through. The people he flies through are not vital to quests, and are pre-determined. However, he doesn't fly through them in the same order. The wraith has the same amount of speed as you do, so you should be able to keep up with him. After passing each of the trials, you are granted access to see Sithis. He is located on a small island south of Bogwater (as in a really small island). You swim to the island and find a manhole with Sithis' hand print on it. You go inside and enter a chapel-like room, and at the very end is the monstrous form that is Sithis. From then on, you can perform special tasks from Sithis himself!

  • Note, that Sithis is not a Divine being. He is no Aedra, nor Daedra. All texts and rumors about Sithis states him, or it, as the Void itself, Darkness, the Abyss an so forth. And if that's true, I think it'd be hard to talk with Nothing.
  • I think that there should be a big open blank space that you go into, and Sithis speaks to you, but then a black smoke materialises in front of you and instead of some night lord guy, it's you wearing some powerful dark armor. - james
  • The test of strength is a bit impossible and I think instead of someone standing there, it is like Arkved's retreat. Then a shadow form of your self appears and speaks to you through a "dream state", like what you see when you dream as a vampire.
  • I think there should just be a guy wearing a black hood and cloak so you cant see his face
  • I think to meet Sithis, once you become Listener and reach a certain level in the game, when you go to listen to the Night Mother she'll be like "I've got some news for you, come to my statue at midnight and talk to me again, we need to talk in person." She then talks about how Sithis has noticed your power and wishes to meet you in person. She then creates a portal which takes you to a piece of land within the void. You appear in a pool of blood and speak to Sithis. He talks to you and tells you this is where all dark brotherhood members come at death as well as their victims. He also teaches you a spell to return to the void whenever you please and explains that he has only taught this to the most powerful of his followers. Thered be a few parts such as Sithis' Lair, Hall of Listeners, Torture Chamber, where you can see some of Sithis' worst enemies like Adamus Phillida who you can torture as well, And the Listener's Quarters, A place where only the current listener that has reached the void can live, and a place where you can hunt down some of your previous victims, and a few other places. From here you'll start taking out Sithis' enemies as well as the hardest of DB Contracts.

[edit] Death option

When you complete the Dark Brotherhood questline, you can have the Night Mother (24h after reaching the highest rank in the guild) promote you to Death itself. You can toggle yourself to be like a Grim Reaper and usable scythe and you get a couple of Greater Powers, including Death's Touch (instantly kills an opponent on touch), and make the animation of the hand to look like you are using Turn Undead on Touch. Your hood when equipped makes your head at the top look small and hides your face in a black cloud of smoke. When you unequip the hood you’re a skeleton. Other powers:

  • Death's Silence. silence for 30 sec 5 magicka
  • Death's Stalking. Invisible 120 sec 5 magicka.
  • Memories of Nightmare. Demoralize lvl50 for 30 sec 5 magicka.
  • Soul Harvest. Soul Trap in 100ft, Damage Health 500 in 100ft, for 30 seconds (Greater Power). (Bypasses Magic Resistances)
  • Half-Life. Paralyze, Silence, Drain Health <# set to half target's health?> for 60 sec (Greater Power). (Bypasses Magic Resistances)
  • Judgment Day. 500 damage in 300ft for 30 sec (Greater Power). (Bypasses Magic Resistances)

I personally would like to see the 'Four Horsemen' somewhere in the game. Death, Plague/Pestilence, War and Famine. Could be interesting.

  • That Judgment Day power would almost certainly get you arrested if you used it anywhere in a city. And it's pretty damn overpowered.
  • To the Four Horseman idea... there is a mod called Castle Of Night which gives you the four horsemen as black horses.
  • Actually, a four horseman idea would be very interesting. Perhaps riding a different horse has different effects: Riding Famine causes all food in the area (even in people's pockets) to disappear, maybe in flames, riding Pestilence causes random diseases to hit everyone in the vicinity, riding War has a universal Frenzy effect, and riding Death, well, I think it's pretty obvious. Perhaps there could even be a Greater Power called 'Renewal', which undoes everything caused by the previous effects. (including deaths during 'War' and those caused by the Greater Powers)

[edit] Your Past

Am I the only one who is wondering WHY THE HELL WAS YOUR CHARACTER IN PRISON?!?!?! I think there should be a quest where you go to the Arcane university to see a famous oracle who has been fabled throughout Cyrodiil to see the past, present and future in anyone. Your character should see the oracle and learn of his past. It should be something devastating. Like you were once a member of the Mythic Dawn and actually arranged the assassination of Uriel Septim's sons and then were sent to that cell to assist in the assassination of the emporer himself, but that bastard prisoner in the cell across from you somehow erased your memory. You should then have the choice to continue your evil past or go and right your wrongs and eventually find forgiveness from your birth family. Who are they? Well if this mod comes to pass, its up to the game designers to either give you to the Septim bloodline, mere townsfolk, or maybe even Vincent Valtiere.

  • It's worth mentioning that Bethesda made the game so that you can ROLE PLAY and hence make up your own past.
    • There are a few mods that start you outside of the dungeon or at the end of it. What I would like to see is a mod where you start in one of the homes, and after 1 day you are arrested, for reasons untold, and end up in the dungeon. Maybe later you find out that you were mistaken for some other criminal and hunt him down.
      • what about as you wander in the woods of Cyrodiil you found a abbonded house or village and suddenly gets a flasback and recognise the village or house as the place you grow up on? it could be god start to cleaning up your past or become evil again or maybe just walk away and think that you just where dreaming or something. Also you maybe should be able to track down your parents, but that would be a bit odd if you where let's say kahjiit or argonian had a high elf or a imperial as parents. Well this where just another suggestion.
  • What's the point of the Oracle telling you the present if the present is happening right now?
  • It tells you about what else is happening in the present. e.g. "The Count of Skingrad is a Skooma Addict" or something like that

[edit] Become the Tenth

After all you’ve done for Cyrodiil, after all the battles you fought, after all the friends you lost, and after all the times you fought in the name of the Nine you’d think there would be a greater reward than what you got. There should be a quest where Merunes Dagon actually comes back like Umaril did in the Knights of the Nine mod, and you are the only one who can stop the evil lord and his Deadric god and goddess brethren. After that the Nine divines should come to you and immortalize you by making you the Tenth Divine. There should be a whole town, church, and shrines in your name. You could have loyal mortal worshippers who you can cater to. There could also be a mod like "the Spirit Realm" where you can go to your royal throne and visit your friends who have died like Jauffre, Martin, or even Uriel Septim. Now there’s a Reward!

  • This is an idea that I would enjoy, but irony would be there. With the Shivering Isles expansion, you'd be the Daedric Lord of Madness as well as the 10th Divine. Although being a Divine sounds like quite a bit of fun, you should only be able to choose one (Daedric Lord or Divine) if this mod is to be made. And if you would choose the Divine, the prize for the Shivering Isles would be useless, really. And what would the extra powers be if you became a Divine, anyway? Would you gain a special weapon? Suit of armour? Making this mod would take a lot of work.
    • Aedra do not interfere in the material world.
    • It may be worth mentioning that, although your hero saved Tamriel, the hero of Arena saved Uriel Septim's life, but never became a divine. I think that being the Madgod would be enough, although maybe you can get a better reward for that too.
      • I think you should be able to become the tenth divine and about the Shivering Isles expansion instead of becoming the Daedric Lord of Madness you should become the tenth divine if you wish and as a bonus you get a very special set of armour and weapons plus the ability to create soul gems (ones that can hold several souls at once anyone?)
  • The real problem comes from naming the character. With the Champion becoming Sheogorath, a Daedric name is already in place, but with the creation of an Aedra, the developers would have to edit what's a largely free-form roleplaying game and rob the players of some of their originality.

I think it should be more quests in the knights of the nine and after you were finished they started building a big city. have you seen the area were the priory of the is placed?I,ts nothing there. That place could be used by putting a new town there, with you as the count, the knights of the nine as your bodyguards, and a lot of citizens from the near border or something.

[edit] Peryite and Boethiah Oblivion Realm Overhaul

Mainly because the in-game fluff on Daedra realms, as well as the release of the Shivering Isles expansion, it has bothered me that Peryite and Boethiah's realms of Oblivion are exactly the same as Mehrunes Dagon's realm of Oblivion. Boethiah isn't that bad, because he is the lord of overthrowing authority and all that. However, Peryite, either the Daedra lord of plagues or of, from what we hear of his followers, balance, which does not fit the volcanic realm.

  • I think that Peryite's realm should be simply more tidy (digital-ish, with a fixed height for the ground over the lava, probably with markers "Lava ahead", "Bridge at the left" etc.) and with a filthy green murk in the air. Boethiah's realm is indeed completely contradictory with lore: see Lore:Planes of Oblivion, his realm is described as "Attribution’s Share is the Plane of Boethiah. Previously known as Snake Mount, this realm is characterized by twisted towers and immense maze gardens. The realm is ruled by laws of labyrinthine policy and betrayals are a matter of course.".

[edit] Adoring Fan Storyline

Not only is he annoying, but when you think about it AF is quite boring. He doesn’t even have a name! Someone needs to give our poor blond friend a back-story, or maybe even a quest involving him.

  • Or at least give him a real name.
    • Or have a quest where he is kidnapped and everyone tells you to rescue him (even if you hate him so much you like to throw him of dive rock all the time). When you rescue him, he then hates you for taking so long, even if it was only an hour until he was rescued. But he still follows you around. One day, he tries to kill you and you kill him and everyone praises you because he is dead. That would be an interesting quest. And people who hate him him and (as I said above) love to knock him off cliffs, then you can kill him on Dive Rock and throw his body off the edge. Note: A more interesting (and perhaps satisfying to people who hate him) version is to have people telling you that he is terrorizing the countryside, and that his base is at Dive Rock. The showdown would consist of who gets thrown off the edge.

[edit] Job Centre

Somewhere in the Imperial City there needs to be standardized place where adventurers can go to get work. It will be like a notice board perhaps where various missions are posted. Modders could then use this as a start point for their own missions.

  • An excellent idea, it could be for all those miscellaneous quests like the gang in Anvil or killing the slaughterfish for the farmer, but the problem that you would run into is that there just aren't enough of these quests

[edit] The Ability to Become a Lich

Really, the vampire abilities/skills is a compromise of fighter, mage and thief, something pure mage would be fantastic! (+30int +30will -60pers -20str -20spd +20end -20agi for example)

[edit] Alcoholics Anonymous

There should be some sort of skooma-addict recovery program. Maybe it could be a quest to help someone found an organization or help an addict in need. Maybe you could go in for sessions yourself!

  • The Skooma Addiction! mod already adds Skooma as a fully, and highly, addictive substance. The addiction can only be broken over time, during which withdrawal becomes increasingly worse. This could be expanded on to include two factions - an Addicts faction and an employee faction, the latter of which would involve actual quests. I don't know about the employee one, but I could probably make something for the addict one uing Skooma Addiction! as a basis.
  • Someone should also make a mod for alcoholics. Would be great for my Nord character, as he is a heavy drinker.

[edit] Creature Wars

Have some questline where city guards notice large camps on the outskirts, or an increase in ambushes on a road, they send you to see what the problem is and you find armies of creatures. Example: In Anvil you hear a rumor that there have been attacks on the Gold Road, you are contacted by a guard who tells you to meet the countess. You do so and she tells you to investigate, you go to where some camp was sighted and realize that goblins and other creatures are plannig an invasion. You then go through a questline where you have to beat back the invasion. This could also be done with any town, and any creature type. Undead in Bruma, humanoids in Cheydinhal, Goblins in Chorrol.

[edit] Massive Wars

Maybe someone can make a mod where a bunch of daedra (I'm talking thousands) shows up at leyawiin and they try to take over all of cyrodiil by taking over each city one by one. It would be so cool if there was a big stand and you could send messages to commanders and you could be a general and hold them back. I was thinking maybe a last stand would be cloud ruler temple. In order to make this mod fun maybe you could make it so the war lasts 5 real hours and make it so that if someone stabs me with a sword, I am wounded and start bleeding. Same for them. When I say wounded I mean that if I mean that if I take my sword and I do a power attack to someone, they should stagger back and bleed very bad. I want to make it so that one or two hits kill you depending on where it hits you. There should also be resources like iron to make weapons so that mines actually are useful.

  • Having thousands of NPCs on your screen at once will only slow down your computer, so if anyone were to do this, the attack would have to be in waves of 10s and 20s.
  • They could do that for XBOX 360 and have it for purchase on XBOX marketplace. I like the idea....Except there should be a faction. As in, you would go to the Imperial City and sign up for the war, then you could get different ranks, such as Cavalry, Sentinel, General, Commander (not particularly in that order). Good idea, but the part where they/you bleed wherever they/you get hit may be a bad idea. Say you get hit in your sword arm. Whatcha gonna do then? Good idea though.
  • So, you fight against a Xivilai. It gets 1 hit in on you. You fight another one. You die. Also what if you needed to use stuff in captured cities. Or maybe The Odiil father stops the invasion at Choroll as a quest character. I would need a hell of a lot of work but nice idea.
  • They've done this for Morrowind already with the Siege of Ynys Mon mod. Even with a decent PC the FPS hit is pretty bad, but it was still playable. This could be done right for Oblivion by crafty modder. Waves would be a must as the other fellow suggested; that's how the Ynys Mon mod did it in Morrowind. If someone does decide to mod this, make sure you take at least a cursory look at the Ynys Mon mod. It was done wonderfully and it was the most fun I had playing Morrowind, ever.
  • What about this? When you sign up for war, you start as a footsoldier. You then go off with your squad on patrols. At the 3rd patrol you're attacked by a squad of Daedra. Your commander is killed and you become an officer. You can then specify what kind of soldier you want to be from then on as you advance in rank, knight or mage or archer. By the time you reach General, you no longer fight (this could solve the FPS problem) you stand on the top of a hill, with the Dremora General on the hill opposite you. You can then prepare your army for a huge battle, like sending the cavalry forward and hiding archers in the trees. When the battle starts you issue commands like "Battlemages fireblast that area" or "Archers, Loose"" or "Knights, Charge!" Near the end of the battle (if you are winning) the Dremora general rides out and you have to kill him in one on one combat. When hes dead, his army breaks and runs. There could also be forts to defend, with battering rams attacking you. Spider daedra assassins who try to kill you when you sleep. Protect the convoy missions. Or early in the quests "An army is on the march, bring these orders to the officers before its too late" You could also choose to build traps on the battle field, pitfall traps, spikes and catapults. The Daedra army would have those mines, rolling stones down hills and giant claws coming out of the ground to trap people. Second last mission could be you on top of white gold tower with loads of mages and archers trying to fight off an attack from dragon-like creatures ridden by dremora. It could all be a part of the main quest if you want.

this would definetly be great but hows about this you can have your followers go to war like you go to leyawin and see an oblivion gate down the river. you brace for impact as the count runs to bravil you take charge of the guard and defend the gate with like twenty guards and citizens fighting with you and have a bunch of guys on the walls shooting arrows down at the enemies which nstart as small raids of scamps and runts then they slowly get bigger like in the defense of Bruma. then you haven to fall back when most of the citizens are dead. the same thing happens at each city and then you defend bruma and fall back with fifty of your handpicked people like the Knights of the nine, Pinarus Iventius, a murrderer, and a couple guards and you make a stand behind the walls of cloud ruler temple ending with a fight inbetween tou and Dagon's sun him in all daedric armor and it turns out that he was your brother after you kill him.

[edit] Skyrim-Cyrodiil War

I think that Skyrim should invade Bruma, causing a civil war between Cyrodiil and Skyrim. You could choose to help either side. If Skyrim won, Bruma would become a Nord town that looks like the skaal village from Bloodmoon. The chapel would be replaced with a mead hall. If the Empire won, Bruma would be how it was before, but with the mages guild rebuilt.

[edit] More NPC Wars

I think there should have been more large fights among NPCs in dungeons, forts, caves, and even cities. Adding such NPCs such as small gangs of thieves in cities to have random fights with guards, for example, or random legions of archers that can attack the small settlements, and would make the game much more fun and immersive.

  • That idea reminds me of Mercenaries how they had soilders fighting in a faction just start shooting at each other and you could join in the fight if you wanted too. That would be cool Oblivion it would also be cool for factions to start fighting each other based on your players actions(not just quest but like killing an npc in one faction while your in the opossing faction creates a war between the two) there will diffidently be more factions for this.
  • I've seen Random NPCs attack eachother on the 360 Port. Especially in Bravil.
  • Fort Nikel west of the Imperial City is a Marauder and bandit fort. They go to war as soon as you enter.

[edit] The Great War of Tamriel

I believe that there should be a mod that created some sort of a giant world war that involved all of Tamriel itself. The forces of evil, led by the newly resurrected Mehrunes Dagon and his fellow Daedric princes, like the Dark Brotherhood, the Daedra, Dark Elves, Vampires and any others join together against the armies of Tamriel that stand for good. Because of your services to the empire and any other faction that you spent time on that were for good, you are promoted to a high-ranking army position in service to the empire like Captian of the Guard to the Imperial service or something. However, because of your service to the forces to evil like the Dark Brotherhood, you are also given a high-ranking position in the high army to the evil forces. Now the choices you make determine key turning points in the Great War and the side with which you stand eventually determines whether you die in service or are made a holy diety in which ever side you chose. Will you become imperial ruler of all Tamriel or will you walk the path of evil and become an unholy god of the dark forces. Fight in large battles on the great planes of Cyrodiil or the dark wasteland that is the planes of Oblivion. The power to end it all lies in your hands. You alone will determine if the empire will rise against those who threaten it and live on till the end of time, or if the darkness that threatens all Tamriel will destroy all the history that was legendary Tamriel and change it to a barren wasteland that they all have dreamed of. And now as i write this i realize that if you people agree with me on this the only way to do it would be to create an entirely new game.

  • The Daedric princes don't really get well along (sometimes even not at all). And they're not all evil - only Dagon, Boethiah, Molag Bal, Mephala and perhaps Vaernima are what could be called "evil". Also, the Dark Brotherhood serves Sithis, not the Daedra. The Dark Elves are mostly Daedra worshipers, so they may get with the Daedra princes. And Vampires fend for themselves.
  • How about the evil guy Padomay gets all the daedra and pretty much every single bad guy in the game to take over all of Nirn (I'm sure if he showed up they'd get along.) You and the good forces of Nirn join together to stop him or fight for Padomay & make the world dark. Padomay would return to Nirn to make creation suffer because Nirn didn't love him. This battle wouldn't only take place in Cyrodiil, but all over Nirn, like in Akavir and other places & there would be a navy too like in the Ocean Mod. I agree this would require another game though.
  • If Padomy comes back, then so must Anu, all the mortal things (such as Dark Elves, if there are any left the Dwemer, possibly the Nine, and all other races) would rally to him, maybe vampires, and all the evil things (but Sithis, the Dark Brotherhood, necromancers, conjurers, and all the daedra lords, why them? they are lords of power, not solidures) will serve Padomy.
  • A "Great War of Tamriel" would rather be between the various provinces separated from the Empire after Martin's death.
  • I'd like some sort of war, with no dragon-born emperor to rule, provinces are bound to rebel. After the story's completed everyone just go on with their lives like nothing happened, or is gonna happen. Cyrodill should be preparing for hard times. You, the champion of cyrodill should help prepare. We should be able to do stuff like...
    • Restore some of the old fort ruins. I mean theres all these ruined forts that should be restored. The only defense we have is the legion and cities. What you'd have to do is take a group of legion soldiers that request from Ocato and lead them to like fort magia or something. Once its completely cleared, the soldiers will bring workers and such and in about a few weeks the fort shall be restored.
    • Recruitment- There doesnt seem to be a whole lot of soldiers around cyrodill, there all in far of lands, We need more troops in case if we got attacked.
    • Arms preparation- It'd be similar to fort restoral, youd take some mines to get materials for new weapons, more mines, better equipped men.
    • Building Border Fortresses- We dont have much fortresses on the border that could alarm people of a coming army! Without them we could be attacked without warning.

Stuff like this should happen.

[edit] Wars

These are all good ideas but there are a few problems like if an important NPC dies so u cant finish a quest or something so i suggest that what happens is that the character gets caught in an time portal created by evil deadra worshipers trying to stop the death of Mehurnes Dagon and the character gets sent back in time to when one of the many wars was going on so many things can happen.

[edit] Lead a dark army

I've done almost every thing possible in the game; it's still fun, but a little boring at times. My characters maxed out, I can slaughter anyone or anything, so I just think it would be cool if in the story your character turns evil, gathers up an army and tries to conquer Cyrodiil. Now I thought about would you play as your character or a new fighter on the side of good trying to stop him. I think that you should have the option of both, also the further you progress the more ravaged the lands become, and if your on the side of good you should have a feeling of utter hopelessness as you figtht 30 or 50 men with only 10 lol, but seriously, it would be cool I would list even higher numbers, but, you know, the game can only go so far without being super slow. Also if your on the side of good, if you win you can rebuild the parts that were destroyed. Now I say 'if you win', because wouldn't it be cool to have less scripted gameplay, like you get captured or even killed, and you get a new character and start from where the old one left off (you wouldn't have to do that, just start from your last save); and if you choose to stay with your old character, if you win you take the white gold tower and make every thing have a really dark and evil look - I would say daedra look, but it should be a bit different from that. This probably would never be possible, but this could ever happen. I would be amazed and plus my interest in this game would renew.

[edit] Warzone

What about an entire area which you are transported to after signing up to the imperial legion and choosing a specific option, you could even choose a specific regement eg the calvary in which you attack with you squad on armoured imperial horses, a mod to attack while on a horse would be helpful here, or the archers where you are dipached to ambuch lone enemy garrisons. After a while in service you could be promoted to captain of your squad, general controlling the regement you signed up for and eventually commander or a more elaborate title such as chief war marshal or something in that area overseeing the entire battle in a total war style strategy minigame from the main camp. At higher ranks the option to lead your soldiers into battle could remain but is not nessesary.

• For this idea, once you join the Imperial Legion, maybe once a week you go to this mage and you tell the mage to "Teleport me to the front." and when you do this the mage will send you to one of maybe 50 warzones and they all have different terrain. There'd be different settings like taking a fortress in a small gorge in skyrim, raiding a camp in hammerfell, or defending a fort in morrowind. It'd differ almost every time you enter the warzone. And you can't leave till you've taken control. Then you tell the officer in charge to "Begin the raid." and you'd have to prevent the enemy from defeating all of the legionnaires or defeat their commanding officer

[edit] Wizard Wars

Ten strong wizards rise and build giant towers summoning armys of deadra to fight one another. your person is the eleventh wizard. Summon armys at your command and send them to fight the other wizards armys. capture the other wizards to either make the world safe again or use them to make your armys larger then attack a weak empire and build your own.

[edit] Religion Wars

We had the Knights of the Nine why not add a new set of warriors for other gods. This new group would be called Champions of the Daedra Lords, their goal is to destroy the the Nine Divines and make the Daedra Lords the ultimate gods. Then at some point the Knights of the Nine (there would be followers of the Nine fighting for them) go to war with the Daedra Champions (there would be armies of Daedra followers for them) and you can either remain and help the Knights of the Nine destroy all the Daedra once and for all, or you can convert and help the Daedra destroy the Nine Divines and gain control of your own army of followers from your choice of Daedra lord and help get rid of the Divines. This idea can even be combined with The Shivering Isles by letting you (the mad god) chose your own champion and send him to do what you want done in this war with your golden saints and dark seducers. I think this is a good idea because sometimes i have trouble trying to determine (in game) which set of gods are real or fake, because, where the Daedra gods actually talk to you and give you items, the Divines don't do anything, they don't talk to you and their items are just enchanted items. Sure they have altars but those could just be enchanted, so this war could determine which set of gods is real or fake by one side destroying the other to become the only gods.

  • For this I'd call the daedric side the Daedric Onslaught. It'd start out by attacking Leyawiin after you have restored the Knights of The Nine and you have reached maybe level 25. It starts out with you helping the Leyawiin Guard defend Leyawiin. Once the Onslaught has been defeated there, the count tells you they call themselves the Daedric Onslaught, and plan to take control all of Tamriel in name of their Daedra Lords. You deliver this info to Sir Thedret, your second in command. He tells you your next action should be to recruit. What you do for this you should go to each city and tell the Count/Countesses about your cause and they gather the people. You can also gather people from the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Knights Of The Thorn, Imperial Legion (once you've reached champion of Cyrodiil.) and other factions. Once you've gotten all the forces you need talk to Thedret again and you'd lead the Crusade of The Nine. Camps would be set around the Priory and the forces will defend cities, retake ground, and defeat the Onslaught.

[edit] Daedric War

What if after having snatched victory from the Jaws of Mehrunes Dagon, when you take on the Role of Sheogorath in the Shivering isles, Mehrunes Dagon decides he wants revenge. He forms an alliance with other Daedric lords who are revolted at the idea of a mortal joining their ranks and seek to dethrone the new god of madness. The player would then join forces with maybe Azura, Meridia, Jyggalag (who is in the player's debt for freeing him from the cycle), and a few others.

[edit] Oak and Crosier

Why not put something shady (and a quest to go with it) in The Oak and Crosier. Ideas include:

  • Skooma dealers
  • DB sanctuary
  • Mythic Dawn shrine
  • Daedric shrine
  • Vampire den
  • Necromancer hideout

[edit] Necrids Orb Quest

a Gate to oblivion comes out near the Valus mountains, but no Dark U shaped things, and instead of Red Sucking in, Green pusing out (if you look at an oblivion gate, there are little 'strands'[for lack of a better word] going into it, instead green 'Strands' pouring out) and on the ground infront of it is Necrid (Or make up a name, but basd on the character necrid [green version] from soul calibur). wearing His normal aparel he assigns you a quest, to help repair his Orb. He tells you first to bring him magical items (Journal entry sugusts Welkynd stones varla stones or soul gems) bring back one of each and he tells you he needs
20 welkynd stones
5 Varla stones
and a total of 8,000 Soul Charge points (Please rephrase that for me~ the charge of a soul IE: Grand 1600 Greater 1200 ect.) after you do so, he attacks an incoming bear, but his orb doesn't change. he ends up Hand to hand killing the bear and when you talk to him again he asks you to bring him one of every kind of weapon (Dagger, Mace, shortsword, war axe, Longsword, war hammer, battle axe, and claymore) of a level dependant kind (the level you loot them at. Iron 1 Steel 2 silver 4 dwarven 6 elven 9 glass 12 ebony 16 daedric 20) after doing so, a human character (Imperial Breton Nord Ect. NOT Kajjit Ork Dunnmer Altemer Bosmer ect. Argonian) Necrid kills it, then another comes, necrid kills it too, then another, and the final one kills necrid. it takes his orb (at this time named <See Weapon ideas>) and attacks you. you kill it, and get the orb. next time you sleep, necrid's ghost (wraith, apx. 135% normal size) comes to you when you wake up. he tells you that if you avenge his death, he'll enchant the orb for you. you agree and he opens a green gate to Monoarmipoten Use Serpents Mouth, serpents venom, serpents eyes, serpents teeth, and serpents scales (if I missed one use that too) from Serpents trail (Rename the areas). add some traps, and put in people similar to those who attacked necrid. In Serpents Venom, fight Becmas. he'll use the orb and will have high health, but low defence. when he dies, take the orb from his body, and contenue to where the draconian madstone was. there's a portal (Green Gate thing) that leads back to where you were. Necrid speaks to you again as a wraith, and gives you Emmendo. when used it asks if you want to enchant The orb with
Paralyze ~ Paralyze for 3 seconds on strike
Damage Health ~ Damage Health 30 pts on strike
Damage Magica ~ Damage Magica 60 pts on strike
Desinigrate ~ Desenigrate armor 45 pts, Desenigrate Weapon 45 pts on strike
Fire ~ Fire Damage 30 pts on strike
Frost ~ frost damage 30 pts on strike
Shock ~ Shock damage 30 pts on strike
Necrids Fury ~ Paralyze for 1 sec, Damage Health 5 pts, Damage Magica 15 pts, Desinigrate armor 10 pts, Desigigrate Weapon 10pts, Fire Damage 5 pts, Frost Damage 5 pts, shock damage 5pts on strike. Damage Fatige 30 pts on self

  • why would you use anything but Necrids Fury??!!!! its over powered!

[edit] Absolute Monarchy

Becoming the Prince of the Shivering Isles is nice indeed, however, when you commited a crime, why should you submit to a mere guard? Your the ruler of the Isles, you should be able to do what ever you want without consequences!

[edit] Counts

Maybe you could become the count of a certain city and take on those duties. Maybe after the main quest is over (so it doesn't interfere with Allies For Bruma quest) you can assassinate a count/countess. Maybe take over Cheydinhal for the Dark Brotherhood, or Bravil from its corrupt count and make the city prosperous.

  • Maybe becoming the Count or Countess of Kvatch, after saving the city, and helping rebuild the city.

[edit] Fort Sutch

I see no reason why we should let this perfectly good Castle go to waste. After you do the dark brotherhood quest you should be able to take over the ruin and pimp it out. The Battlehorn Castle merchant could sell you the stuff to refurnish the place and illuminate it. Maybe you hire guards from the Fighters Guild and recruit minor trainers to populate the place. Or you could set the place up as a marauder stronghold that you can rule over. Maybe even an Imperial Legion fortress. Fort Wariel could be Fort Sutch's old rival and sometimes you would have randomly generated pitched battles you could lead your force of generic Fort Sutch guards and storm the opposing fort.

[edit] Alternate DB questline

I see no reason in killing all the people in the DB sanctuary otehr than they THINK (keyword) there is a traitor in there. I think you should have an alternative response to Lucien and be able to prove the people in the sanctuary's innocence. maybe a little quest for each person. If you suceced in proving the innocence, the quest goes on, letting you do dead drops like normal, except that your old friends are rotting corpses somewhere. Maybe even save Luciens life (hes freaky, but i like people who give me free poisoned apples). The new members of the brotherhood (murderers) would stay in a new room (seperate cell from rest of Sanctuary) located behind a door on the wall near Vincent's room.

I agree, the Purification quest was my least favorite of all the quests. The Dark Brotherhood was AMAZING, but when it was done, there was never more than four people in the sanctuary (Arewen or however you spell it, and the three murders.) After that, it always felt so empty. Maybe you could meet Matheiw Bellamont before he leaves the Sanctuary, learn of his intentions, and tell your superiors, thus not needing to prove anyone's innocence. This option seems more plausible, since it requires only a single quest and a modified pre-existing NPC (The Night Mother's Tomb would be changed, but nothing a little Deleting can't get rid of.)

There's a mod on TESNexus called Whispered Warning. It lets you save all the members of the sanctuary you want, while killing those you don't care about.

[edit] Vampire Reign

Not so much a quest but I can't find anywhere else to put it so here goes... A small village where everyone is acting normal daytime but at night go to bed just before sundown and lock their doors with hard or very hard locks and sleep while a huge clan lurks outside and stays all night long until about an hour before dawn and then go and disapear. I suppose you could make it a quest to help the townsmen to kill the vampires...

[edit] Apprenticeship

I'm not a big fan of Oblivion's training system. Sure, it gets the job done, but how many people do you see in real life who walk into a shop, pay the shopkeeper to teach them their craft, and then the shopkeeper patiently teaches that person, a total stranger, mind, for an hour or so? Not many, I'm sure. Perhaps to make this a bit more immersive, we could take a page out of history's book and let the player apprentice him/herself to a shopkeeper like an alchemist, a smithy, a travelling merchant, etc. Each quest would reward you with an increase in a given skill along with the usual loot. Some quests would be repeatable (like "Gather 30 of such-and-such alchemy ingredient"), and others would be part of a story quest like the ones we're used to, but those would require your skill level to be at a certain point (so you can only progress in the questline by raising your skill). At the end of the questline, like when your skill is at 90-100, you could take over the shop and be a full-fledged shopkeeper.

[edit] Revolution in Leyawiin

Nobody likes the Countess of Leyawiin. She dislikes Khajiit, Dunmer and Argonians. She's steamrolling their culture into the ground. She keeps a torture chamber for immigrants! Would the good people of Leyawiin just let her have the reins? This would add an underground resistance whose main aim is to dethrone the Countess. It would probably also add:

  • Separate quest givers for both peaceful and violent revolutionary paths
  • A new batch of enemies; expand the role of the Knights of the White Stallion.
  • New NPCs - resistance leaders and informants, thieves, forgers, guards, etc
  • New locations - resistance clubhouse, Countess' country retreat
  • Renrijra Krin bandits - a big group of Khajiits who are on your side. Quests for them could include taking down Leyawiin guard outposts, stealing gold or delivering skooma to the Orumn gang in Cheydinhal.

[edit] The City of Vurlun

Ever noticed how all 9 of the divines do not have their own city? With the absence of "The City of Sutch" and "Sutch County," there are only 8 Cities, (Excluding the Imperial City & the Temple of the One), but Nine Divines. There should be a mod that creates a new city between Cheydinhal & Bravil, in the forests. In an otherwise empty area, such as on the western shores of Lake Canulus, getting rid of Fort Cuptor. Fort Cuptor is somewhat useless, besides for the Mysticism Skill Book and Zero-Weight Child's Overalls. While KOTN adds The Shrine of Kynareth, don't you think she deserves a city herself?

  • The City of Vurlun would be dedicated to Kynareth herself, the cities location somewhat appropriate to her ways.
  • Have more quests associated with the city.
  • Another house for sale!
  • The houses in town could take after thoose in Sundercliff Village.
  • Have the position of Count/Countess open, due to the 'strange' deaths of the Old Count. (Maybe an idea for a Quest?)
  • The Mages Guild could be Alchemy related, and against the School of Destruction.
  • While the Fighters Guild could be dealing with a lot of creature threats around the city. Or even competing with another branch of the Blackwood Company.

[edit] Bounty Hunters

How about a new guild/ agency that deals in collecting criminals in exchange for the bounty on their heads. This not only means that you will be given the opportunity to hunt down a list of new NPCs for this new guild/ agency, but also if you have a bounty on your head that you will be randomly confronted by various leveled bounty hunters trying to take you in.

  • If you do complete quests for this guild/ agency you will not advance in rank but your contracts will become much more exciting

[edit] Nerastarel's Story

How about you are find an old book saying what happened to Nerastarel and how he had a similar, yet more successful, fate to that of Logren Benirus, and how he is hiding on some unnamed island. You then have to travel to the island and confront Nerastarel, who has taken the form of some powerful looking undead creature (Lich?) and his army of the undead. After you defeat Nerastarel and his army, his ghost rewards you for freeing him with a powerful spell/ blessing or some kind of enchanted weapon/ armor.

[edit] Dark Brotherhood Additional Quest "Assassinate the Elder Council"

This quest will only be made available to the player when both the main questline and the DB questlines are both fully completed. Your character is visited in a dream by Sithis, similar to the conversation with Pelinal Whitestrake, and you are told that you must kill the entire Elder Council, except for Ocato, because they have offended him in some way, or Ocato prayed to Sithis to kill the rest of the Elder Council so he alone will be in-charge of Cyrodill.

  • About 10-15 new NPC's will be added in for this quest and will all flee to various points throughout Cyrodill after the first few members are killed.
  • Reward for this quest will be an enchanted weapon (Sithis' Judgement) or a new spell (Sithis' Rage)
    • Sithis' Judgement (Longsword): Paralyze for 10 sec. on strike, Drain Health 10 points for 10 sec. on strike, Invisibility for 10 sec. on strike (So it looks like they really were sent to the Void) (8000 points, 10 uses)
    • Sithis' Rage (Greater Power): Fortify Blade, Blunt, Marksman, and Destruction 50 points for 15 sec. on self, Chameleon 100% for 15 sec. on self, Paralyze in 50 ft. for 15 sec. on target (May be slightly overpowered)

[edit] Daggerfall Vampirism

Make a vampire mod that makes becoming a vampire in Oblivion like becoming a vampire in Daggerfall. For more information see Daggerfall:Vampirism. I would like to experience vampirism in that way because I don't want to have to buy Daggerfall to experience it. Add a masoleum for the player character's family that holds all your relatives and when you walk out you find that all your guild memberships have been revoked except for the Dark Brotherhood because they allow vampire's and you will have to join the other guilds all over again. this would be a good mod for those who liked Daggerfall's method of vampirism and for those who want to experience it. Please notify when this mod has been created. This mod should be creatable because all you might need to do for the masoleom is make a program like the dreamworld amulet script.

[edit] Return of the Akaviri

I think someone should make a mod where the Akaviri come to Cyrodil and you have to defeat them. There could be a bunch of imperial legion soldiers with you and several different battles. You could defend all of the citys ending with the imperial city.

[edit] Larger Number

If the Imperial City is the capital city of Cyrodil why is there only like 20 distinct NPC's? If it is possible and to not mess up the frame rates,it would be quite cool to see the crowded streets of the Imperial City. Although it probably doesn't have the capacity to run so many npcs.

[edit] NPC trips

NPCs should sometimes take trips and bring back more for example,Phineas(i think) should bring back more books if he takes a 2 day trip to Morrowind or Bruma or some city. It would make it more interesting if he came back with some rare morrowind book and could sell it to you for a lot of money.

[edit] A seventeenth Daedric Prince

I think that there should another Daedric Prince that has been forgotten since the Dawn Era who wants to take over Tamriel, and needs you to do it. To make it really interesting, you must enter his realm of Oblivion, and while you are forced into his service, you must also try to stop him.
