[edit] Notes

  • General: List mods in alphabetical order. Keep Comments/Other fairly short.
  • Do not list uses of the Merge tag here (NoMerge however is fine). This is because Bash's "Mark Mergeable" command will correctly add/remove the Merge tag as appropriate.
  • The FCOM Compatibility Page and FAQ page lists additional uses of Wrye Bash.
Mod Tags Comments/Other
Book Jackets Oblivion Graphics Mod makes every book in Oblivion unique and attractive. It also fixes upside down books in a number of cells (e.g. Mage Guild halls). Because of the fixes to placed books, this mod should be left active.
  • Leave active, but set to load early.
  • Tag with 'Graphics' and use Import Graphics in Bashed Patch.
Book Jackets Shivering Isles Graphics, NoMerge Mod makes every book in Shivering Isles unique and attractive.
  • Deactivate, tag with 'Graphics', and use Import Graphics in Bashed Patch.
Cobl In the Bashed Patch, use:
  • Alchemical Catalogs to update Cobl's alchemical catalogs.
  • Leveled List to merge Cobls changes to leveled lists.
DarNified UI Users of DarN should use Assorted Tweaks: DarNified Books as well as Import Graphics (with appropriate tagging of book mods). See DarNified Books tutorial.
  • In Bashed Patch, use Assorted DarNified books.
  • See also Book Jackets for Oblivion and Shivering Isles above.
Loading Screens Themed Replacer (LSTR) Graphics, NoMerge LSTR replaces graphic images for loading screen records.
  • Deactivate, tag with 'Graphics' and use Import Graphics in the Bashed Patch.

Note: There is also a Loading Screens Themed Addon mod. Because LSTAO adds new records, it should be left active (i.e. don't tag or import it).

TNR (Tamriel NPCs Revamped) NpcFaces, NoMerge TNR changes the faces of NPCs in Oblivion to be more esthetically pleasing.
  • Deactivate, tag with 'NpcFaces' and 'NoMerge', and use Import Npc Faces in Bashed Patch.

Notes:

  • 'NpcFaces' is not strictly required, since Bash is hardwired to treat mods whose name begins with "TNR " as if they were tagged with "NpcFaces".
  • TNR should be imported, not merged, since import brings in all relevant information, while merge brings in stats, which (depending on position in load order) may overrule other mods (e.g. Frans) in undesirable ways.
TNR Shivering Isles NpcFaces, Invent, NoMerge TNR changes the faces of NPCs in Shivering Isles to be more esthetically pleasing. It also removes helmets from many of the guards to make their faces more visible.
  • Deactivate, tag with 'NpcFaces', 'Invent' and 'NoMerge', and use Import Npc Faces and Import Inventory in Bashed Patch.

Notes:

  • Same as for regular TNR, but use Import Inventory to maintain the helmet removal. If you don't want helmets to be removed, then don't use Import Inventory.
  • Note that Helmets may not be removed for guards that you have already seen while in-game.
