These are the rules governing posts made to UESP's forums.

• No Blatant Advertising - This forum is not free advertising space and is not a place to advertise your website! Please take your business elsewhere. This includes links in your signatures.
• No Spamming - No commercial posts, advertising, or post flooding the forum with useless content. Replies and comments to increase your post count will be deleted.
• No Necro-posting - This is bringing old topics back to life. If you have a legitimate reason for resurrecting a topic, to ask for more help on the same subject, that is fine. If the topic is weeks old, then they have probably received the help they needed. Making a comment in an old topic only makes you look bad, and is considered to be post flooding.
• Off-Topic Posting - As seen in everyday conversations, topics will naturally glide off topic. This is perfectly natural. As long as it glides, and doesn't stall right out of the sky, it's alright. Just don't crash the plane, and you'll be doing well.
• Post in the correct forum - You will have your post moved if you post in the wrong forum.
• Research your questions - You don't want to look foolish when you ask something like "Where do I get this Item?" We get most of our information from the Wiki.
• Warn before spoiling - If you're about to give away something huge about a game (commonly known as spoilers), be considerate and warn others before you do so.
• Use a decent topic subject - People tend to look at topics that have educated subjects more than they do with subjects such as "HELLPPP!!!!" or "look at this"
• Flaming will not be tolerated - This includes any material that is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invasive of others' privacy, sexually oriented, or in violation of any laws. Criticize ideas, not people.
  • Be nice to the other members - Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people. Trolling doesn't help anyone. Treat others the way you would want them to treat you.
• Respect the privacy of others - Do not post the phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc of others.
• Console wars - Console wars do nothing but make people argue with each other and don't provide any helpful information about the games. So just try not to argue about which console is better. It never stays civil when fanboys square off.
• No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material - This includes suggestive images, graphics, and comments. Also, don't post links to warez, warez sites or sites with pornographic or objectionable content. Only link to sites that are for family viewing only.
• No Piracy - Posting or links to discussing pirated images, movies, computer software and music is strongly prohibited.
• Don't use bad words - Remember: What's okay to you may not be okay to someone else.
• Politics and Religion - This is not a political or religious site. Please do not post on any issue that can be considered as political or religious as someone will always be offended.
• Use correct grammar - Come on, this isn't exactly a rule, but use correct grammar. Not only does this make you seem intelligent, but it makes your posts easier to read as well. Using LEET speak, and text message abbreviations makes it hard for people to understand your problem, and means they are less likely to be able to help you.

If you behave like you have not read the rules, you will receive a warning!

[edit] Posting of Links

To prevent spam the posting of links is disabled for new users. In order to post links you must both:

1. be a registered user for more than 7 days
2. and have more than 10 posts

These settings may be changed if required. If you attempt a post containing a link and you don't satisfy the above requirements you will receive an error message.
