[edit] Initial Practice

I think the main things to use this for are non-public personal information (unwillingly disclosed, or perhaps requested to be hidden later, such as a link to a Facebook profile) and vandalism (the vulgar titles and edit summaries).

I'm somewhat curious as to how this behaves because I am used to the RevDelete, I believe, from Wikipedia. If it doesn't leave anything behind (even a note of removal), how should we go about logging it? Should we have something similar to the Blockers page? It seems like something like that could work, but there is a log for Oversight. However, it is only available to Oversighters. Perhaps a group should be created in order to view that log but not use it? Something along the lines of $wgGroupPermissions['viewer']['oversight'] = true; where viewer is a new tentative group name. It's not necessary, but it provides transparency. (A possibility would be to have it for administrators or administrators and patrollers.)

As for the wording of the policy, we can just use Wikipedia as an example. Elliot (talk) 03:57, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
