I'm an Aussie coder who tends to stick my nose in all over the place, wanted or not!

My current character in Oblivion is once again a Mage-Assassin, focusing mostly on Destruction, Alteration, and Sneak. (I'd previously had to switch to playing on my old laptop where I enjoying the "hit things till they stop moving" approach to the game with an Orc Warrior after my desktop machine blew up. Luckily my desktop is running again now!)

Finished the main quest line, which was interesting though a little bit of a let down I felt. Finished off most of the side-quests and mini-expansions.

Currently stalled due to real life commitments... I'll be back at some point!

Update: The IT department where I work just got out-sourced, and I'll be redundant in a few months–just as soon as the new outsourcing company finishes sucking my brain dry! In the interim I may well end up hanging around here again for a while :)

Seeing as I don't get to play Oblivion at work, I have to suffice with adding and editing content about it on here! Most of what I do on here is tidying up, formatting, and adding links.

My major task at the moment is moving all in-game book text to the Tamriel namespace, as most of these books continue to re-occur through the series. At this stage links to those books from game specific pages will link directly to the Tamriel page, no transclusion or redirection, as I feel this is the most appropriate method as there is no game-specific info on these books.

This will be a pretty large task, and I'll be doing it in several stages. (Note: Just redoing this, bigger than I'd thought and more steps!)

I'll be doing a Move on any book I find which is simply a normal book (excluding anything quest related, or that gives skill bonuses). This will be a straight move, no reformatting, however I will also be adding the book to the appropriate page off Tamriel:Books.

I'll be creating subpages for author and desc for each book, which will then be used with Book Info and Book Link templates to make it easier to keep everything standard. (See Tamriel:Books/ABCs for Barbarians for an example.) Go through all books, tidying up, fixing links, adding Template:Book Info info to each book. Note: Looks like some other people have started on the Book Info templates, thanks guys!.

Make sure game specific info is not in the Tamriel page. Use transclusion where needed.

Status

• 1.1 Moved all books from Daggerfall.
• 1.2 Moved all books from Morrowind.
• 1.3 Moved all books from Tribunal.
• 1.4 Moved all books from Bloodmoon.
• 1.5 Moved all books from Oblivion.
• 2.1 Working on subpages for author and desc. This'll be a long one! (A-D complete...)

Note: If anyone is looking for some work they can do, adding /Author and /Desc subpages to books would be appreciated, I'd suggest starting from Z and working backwards.
