This user frequently visits the official UESP IRC chatroom.

Hoggwild5 is my long-held nickname since the times of AOL. I'm a retired project manager and human resources consultant who was originally hooked on Morrowind by my son, and have become a huge fan of the game. I also play Oblivion. While I own the PC versions of both games, I tend to concentrate my gametime on the XBox and XBox 360 -- this takes away my temptation to cheat.

I became involved in contributing to UESP in a major fashion in September 2006 as a way to give back to the resource site that I have used during my ElderScrolls gameplay for years.

I found the environment here with some of the admin staff on UESP to be a bit....stifling. So, after much philosophical musing, I decided to concentrate my efforts elsewhere, and have co-founded a new site about the Elder Scrolls called Wikiscrolls. While there are folks who would like to categorize Wikiscrolls as "similar to UESP", I think you'll find that we indeed have a unique site. We respect your intelligence and will not presume to presuppose what you should think....come visit us and decide for yourselves.

I am currently heavily involved in the Morrowind Rework Project on UESP. The goal of this project is to bring the Morrowind pages up to the same format and standard as the Oblivion pages currently. This includes adding lots of additional information about Morrowind, and lots of additional pages on different locations and play characters in the game.

When playing both Morrowind and Oblivion, I tend to migrate my character toward Imperial Battlemages or Imperial Assassins. I don't go for the bloody-massacre type of gameplay; I prefer stealth and minimal conflict, killing only when necessary.

My favorite character quote from Morrowind is: "A nudist! How wonderful! You seem to be a lively spirit!"

Current Projects:

  • Main Oblivion Game NPCs completed
  • Correcting links (using Wanted pages, looking for pages with only one link that don't belong to a User or a Talk page and checking the linked pages for possible typos in the links)
  • Determine correct character name: Oblivion:Dahila Rackham or Oblivion:Dahlia Rackham
  • Reformatting some of the guild quest pages to comply with quest page formats
  • Completing stubs, cleanup, and WIP pages
