[edit] Diary of Smlajie
This is a RP story...
[edit] Part 1
Morndas, Sixteenth of Heartfire 8.32 pm
I’ve just started writing this, I hope there will be a point of this in the future… I work in Skingrad as a grape-picker. I work for the Surille Brothers because I’ve been good friends with them for a long time, especialy Gaston Surille. I am a pretty poor man really, I get paid 10 gold a day, but I used to waste all my money on wine and beer, until now, now it stops! I’m starting to get a bad reputation because I smell of Ale and beer, can’t afford any clothes, don’t worry though, I’ve still kept my pants and shoes after I was released from prison for looking up the Countess’s skirt, don’t blame me! I was drunk! I guess I should mention some information about myself…:
Race: Breton Age: Twenty- One Fellow race friends: Imperials and the Altmer Enemy race(s): Dunmer, Argonian and Kajiit Favourite city: Skingrad Least favourite city: Bravil
Tirdas, Seventeenth of Heartfire 7.13 am
I have to go to work in 27 minutes, I’m all ready to go. I don’t have a house, I’m staying at the West Weald Inn. Gaston said he’d give me a bonus if I picked 100 grapes from the vineyard in one day, of course that would mean I must steal grapes from Tamika’s vineyard as well! Oh well, the bonus is worth it! I get an extra 100 gold a day for the rest of the week! It’s going to be hard to steal from Tamika though, and if I get caught, I’m in big trouble! Oh well, I better start walking to Surille Vineyards, I’ll probably write again this evening to note how I did!
Tirdas, Seventeenth of Heartfire 9.53 pm
Success! 123 grapes, turned them in to Davide Surille, he congratuated me and gave me 110 gold! I’m real tired now… Tamika won’t be able to sell any wine for at least 3 days while the Surille Brothers will sell at least 30 wines a day! They will make a massive profit of about 400 gold! Although, there biggest order didn’t come from Cyrodiil… It came from Summerset Isle and they need someone to deliver the wine…
Middas, Eighteenth of Heartfire 5.21 am
I woke up hearing strange noises from the basement! I must go down and investigate!
Middas, Eighteenth of Heartfire 6.43 am
That noise, it was horrible, I only caught a glimpse of it and I ran away to tell the guards at the castle. It looked like a demon, it sounded like a demon, perhaps it was a demon! I am now writing at the waiting room of the castle, I am waiting to hear what that awfull demon was! Wait, a guard that was sent to investigate is coming, the Count sent ten, one returned, and he’s bleeding to death! He’s approaching me…
Middas, Eighteenth of Heartfire 8.23 am
After a long discussion with the guard (who is now dead) and the count, I found out that this horrible creature is a Dremora! From the planes of Oblivion! How could this happen, this clearly shows that there is an Oblivion gate nearby… poor Sinderion as well, he tried to fight, used all the potions and poision he’d made, but didn’t survive… Sinderion and the ten guards took a lot of fight out of him, the counts butler has locked the door of the basement and the city doors, now no one can enter or escape the city! The count has ordered me, yes ME, to go down that basement with another ten guards to kill the Dremora! He’s taught me a legendary destruction spell of his family, called “Dragons Rage” a fire spell that does 50 damage on target for 5 seconds! That’s a total of 250 damage! Well, the guards are all ready so I must leave my diary and keep it in my rucksack, I may never write in it again!
[edit] Part 2
Middas, Eighteenth of Heartfire 4.32 pm
I cant believe I made it out there alive, I killed the Dremora after all the other guards fell, it took me 3 shots, he still had over 750 health left! That was indeed a Dremora Lord. I explained to the Surille Brothers why I couldn’t work today, they were so relieved! Especialy Gaston! He was so proud of me, he promoted me! I get paid 200 gold a day now at the Surille Brothers Vineyard as a “Delivery Man”. Oh, and I guess I should tell you how much gold I got rewarded by the count for ridding that Dremora, 500 gold! I have now got 2432 gold, I’m saving for that rather nice house for sale called “Rosethorn Hall”. I’ll be going around town in a bit saying my farewells as I leave to Summerset Isle to deliver a large amount of Surille Brothers Wine. It will take at least a week to get there and back on a fine boat belonging to Anvil. I will continue to write in my diary, but not as much now, I will have to guard the wine with my powerful destruction spell.
Loredas, Twenty First of Heartfire 1.02 am
I’ve finaly arrived Summerset Isle and what a lovely place it is! No Dunmer, no Kajiit and no Argonians! I’m not racist against them, it’s just I don’t like them much… I’ve rented a room in a nice Inn called “Altmers’ Restoration”. I’m really tired now so I’m going to sleep, I must deliver the wine to a massive Hall tommorow, called “Summerset Hall” they’ll give me 5000 gold, I cannot keep that, I must give it to Davide, Gaston will be very proud of me again, I can’t wait to see him! He’s such a good friend!
Sundas, Twenty Second of Heartfire 7.31 pm
I’ve delivered the wine, on my way back to Cyrodiil, but a bunch of Pirates are after my “booty”! I must aim my Dragons’ Rage spell at their flag, it’ll burn the flag, then the wood and then the ship! Oh no… I’ve wasted too much time with this damn diary that the pirates have boarded this ship! Instead of aiming my…
Sundas, Twenty Second of Heartfire 7.50 pm
Sorry about my last entry, a pirate stormed into my cabin and I had to rid him and the rest on this ship! I am the only survivor, how am I to get back to Cyrodiil? I must search for the old Cap’n’s map and steer this thing myself…
Tirdas, Twenty Fourth of Heartfire 4.51 pm
I’ve found myself in a Country called Hammerfell… I must find someone here that can steer my ship back to Anvil…
Middas, Twenty Fifth of Heartfire 8.12 pm
I’m back at Anvil and on my way back to Skingrad! You’ll never guess who steered the boat back to Anvil! An Argoinan called Plant-Seun! I take back my hatred to Argonians now! I love the smelly lizards! I am writing in an empty camp called Fat RampCamp. I think it’s close to Skingrad… I’ll rest here now until morning…
[edit] Part 3
Turdas, Twenty Fifth of Heartfire 2.32 am
I’m now hiding in the corner in one of the tents, I’m hearing three Kajiit talking to each other about a nearby Oblivion gate! I am so very frightened now! They’re all wearing Glass Armour, if I move now, they’re bound to see me with their Night Eye ability! What’s this? Oh my lord! This cannot be happening! No… No! Five dremora, normal looking Dremora at least are running towards the three Bandits! The Bandits are getting out their weapons, 2 with shortwords and one with a bow! What an extrodanary fight! Wow, I still musn’t be seen or I’m done for! If I’m seeing right in the dark, There’s only 1 dremora left! Now is my chance to leggit towards skingrad!
Turdas, Twenty Fifth of Heartfire 2.54 am
This can’t be happening! NO! The Surille Brother’s vineyard is burning and Tamika’s is burnt, I must check to see if Gaston and Davide are allright!
Turdas, Twenty Fifth of Heartfire 4.12 am
No… This can’t happen! It mustn’t end like this! I’ve just been helping Davide kill the remaining Daedra… And helping him get Gaston to the Chapel healer… I’m writing in the Chapel, while poor Valandrus Abor tries to heal poor Gaston, I don’t wish for Gaston to die like this! He can’t die like this!
Turdas, Twenty Fifth of Heartfire 8.25 pm
I’m so so sad! I’m writing with tears in my eyes, I’ll never go to sleep feeling like this! I’ve just been to Gaston’s funeral! No! I can’t take this anymore! The Daerda are still spawning out there, out of that damned gate! At least Skingrad itself is allright and the doors locked. The Imperial Forces are on their way, but I must take my vengeance out on the Dremora! I will close that gate, yes I will close the gate! I am leaving my diary here so if I fail, someone in the furure will hear of this crisis!
Turdas, Twenty Fifth of Heartfire 8.34 pm
I ran towards the city gates, but that damn guard there wouldn’t let me pass! He said the Imperial Forces could handle it themselves since there are just about 500 of them, I doubt they’ll succeed! I love the Imperial Race and all, but they aren’t the strong titties aren’t they? No, but us Bretons are very well experienced Sorcerors! I’ve had the last straw about the “Imperial Forces” and “we Imperials have it all under control”. But who is the one who beat that Dremora Lord? ME! I think I’m going insane! I’ve got to stop Cyrodiil, and my insanity!
Fredas, Twenty Sixth of Heartfire 6.12 am
No, a good nights sleep didn’t work that well to rid this insanity, in fact, it was a bad nights sleep, the Daedra broke down the City walls and killed nearly everyone! Everyone who’s not hiding in The West Weald Inn Basement! They probably think that the Dremora Lord that was down here is guarding here, the city’s in flames and there’s an Oblivion gate INSIDE the city walls! Right next to Rosethorn Hall! The remaining people have voted that I and Janus Hassildor, the vampire count, another powerful sorceror, go into the Oblivion gate that’s inside the city! Just now he taught me how to use another spell that I didn’t think was possible, “Summon Fire Dragon”, he told me whenever I needed to fly to the top of some tower to grab a certain stone, I have no idea what that means but one consequence there is that it will permanantly leave Hassildor trapped inside a dark vortex… Off I go!
[edit] Part 4
Sundas, Twenty Eighth of Heartfire 3.54 pm
Good news or bad news? Ok, I’ll just write the story in this biggish log:
We entered the big orangie red gate that leads to Oblivion after we got rid of some Daedra creatures, most of that work went to Janus, anyhow,we entered and saw that the Daedra had brought the Corpses of the old citizens of Skingrad inside the gate, the one that creeped me was parts of Gaston’s body everywhere around the gate, not all of it, just some… The small fire-throwing tower was very annoying, thankfully the damage was petty, since I’m Breton. So Janus and I searched everywhere on ground level but didn’t find the big door leading to the big tower. Janus saw a small cave on the other side of a pool of lava, well, a never-ending river to be honest, Janus didn’t know much about Alteration, he knew much more about destruction, we couldn’t Water Walk over the lava, but Janus had a breakthrough! He cast a VERY powerful Frost spell on the lava, it froze the lava and we tip-toed over the river towards the cave, I made it to the Cave door before Jaunus, he was still half way, trying to find a safe path towards me. I suddenly saw a Dremora behind the lava river, he wasn’t on it, for some reason… He cast a paralyze spell on Janus, and then a Strong Fireball next to the feet of Janus. As you’d expect, the frost started to melt quickly and Janus was still down with the Paralyze spell, I was so worried, I couldn’t come back and save Janus Hassildor, a great man (well, vampire), because the ice was melted, completely! Poor Janus was still paralyzed burning to his death! He did tell me to cast that spell before he dies, I saw much wisdom in him words, I cast the spell and Janus disappeared along with everyone else, inside that nightmare of a dark vortex! I cried while riding that dragon that flew all the way to the tallest tower containing the “ Sigil Stone”, burning everything that got in it’s way. I finaly landed next to a noisy, small stone! It was the Sigil Stone! I couldn’t believe it! I grabbed it and crouched down with the Sigil Stone secure in my hands. I closed my eyes as tight as they’ll go and suddenly thought of Janus, I opened my eyes to see Janus’ face in the surrounding fire, literaly in the fire, a giant face of fire! He smiled at me and I smiled back, it was an emotional moment, before I found myself lying up to see a dark sky with millions of stars and a big moon, it was nice and cool back in the real world, but then all my sad memories came back as I remembered Janus and Gaston really, I started to walk back to the castle and showed everyone there the Sigil Stone, and they asked:- “Where’s the Count?”, I had to tell them the truth, they were very disappointed, suprisingly not with me, but with Janus…They bought the Sigil Stone for a massive 50’000 gold! I’ll never have to work again! They disappointed me with one comment though, Rosethorn Hall was destroyed when the gate closed and exploded…
So that was the story of my Oblivion gate plunder, and you’ll never guess where I’m writing! In The Count’s Room! That’s right! I am the new count of Skingrad! Writing this has made me tired, and it’s pretty late, I’m going to sleep in my new Lord sized bed!
[edit] The message of Death (Part 5)
This is not your hero Smlajie talking, I murdered him and I’m using his blood as ink. You might be wandering who I am? This blood is fresh so none of Hero Smlajie’s guards of Bodyguards know of this, and never will… hehehe…If any of you guards find this Diary of an extrodanary man, who closed Oblivion Gate’s and defeated Dremora Lords, though killed in his sleep by a top class Murderer, me, then you’ll know where I am, you’ll know who I am, but you’ll never run after me, because you’ll never find me in my secret cave…And I have plenty of fellow murderers and thieves, I can control all of them, I can order one to kill, Lucien Lachance maybe? How about the Gray Fox? Or even High Chancelor Ocato? I can even order one of my thieves to steal a flower under the noses of the guard without no-one realising…… So, what will it be? Will you come looking for me? Will you die trying? Come on! Bring it on! You’ll never kill me! Varlados will stand tall once again!
