Detailed Walkthrough

"Then... the leadership is not mine?"

Find Bujold's Retreat and talk to Bujold the Unworthy. Agree to join the assault on Thirsk Mead Hall and kill all the rieklings in the mead hall. When it's done, talk to Bujold. She asks you to accompany her to Hrothmund's Barrow. Enter the barrow with Bujold and help her regain her leadership title. When Hrothmund's spirit tells her she's not worthy to remain a leader, you can either agree to lie to her crew and tell them she's still their leader, or tell her she won't get away with the lie. If you take the latter option, she will turn on you, and you must kill her. Upon returning with Bujold to Thirsk Mead Hall, you will be confronted by her husband Kuvar. You can either lie about what happened, as you agreed, or expose Bujold's intentions. Exposing the lie will lead to Bujold being exiled from the hall.

Notes

• If you choose to tell Kuvar the truth about Bujold, he will no longer interact with you. If you chose to kill her, but lie to him about defeating her, he will deal with you as if you did not wrong him.
• After the Nords have taken Thirsk Mead Hall, small groups of Rieklings will periodically spawn both outside and inside the hall and engage in combat with you and the inhabitants.
• This quest requires that you kill the quest giver for The Chief of Thirsk Hall, so you can only do one or the other. This quest has no rewards except making a blacksmith and a Heavy Armor trainer available^{[verification needed — see talk page]}, while the other allows you to recruit Riekling followers.

Bugs

• If you kill Bujold and return to Thirsk, the NPCs other than Kuvar will have the dialogue that she was exiled. ^?

Notes
