Fomer professor, so I tend to fix its/it's when I see it, as well as other little annoying grammatical errors.
Xbox 360 owner. (Only one sent back for the RRoD problem... so far... but the replacements are supposed to be fixed nowadays, right?)
- Oh bummer the second one died after about 4.5 months! Sigh...
Occasional wiki editor. I tend to stick to the snarky comment by Tycho at Penny Arcade, who once said, in reference to Wikipedia, something like "It is not my job to fix the Internet." But this site seems more in keeping with the kind of idealism on the Internet that mostly works.
Has ES IV: Oblivion, which is a pretty great game for many reasons. It's in the vein of the games I cut my teeth on way back when, such as Wizardry, Ultima II and IV, Bard's Tale, and I'm sure there were others in there somewhere. Ok, those are party-based games, Oblvion is single-character, but they're all D&D-type RPGs. The introductory sequence to Oblvion, in the sewers where the player to some degree choses the character type (via skills), is somewhat similar to the introduction to Ultima IV where the player had to answer questions from a fortune teller and these answers would cause a specific character type to be selecte. Not quite the same, but the concept is to get an idea of the player's preferences and base the character on that.
I have finally made a user account, after doing everything anonymously from 72.229.151.216 (and my IP address will of course change one day when I have to reboot by cable modem).
