Below is a list of Oblivion Characters who suffer a 'scripted death' at some point in the game. A scripted death involves the Character dying no matter what choices the player makes. Scripted deaths are usually part of a quest and if the character remains alive somehow after they are supposed to have died it may be impossible for the player to advance in the relevant quest.

Several characters will only suffer a scripted death in certain circumstances, otherwise they will be killed either directly by the player or survive, see relevant quest pages for details.
