I got Oblivion right when it came out and put in 100 hours in 10 days and beat it 100% pretty much. After taking a break for a while, I now play it off and on with many of the popular (and some less well-known) mods that enhance Oblivion. I have all the Official Plugins and Shivering Isles but have yet to complete most of them yet. Not pulling another 100+ hour at 10 hours/day marathon :P.

• Advanced Water
  • Makes the surface of the water look more realistic.
• AF Level Mod
  • Does away with the original Oblivion leveling system of trying to get +5 modifiers by calculating attributes based on skill level averages. Also enables levelups without sleeping.
• Atmospheric Oblivion
  • Puts in ambient sounds such as bird chirps, wave laps, and rock crumblings to make the environments more atmospheric.
• Atmospheric Weather System
  • Adds alot more weather types that makes the outdoors more atmospheric.
• Beautiful Stars
  • Makes the stars in the night sky look better.
• Better Amulets
  • Makes amulets look better and sharper.
• Better Beer Bottles
  • Makes beer bottle labels much better looking and clearer.
• Better Bell Sounds
  • Increases the volume of chapel bells so you can hear them all over town.
• Better Gold
  • Makes gold coins look better.
• Better Grass Without Tiling
  • Makes grass textures look better with less of a tiled look.
• Better Horse Eyes
  • Makes horse eyes look better.
• Better Looking Tools
  • Makes repair hammers and lockpicks look better.
• Better Night Sky
  • Makes the moons look much better at night.
• Better Rings
  • Makes rings look better and sharper.
• Better Wine
  • Makes wine bottle labels much better looking and clearer.
• Book Jackets High Res
  • Makes book jackets look much better and clearer and higher resolution.
• Borderless Cyrodiil
  • Allows you to walk outside the invisible boundaries.
• BTMod
  • Greatly improves the GUI and interface to see more information.
• Double Enchantment Limits
  • Doubles the limits on enchanting and spell shrines.
• Drop Lit Torches in Combat
  • Drops a lit torch currently being carried when a sword is pulled out so the fight is illuminated.
• Dunbarrow Pirate Flag Reskin
  • Makes the pirate flag in Dunbarrow Cove look less playful and more pirate-like.
• Flames Random
  • Randomizes flames in torches so a line of torches (Skingrad bridge) aren't all dancing in unison.
• Gem Prices
  • Increases the prices of gems since they were rather low for so rare an item.
• Glittering Prizes
  • Adds a twinkle to gems to make them more special looking.
• Gorier Blood
  • Makes blood textures more gory.
• Health Modifier
  • Makes health depend only on Endurance instead of Endurance and Level.
• House Map Markers
  • Adds map markers in front of owned houses to allow quick travel right to them.
• Illumination Within Revived Optimized
  • Makes windows of buildings light up so it looks like people are actually living there.
• Keychain and SI Compatibility
  • Adds a keychain to the inventory to hold all the keys.
• Landscape LOD NormalMap Fix
  • Makes the long-distant land textures look better.
• Landscape LOD Texture Replacement
  • Makes the long-distant land textures look better.

  • Makes the long-distant land textures look better.
• Legendary Mastery
  • Makes spell increases above 100 actually do something and give perks.
• Lighter Backpack
  • Doubles the amount you can carry since alot of items are unrealistically heavy.
• More Arena Spectators Lite
  • Adds more spectators to the arena fights.
• Movable Bodies
  • Increases the weight you can lift with Grab so bodies are easier to move.
• Natural Faces
  • Increases the resolution of the face textures to make them look better.
• Natural Interiors
  • Changes interior light based on time of day and plays weather sounds inside as well.
• Nirnroot Sound
  • Increases the range of nirnroot sounds.
• No Cell Reset
  • Disables cell resets so dungeons and containers will not respawn and items and bodies will not magically disappear.
• No Psychic Guards
  • Makes it so guards do not magically hear crimes that are further away than an NPC can yell.
• Quest Award Leveler
  • Levels quest awards with you so they do not become useless.
• Real Lava
  • Makes lava in Oblivion not look like red water.
• Realistically Priced Clutter
  • Makes most items worth something and more intricate pieces such as silver worth more.
• Smarter Mercantile Leveling
  • Makes mercantile skill leveling based on amount of gold transfered instead of number of items.
• Stamina Mod
  • Changes use of Fatigue to Stamina.
• Stormier Storms
  • Makes storms louder.
• Tamriel Viewable While Distant
  • Makes some buildings viewable from long distances away so they do not just magically appear when getting close.
• Unofficial Oblivion Patch
  • Fixes tons of bugs in Oblivion.
