Welcome[edit]

Hello Dlarsh! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors. Enjoy! –Eshetalk 00:28, 22 June 2009 (EDT)

Helping with vandalism[edit]

Hi. Thank you for clearing up the vandalism. You can issue a warning yourself. Everyone is allowed to if appropriate. To do so you have to click on the user's contributions, scroll down and there you'll see two messages. Select the one which is appropriate. Don't forget to add a header and make sure the user knows which edit they made got them this warning. You can also look for UESPWiki:Messages in the Recent Changes page. I hope this helped. If you have a question, ask me! Thanks again. Wolok gro-Barok 23:51, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Could you please add headers when you're welcoming a user or warning a vandal? For the rest, keep up the good work! Wolok gro-Barok 19:51, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, just missed your reply on my talk page. Keep it up! Wolok gro-Barok 19:53, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Recovering Maps[edit]

I can actually recover all of the maps you uploaded, if you don't have copies easily available. (The maps are actually still on the server, it's just that the wiki doesn't know about them any more). So let me know if there are any you'd like me to dig up. --NepheleTalk 22:48, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the offer Nephele, but thankfully they're all safe on my image editor at home. I just can't upload them at the moment since I'm at work. I'm off in an hour, so I can just upload them then. Thanks again though. -Dlarsh 23:08, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Sounds good :) I'm sure I'll be able to find enough other problems to keep me busy :P --NepheleTalk 23:12, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Welcoming People[edit]

I saw that edit to your user page. Here's a tip you might not have discovered: the User Creation Log will let you see all the new accounts at a glance, and the ones that haven't been welcomed yet will have their talk page links in red. The ones that have made an edit will have their "contribs" link in blue. That should make it easier to do all the welcoming you want. –rpehTCE 15:57, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Rpeh, that helps a lot. By the way, is there an actual template for the "official" welcome message, or do I have to use the UESPwiki:Messages page every time? -Dlarsh 16:08, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
The Messages page is the easiest way to do it, I think, but that page simply places this one onto what ever page you tell it to so there's no reason why you can't copy/paste/edit that one. –rpehTCE 16:11, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Alright, thanks again Rpeh. Also, I have a bit of an off-topic question. I was wondering how you and some of the other users were able to customize your signaures to include links to your talk page? I tried adding the link to the signature box in my preferences, but it just came out as a text block. -Dlarsh 16:31, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
The trick is to tick the "Raw Signatures" option. For instance, my sig is –rpeh•T•C•E•, which stops the wiki markup being processed until it gets added to the page. –rpehTCE 16:56, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
My thanks yet again Rpeh. Let's see how this looks... -Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs) 17:03, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Patroller icon[edit]

Since you put your own "No Patroller" userbox on your page, the icon has changed. Would you mind changing your userbox to use the image NoPatrollerIcon.jpg? Thanks! --GKTalk2me 23:14, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Done. Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 23:19, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Oblivion:Enchanted Apparel ShowHide[edit]

Not a problem. They look very nice by the way, well done. Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 18:59, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

how do i install mods?[edit]

where is the morrowind directory? wat do i do? help! -Scotty1215 15:59, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

To be honest, I stumbled through it myself, but I can give you the page with the directions I followed. This is the page that told me how to do it, it's informative, complete, and it holds your had all the way through. Further more, I followed a link directly from Bethesda's forums to get there, so the information is reliable as well. I hope this helps, and good luck. Congratulations![edit]

Rosethorn hall[edit]

I have a question on the page it says the house costs 25000 septims but its not clear whether you have to pay all together because another page says that gettting sheppard pies from your servant is a great way to pay the house off and I think it should be made clearer 71.210.10.29 00:33, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

I've changed the phrasing on Oblivion:Helping Hands to make this a little more clear. The house itself costs 25000 gold. The note on that particular page seems to be suggesting that you use Shepherd's Pies to make potions to sell, which could be a useful way to pay for upgrades. –Eshetalk 00:38, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks and apologies[edit]

Thanks for adding that header. Apologies for making extra work :S , Oh, and can I ask (very nicely) to pinch one of your userboxes? The Microsoft one, that is. —Daniellibus ETC 22:47, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Don't worry about the headers too much, I've done the same thing more times than I care to remember :). As for the Userbox, by all means, be my guest. It's actually easier to pull the code from my junbox, there's a link at the bottom of my page. Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 22:49, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Removed some vandalism[edit]

Hey Dlarsh. I just removed some vandalism on Oblivion:The Infernal City page by reverting it to the non-offensive version. Could you let me know if I handled everything correctly, or what I could do in the future aside from the bad link to the article, lol? Thank you. Irene Metrick 20:51, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

That looks good, thanks for handling it :) a summary might be appropriate in the future, but it isn't strictly necessary for something like that. As for the link, The Infernal City isn't actually in a namespace at the moment, so to link to it you would need to use ":The Infernal City", which gets you The Infernal City.
Anyway, thanks again for the help :). Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 23:11, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
