- You are mad because I prodded your new article. - Stop. This isn't the place to talk about it. Keep in mind I don't prod things for the hell of it, so be calm and put yourself in my shoes.
- You are replying to a message I left on your talk page - Don't reply here! Reply on your talk page, I'll be watching!
- You want to discuss an article - Feel free to drop a message here linking to a discussion that you have already started on that article's talk page. (Right?)

[edit] Need help to flag pages
You're marked as a mentor, so I suppose I can ask you my basic newbie questions, right? So, how do I flag a page?--Max Welrod 03:38, 7 August 2009 (UTC) (sorry, forgot to sign the first time)
- There are many different types of "flags" (templates, notices, etc.) that can be used on an article, for many different reasons. What are you wanting to flag? --GKTalk2me 03:42, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Good to see you back :)
It's good to see you back on the recent changes page on a regular basis again. I hope everything is working out for you. -Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs) 01:13, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Mazoga the Orc
According the the documentation, using 'altname=Mazoga the Orc' in the NPC summary should remove the '(person)' suffix from the category listings - I assume that was what you were trying to achieve. however, altname doesn't appear to be used at all in the NPC summary template, so it does nothing. I investigate further if I get time. --Gaebrial 07:08, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- You can't get rid of the '(person)' suffix. Categories list page names so it's always going to be present. The altname param doesn't work because I screwed up. I've added back a corrected version so it should work now. –rpeh•T•C•E• 07:54, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I wasn't thinking too straight there with the DEFAULTSORT. It wasn't entirely important, I just think it could be nice for some categories. –Elliot talk 17:52, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Unmarked Cave Revision
The door remaining locked does not necessarily imply that you will be trapped in the cave. The stone passages will not open after they have already closed when you moved through them, in essence, trapping you inside of the cave for all eternity. -- KFM
[edit] Tl Template
Thanks for fixing the {{Tl}} template docs. I'm hoping to add the other variants tomorrow. —Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 03:51, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Can you mentor me :)
I was wondering if there's a shortcut for replying to questions. For example, if the header reads Guards Fighting, in your edit summary you have to state /* Guards Fighting */ reply. Is there a shortcut for that? I'm inclined to say yes, because when I see anons doing everything wrong (no signature, no formatting etc.), they still are able in their edit summaries to specify which section they edited, which is more difficult to do than signing for example. Wolok gro-Barok->T->C->E 10:52, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
- The only way I've been able to do it is by clicking the "edit" tab to the rigtht of the section header. This brings you to to a page to edit just the section in question, rather than the whole page. It also adds the section title to your edit summary automatically. -Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs) 14:51, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Daggerfall status
My craptop crapped out after my return from the golf tourney, and so I had to spend the last few days repairing the hardware. Some data was lost, which means I need to re-write some code. I'll let you know when I'm ready. --Uniblab 21:35, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Salutations!
Joined today on account of having a relevant contribution on the Redwave page. Snagged a few of your nifty userboxes for my own user page, hope you don't mind! Ulthripe talk 12:43, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- And one of mine too, I see! No worries - userboxes were made to be stolen. ;) Welcome to UESPWiki! —Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 18:17, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hello Elliot i have a few concerns
Hi elliot, i have a few concerns because this is actually my first day of becoming a member on this website. I have used it alot in the past, and only just thought of becoming a member. This is because i have played Oblivion for years and have become very knowledgeable over the whole oblivion topic, so i am here to help.
My account name is Devilsareus, but my real name is Jack.
I see you have accomplished many things like becoming a Patroller, i too wish to accomplish something like that, from now on i will be very dedicated to this website.
I have posted my first article today about Oblivion. It's called "Money" i wish you would have a look at it and take the time to read about what i have put. Here is the link... http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Money
I'm new, as i said.
So i will come back here to see your reply tommorrow if you have one. Bearing in mind that is my first article, and it is there to help people.
Please reply ASAP i would like some tips on how to create a good article.
Devilsareus AKA Jack
[edit] Thanks for the tip ^_^
Thanks for showing me how to do that, I was wondering how you all were doing that ^_^ Thanks! works like this right? --Underboss 02:03, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yep :) –Elliot talk 02:23, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Smiley
Okay, that is one seriously annoying smiley face. It just looks way too happy, if nothing else. Just for that, I absolutely refuse to post on your talk page! Errr...wait...I am posting on your talk page, aren't I? Okay, scratch that. :Þ —Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 18:47, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, it makes me laugh so hard every time I see it and it helps to remind me why I am here (you know, for the fun and not the drama). :) –Elliot talk 20:34, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Response
By Categories you mean like the following, right?: Category:Oblivion-Armor-Gauntlets_Heavy, Category:Oblivion-Armor-Gauntlets_Light. The light one has 45 different entries, and if your character knew every item he wanted except for hand items, having every item's statistics not show up then will be very inconvenient for the character. I might just, after I finish all of them, merge them all into one big "Apparel by Body Parts" article, but it is rather difficult to find things (you must look in 11 different places to find all enchanted items]]. I was also goin to go into every magical effect page and add what all the apparel that gives such a bonus is.
What do you mean by "categories can be linked to on multiple pages, with readers being able to quickly find what they need"? Do you mean that this should become a category? Could the table with all of the items on it be in said category? Minimang 11:00, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Not-yet-broken Userbox ;)
While you're on the subject of broken userboxes (I stalk all our Patrollers' and Admins' talk pages), you might wanna adjust your {{User:Timenn/Age|1990|10|17}} link to simply {{Age|1990|10|17}}. It's not broken yet (hell, it's not even a Userbox), but it probably will be broken at some point. —Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 17:51, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] {{dm}}?
Hey Elliot, while I'm not questioning the move, I was wondering why this was necessary? Since that question was the only thing posted on that page (and was done so in error at that), wouldn't that qualify for a prod? I'm just trying to get an idea of what to do in the future. Thanks in advance. Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 23:57, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well, the question isn't vandalism, so a prod really isn't necessary. And, if that person were to come back and find his question deleted (since he may not know that you moved it), he would just create it again. So it s best to guide them to where it was moved. –Elliot talk 00:00, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I think it would be better to leave a message on the person's talk page and delete the article talk page. Nobody else is going to need the reminder that the discussion was moved, and leaving a message for the user is more likely to get his/her attention. –Eshetalk 00:04, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Both points make perfect sense, thanks fo the responses. By the way Elliot, is the smiley supposed to follow me as I scroll up and down your talk page? It does at home, but it just sits in the lower left corner of your "Why are you here?" box when I'm using my pathetic work monitor. Just curious :) Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 03:52, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Happy Birthday!
Guess the subject line says it all really. :) Hope you have a good one! —Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 09:19, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
And then there was cake (be sure to share) :P Happy b-day! Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 16:08, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- Happy birthday Elliot!! Two more years and you will be able to drink legally... XD --SerCenKing Talk 17:53, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Please help!
I have finished all of the oblivion gates in Oblivion 4 for Xbox 360. I now have done the vampire quest but skingrad won't let me finish. I now ask Hal-Liurz in the castle and she says the count will be with me...he never comes. When i find him behind locked doors he tells me to close the oblivion gate outside of skingrad before he can give assistance. I have already closed it and can go no further with the main quest. I reinstalled the expansion and that did not help. I also have all of the updates. Anyone else have this problem or know how to solve it? thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.66.95.62 (talk • contribs) on 21 October, 2009.
- To get the help from the different cities is entirely optional. So, if Skingrad is being such a problem, I recommend just skipping it. It might make the Battle for Bruma slightly harder, but you can still finish the Main Quest. Good luck! –Elliot talk 09:30, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Okay, that's enough.
Since this page seems to be the center of attention, I'm going to post here. All of you, stop, please. While the original post may not have been the most friendly we've ever seen, this edit war is absolutely absurd and I would expect better from all involved. So everyone please stop with the reverting and the sarcastic edit summaries, please, and discuss this like decent human beings. –Eshetalk 21:58, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
- Fine. I'm quite in favour of that. I would like to know why Elliot is changing the pages affected by his changes to the Chart subtemplates rather than fixing the underlying problem. That's all. 87.118.101.175 22:00, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
