You said I vandalized a page on Oblivion Gates[edit]

I don't know what I did... I never even visited that page. I'm new to this site, and I don't even have an account. Honest, the only pages I was on were pages about the shivering ilses. I'm sorry for the inconvinience — Unsigned comment by 205.188.116.78 (talk) on 1 September 2008

I'm guessing you're talking about this message? In which case, it might also be worth noting that it's a message that was posted on June 12th. And that at the bottom of the page, it states:
This is a discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account and must be identified by their IP address. IP addresses can be shared by several users and can change periodically. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
In other words, the message was not directed at you, but at someone else who, months ago, happened to be given the same IP address by AOL. As the notice says, if you want to avoid seeing messages intended for other anonymous users, the best way to do that is by creating an account. --NepheleTalk 17:03, 5 September 2008 (EDT)

Thanks for all your help[edit]

Hey man thanks for all your help. And sorry for the duplicated posts, it's caused by my wireless LAN card constantly searching for a faster connection. And my official one is encrypted (slow) while others not, so often data gets lost while I'm typing or trying to submit resulting in duplicated posts or repeated commented. My bad. — Unsigned comment by Webdemon00 (talkcontribs) on 9. September 2008

You're welcome... although I'm not exactly sure what this is about. If it's because of this edit that I made to your talk page, the edit summary was directed at the editor whose post I was deleting, not at you. Dcz had previously posted the exact same question and I'd answered it, so spamming the question on multiple editors' talk pages seemed inappropriate. --NepheleTalk 20:27, 10 September 2008 (EDT)

vandals[edit]

i would like to call to your attention some racist vandalism on the redgaurd (race) pages i do not recall the previous contents and am currently on a tight schedule and am unable to change it myself — Unsigned comment by Red Scourge (talkcontribs) on 9 September 2008

Thanks for the alert. The page has been reverted and the editor warned. --NepheleTalk 20:23, 10 September 2008 (EDT)

Redirects[edit]

Hi,

While going through Special:Listredirects, I've noticed a lot of redirects that exist soley as navigational aids. An example is Oblivion:Three Sisters Inn redirecting to Oblivion:Three Sisters' Inn; it exists so that if a person types "three sisters inn" into the searchbox, they will be redirected to the correct page. I think a category should be created for these redirects, but can't think of an appropriate name or description. One idea I had was Category:Navigational Aids, but a better name could probably be thought of. Any ideas? - Game LordTalk|Contribs 12:36, 15 September 2008 (EDT)

I'm not sure I see the distinction you're making. Nearly every redirect is essentially a navigational aid. In the specific example you provided, both names exist because both names are used in game: the main cell and the basement use the spelling "Three Sisters' Inn" but several dialogues use the spelling "Three Sisters Inn". The Redirects from Alternate Names category has been used in most other such cases, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work here, too. --NepheleTalk 13:44, 15 September 2008 (EDT)

deletion of a userpage[edit]

I have a question concerning one of my userpages. I wonder... if I would like to delete one of my userpages, should I add {{speed}} or {{prod}} to the page I want to delete. -Goblin lair Talk

Add {{speed}} and an administrator will delete it as soon as possible. –RpehTCE 13:06, 16 September 2008 (EDT)
Ok, thanks! -Goblin lair 19:59, 16 September 2008

OPRP[edit]

I am interested in the Oblivion places redisign project, and was wondering if you could tell me how to add my name to the list, like the people before me. Sorry I'm a noob, but I really wanted to work on the redisigning Necromancer and Conjurer pages, could you aslo give me a few tips on that? Also, on a page, how do i say that I've verified something, and how can I easily edit a map? Can'treadtheElderScrolls 18:36, 20 September 2008 (EDT)

For the OPRP, just add yourself to the participants list.
If you want to verify something, normally you can just remove the VN tag, and leave an explanation on the page. If the explanation is more substantial, put it on the talk page.
For maps do you mean the interactive maps? Or the image maps? - Game LordTalk|Contribs 14:41, 22 September 2008 (EDT)

Signature problems[edit]

My signature (using ~~~~) doesn't seem to work normally; it doesn't link to my page and all the rest. Any idea what's causing this? Thanks! (by the way, I think you should archive this page. It's reached 56 kb.!)--LordDagon 12:33, 22 September 2008 (EDT)

See? It doesn't link anywhere. Guessing this one won't do anything either.--LordDagon 12:33, 22 September 2008 (EDT)
I'm guessing you have the "Raw Signatures" option checked in your Preferences page. If you do, you need to add the link manually. –RpehTCE 13:03, 22 September 2008 (EDT)
Have you typed anything into your signature box in preferences? If so, then did you type "LordDagon" or "[[User:LordDagon|LordDagon]]"? If you typed the former, make sure the "Raw Signature" box is unchecked. If you typed the latter, make sure the "Raw Signature" box is checked.
If you didn't type anything in there at all, do so. Hope that fixes it. - Game LordTalk|Contribs 13:04, 22 September 2008 (EDT)

Ok, I've unchecked "Raw signatures". Let's see what this 'll do... (sorry for the quite late response by the way)--LordDagon 11:39, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

OK. Back on line! Thanks. I honestly can't remeber ever changing anything there. --LordDagonT|C 11:46, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

uespmail[edit]

Did you receive any uesp emails from me a while back? I said nothing that particularly needed a quick response, I'm just curious because Eshe never got back to me either.Temple-Zero 20:27, 24 September 2008 (EDT)

Oh, well...[edit]

I have to admit, I was hoping for a moment that you'd be back again! I'm glad you'll be around at least a little. Can't wait to have you back on a more regular basis! --GuildKnightTalk2me 00:25, 27 September 2008 (EDT)

Block request[edit]

While you're at it, can you put a temp block on 71.233.200.221? Thanks. PS: I archived AN Archive 9 (as I'm sure you've noticed...). PSS: What does the "invert selection" checkbox on the RC do? I though it would change the order of the edits from recent-est first to last first, but it didn't work that way. Vesna 21:19, 29 September 2008 (EDT)

I can answer that last question, at least. Invert Selection causes it to show you everything but the category you've selected. So if you've selected "Oblivion Talk" in the drop-down box and then you invert it, it'll show you everything except Oblivion Talk pages. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 21:25, 29 September 2008 (EDT)
How did you know that I selected the "Oblivion Talk" section 8O??? Jk. Thanks for clearing that up. Vesna 21:29, 29 September 2008 (EDT)
Block done. Sorry I didn't notice it sooner. And thanks for the archiving! --NepheleTalk 22:33, 29 September 2008 (EDT)
