Welcome[edit]

Hello Skyrimplayer! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you would like to spice up your userpage, click here for a list of userboxes you can use, including a guide to making your own.

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! —The Silencer speaksTalk 18:14, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Skyrimplayer, please check over the etiquette policy. "Someone should check this out and maybe we can figure out a solution to fix this.Oh here's one!Don't kill Farwill!Pure genius.Woo Hoo!Oh and please sign your comments.Thank you.You should leave.I'm getting hungry, you won't like me when i'm hungry.Oh and did I mention that I'm turning green?" is not a very polite comment, telling someone to not do something with a sarcastic stone; it does nothing to aid the issue. Additionally, the "hungry" and "green" comments are completely unrelated; the talk pages are for discussing bugs or article content, not for nonsensical phrases.
Telling an anonymous user to sign pages is unnecessary as well; if they consistently do not sign pages, posting such information on their talk page is allowed, though is preferred within a few hours of the post due to the fact that IP addresses change frequently.
Also, replying to conversations that are three to four years old (and thus considered "dead") does little to aid the wiki. Unless you have new information on such an issue, please do not reply to such conversations. Vely►Talk►Email 02:10, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Sorry I'll avoid this in the future.Thank you for the tip.--Skyrimplayer 02:23, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Hi there Skyrimplayer. I just saw a post from you on MinorEdits' talk page about someone removing your contents because they're "useless" and I wanted to apologize in case it was this edit you were referring to. I did not mean to offend you, and definitely would not call your efforts useless! However, as Vely pointed out above, telling anonymous users to sign their comments (especially comments from over a year ago) isn't necessary, and usually won't be seen by them anyway. Also, responding to posts from years ago generally isn't done unless it contributes significant new information. I didn't mean to discourage you at all, and I had already seen your response to Vely above, so I thought you would understand why those edits were reverted. Also, if you're looking for new questions to answer, try looking at questions from this year. For example, May, April, or March. There are also a lot of stubs for both Skyrim and Oblivion which could use help with information. :) ABCface 20:47, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh no!I see I've caused a little misunderstanding.I'm just not very good with wording! No,I'm not offended in any way, shape,or form!I just have been trying to answer a few questions on the Unanswered questions list, they were both asked during this year,so I'm trying to stick with what Vely said about old discussions.Again,I'm sorry that my poor sentence structure caused this. You have my Apology ABCface,(snicker).--Skyrimplayer 20:52, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Don't worry about it. :) I wasn't sure if you were referring to my edit or something else, I just wanted to make sure just in case. Trust me, there are A LOT of unanswered questions on the site, so your help is appreciated. I'd rather not offend anyone unnecessarily, so I wanted to make sure. :) ABCface 20:54, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

It's alright,(sigh)I'd typed a whole big thing about your comment about helping out with descriptions of Skyrim and Oblivion pages, but somehow my post didn't show up,while heres the gist of it:I know a bit about Skyrim, but I pride myself in my knowledge of Oblivion,I've even been taking generic NPCs like the Adventurer and spawning them in Battlehorn Castle and Renaming and giving new equipment to them.Yep.it sure was a lot longer.Oh,well thats what I get for being a nerd!--Skyrimplayer 21:02, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Oh yeah!How do you make that smiley face?Help me!I'm dying here!--Skyrimplayer 21:07, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

() Well, if you are especially interested in Oblivion, you could check out these project pages. I'm not sure what still needs done, but you should find relevant information on the links provided. Oblivion NPC Redesign Project, the Oblivion Places Redesign Project, and Shivering Isles Redesign Project. As for the smiley face, it only shows up as text on my screen, so if it shows up as an image on yours I'm not sure how :P -ABCface 21:09, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks!I'll do that.Do you know if there is a mod that makes the NPCs in Morrowind voiced?I don't care if they're all done by a dog!I'm just bored of reading all these text boxes. It takes an element of realism from the game.--Skyrimplayer 21:14, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't know anything about mods because I play on XBox. ABCface 21:20, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Here is a description for such a mod that may or may not still be in-progress. Here is the download link. Only some characters are voiced, but many of them are related to the main quest. I have not used the mod, myself. Vely►t►e 21:23, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you Vely, you have my eternal gratitude. Finally,I will be able to enjoy this great game!--Skyrimplayer 21:29, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Enchiladas[edit]

Hello and welcome! I just wanted to say that we now have an enchilada prize template. If you want to use it, just type the following:

{{Enchilada|message=Put your message here!}}

That would end up looking like this:

Enchilada.jpg

You have been given an enchilada!

Your dedication and diligence to the wiki has not gone unnoticed. A user has seen the progress you've made, and has given you a fully cooked enchilada because of it. Good work! The user had the following to say:

Put your message here!

Hope you have fun editing the wiki! Vely►Talk►Email 01:36, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks! someone send this to Minor Edits:--Skyrimplayer 01:48, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
You are free to add it to his talk page yourself, with your own customized message :) Vely►Talk►Email 01:52, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Excuse me, but the Enchilada just shows up as a red link on Minor Edit's talk page.--Skyrimplayer 02:27, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Never mind, the enchilada has shown up on his page, sorry to bother you.--Skyrimplayer 02:31, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Formatting[edit]

Hey Welcome to the wiki. I know ou have only been here for today but you've made alot of edits so far. Noticably you have made quite a few to talk pages. That's absolutly fine but I've noticed you are not formatting properly. When replying to a comment in talk, you need to indent the comment. To do this type one more colon then he previous comment. For example if you wanted to reply to this comment on this page you would type a colon and then your comment I would proceed to type two colons for my reply and so on. Just a friendly note so you don't make the mistake in the future. --Enriquevv75 01:37, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Like this--Skyrimplayer 01:43, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Actually the colons go before the comment. I altered your comment to reflect this. --Enriquevv75 01:48, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

I have finally found out of to make that smiley face. You just type a colon and a parentheses like this :).I'm glad I found out how to do this! And it's all thanks to you!--Skyrimplayer 21:45, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Description for Lowlifes[edit]

I am currently endeavoring to add a description to the Lowlifes in the Ratway.I'm new here so I'll need the help of others.Feel free to edit the page.Just do not post anything untrue about Lowlifes.Thank you.--Skyrimplayer 22:44, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

I can't see anything from anyone else here so I'll post a description.

I believe lowlifes in the ratway to be poor or medically unstable and insecure unfortunate people.

They almost always attack on sight, apart from in the case of

Salvianus

Hefid the Deaf (needs confirmation as this might be Esbern)

Two problems. One,the lowlifes I'm talking about are not named.Second,I really don't think we need to list their medical conditions. The Lowlife page is alright for now.Sorry.Try people in small towns, and add their inventory.Check the CSlist first.--Skyrimplayer 21:13, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
(it's cool. I just like to add their madness problems. And I though that was what you meant. Sorry

Image Uploading[edit]

I noticed that you've been looking for a way to upload screenshots you took on Steam. First, you need to locate the images on your computer (Steam's Screenshots tab should have a button which will show you where they are being stored locally). Once you have the image, you can upload it to the wiki here. The image will likely need to be cropped as well, but someone else can do that if you don't know how. Make sure that the game's interface is turned off when taking screenshots (use the tm console command). —Legoless 18:50, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks!I'll do that. There is one problem though, I can't seem to get into Test Hall Alan.Do you have any suggestions for where I could take a screenshot of Kill Me?--Skyrimplayer 22:37, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Did you try coc TestAlan? I can't imagine why it wouldn't work. —Legoless 01:13, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
I believe I did that. The odd thing is that it did not give me an error message.I'll try again as soon as I can.--Skyrimplayer 01:18, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
I finally got there!I'm taking the screenshot now!--Skyrimplayer 02:08, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Show Preview[edit]

Please use the "Show Preview" button to check your edit before clicking on "Save Page". You recently saved 11 changes to Minor Edits talk page, all of them trying to ask the same question. Each one of those saved edits shows up on the Recent Changes page, and has to be checked by a patroller. If you write your edit, then click "Show Preview", it will give you a chance to look it over and make any adjustments before you save it. Thanks, and happy editing! --XyzzyTalk 17:47, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about that.I've been trying to get into the habit of using show preview.I guess I clicked on the save page button to many times.--Skyrimplayer 18:15, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Welcoming newbies[edit]

Just one little thing you're forgetting to do when welcoming new users - you need to put something in the subject line when you do that. Generally just "Welcome" will do. The reason for this is that if you don't, the subject line reads with Created page with 'Hello {{subst:PAGENAME}}..., so it's obviously a form letter. Nothing says "You're just a number to us" like seeing what is essentially a fill-in-the-blank form on their welcome message. It's minor, but it makes our standard form letter seem somewhat less like a standard form letter. --TheRealLurlock Talk 13:53, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Ok.Thanks TRL.--Skyrimplayer 13:56, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Creature Combat Strategies[edit]

I'm making a sandbox with strategies for fighting monsters.Feel free to correct any spelling or grammer errors on the page,or suggest an idea on the talk page.Thank you.--Skyrimplayer 23:04, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Question[edit]

Can I nominate you to be a patroller?

You pretty much do their jobs anyway, so you deserve it.

Please reply ASAP.

Oh no.I don't do their jobs.I don't think I'm ready for that kind of responsibility.I'm still learning. The patrollers jobs are much harder than the average editor's.--Skyrimplayer 21:15, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Ok. I just wanted to let you know that I think you could do it.

I don't even think we HAVE jobs.

Thank you.--Skyrimplayer 21:20, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Oh and by the way, I think the little discussion at the top of this page is hilarious!

Okay, I’ll just say this once, and it is mainly aimed at Jamie; if you want to chat, use the IRC, e-mail or the forums. All these edits has to be patrolled, and, while it is perfectly okay to have a bit of fun with some personal messages on talk pages, I gets old really fast when you’re a patroller and have to read through tons of chat-like messages. Please keep this in mind from now on. --Krusty 21:29, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

I've got one question.

When I submit on a forum, i can't find my submission anywhere on the page.

Do you happen to know why?

No,I have no idea.All I can tell you is to contact a mentor.--Skyrimplayer 22:11, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

- There's no rule against talking on my page is there? Especially if nothing else works.

Not if you're asking a question related to the site. But like I said I would contact a mentor if you have questions.--Skyrimplayer 22:14, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Oh, yeah sorry...

I AM asking you a lot of questions, aren't I?

Oops.

Please slow down, you are making a lot of red marks for me.--Br3admax 22:19, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Advice[edit]

When unsure of an edit, please don't assume it is vandalism as you did here. This was a perfectly fine edit, and it was not vandalism (proto simply means "earliest form of"). As a general reminder, you should always Assume Good Faith. If you aren't sure about it, it's best not to call it vandalism. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 22:53, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about that. And by the way did you try to post this earlier?Because I got a "new messages" banner, but when I checked my talk page there was nothing there.Again sorry about that.--Skyrimplayer 23:16, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that's up to the Aminastrators.I'm not sure.--Skyrimplayer 21:51, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Jamie the Dark Elf 21:53, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

By the way I have 4% charge left on my iPad.

<Jamie the Dark Elf 21:55, 15 August 2012 (UTC)>
As stated on the top of the edit page, this page is intended to let users leave a message about wiki business. It is not meant for general chat. Please use another form of communication if you just want to chat. The reason for this is to limit the amount of changes that have to be patrolled and to limit the amount of changes listed on the Recent Changes page. Also, the forums and IRC can be found in the sidebar on the left. -CoolGamer 22:10, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
I get this every day and I have to explain it so many times.
I am trying to get onto the forums and IRC as I am having problems and it's getting really annoying when I get critisicm.

I'm just fed up.

Sorry to jump in here on your talk page, Skyrimplayer. We got the forum registration sorted out on Jamie's talk page, so that is taken care of now.
As for the IRC, Jamie, you can use the browser java client by clicking this link. You will need to have a Java plug-in installed in your browser-- if you don't, clicking that link should tell you that, and you can install it by following the links/instructions listed. If you do get in the chatroom, keep in mind that even though it looks like many users are in the room, a lot of people aren't actually active in there all the time. So if you ask a question, be sure to wait a little bit for a response if no one answers right away. I hope this helps you, if you have any more questions just ask. Prizes[edit]

I noticed you tried to give Vulpa an Adoring Fan here. If you wish to give a prize that does not have a template you could use the {{Prize}} template. There does not seem to be instructions with the template so i'll give an example using the Adoring Fan you tried to give!

{{Prize|width=250|image=[[File:OB-npc-Adoring Fan.jpg|200px]]|bdcolor=Magenta|bgcolor=Yellow|title=You have been given an Adoring Fan!|message=I love your Thadon joke. So here's a fan for you and a reference. "I'll follow you until you love me.Homi.Homicidal champion."}}

Unsigned template[edit]

It's probably best if you add the time to the unsigned template so that people can see when a conversation was from. If not the exact time of day, then at least the month, day, and year. With {{uns2}}, it's really easy to do--you just copy the name and time from the history of the page and add in pipes. Vely►t►e 00:35, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Easter Egg discussion[edit]

When addressing proposals for additions to the egg page, it's important to explain your position. Comments like this should be fleshed out with explanations as to WHY it doesn't belong on the page. Even just saying "I think it's a coincidence" is more helpful than shutting it down without providing a reason. Although it is true that most of the proposals to that page are rejected for being judged coincidental, that one seemed legitimate enough to me, as it really does appear to be a Mythic Dawn banner.

That being said, I don't think the banner conclusively proves that Harkon has connections to the Mythic Dawn. I find it more likely that it's supposed to be a basic depiction of the sun, signifying his obsession with the Tyranny of the Sun prophecy, and that the developers wanted to save time by using a pre-existing object in the game's code rather than designing a new one. ThuumofReason 20:19, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Ah.Sorry about that.I had had to leave to do something.I could'nt type anything more.I quickly finished what I had to do.But the conversation slipped my mind.--Skyrimplayer 20:36, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
I hate to nitpick, especially over such a small thing, but I just want to point out that you probably shouldn't chastise someone for something that you do too, Thuum. I could probably find many more instances. Short, simple answers are a thing that we all give. While an explanation to your opinion helps your case, it's in no way explicitly stated that you need a legitimate reason stated for why you disagree when you're giving an opinion on that page (or any page). Just wanted to give a quick opinion. ES(talkemail) 21:45, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Minor grammar issue[edit]

Hello Skyrimplayer, it's Jak Atackka. I know we don't really talk much, so I don't want to sound rude and impolite when I say this. I'm a Patroller, so I've been watching your recent edits, and although they are good quality edits, you have a particular grammar problem that holds them back.

Punctuation does not take the place of a space, so if you type a comma, you need to type a space after it. Same goes with periods. It also holds true for colons: semicolons; ellipsis... (and parentheses).

Again, you make great edits, but you need to use proper (American) grammar, as those are our site's guidelines, and following them makes the jobs of us Patrollers that much easier. Thank you! • JAT 01:51, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for informing me! I'm always welcoming to advice. And sorry to be off topic , but on the child talk page there seems to be a repeat of a recently deleted forum like post. Any recomandations on how to deal with it?

Mud Crabs[edit]

A minor distinction, but the creatures are spelled "Mud Crabs" in Oblivion. I'm not sure how prolific the alternate "Mudcrab" is on Oblivion articles, but I'd recommend changing them to the correct creature name whenever you see it. —Legoless (talk) 19:01, 23 October 2012 (GMT)

NewLefts[edit]

Hey there, Skyrimplayer! I happened to notice something you've done a couple times that I thought I'd mention- when you add a {{NewLeft}} to an article, you don't usually need to add one again for a separate section later (like you did here). The top one is usually all that's needed, and the second one is an 'extra' which doesn't effectively do anything on an article like that. It's not a big deal, but it will save ya some work to only type it out once instead of twice. :) And you've been doing a great job with lots of little edits around the wiki, so keep up the good work! — ABCface 01:02, 24 October 2012 (GMT)

Ah, thanks ABCface! I'd thought each section would required it's own. Thanks again!--Skyrimplayer (talk) 01:07, 24 October 2012 (GMT)

About the Frost Salts[edit]

Hi, Skyrimplayer! I saw you tweaked the section placement of the Frost Salts, but I wanted to say that I did that before to give consistence to all the ingredients pages, by puting them like this: 1. Ingredients / 2. Sources / 3. Notes / 4. Other Uses / 5. Related Quests. What do you think? If you have suggestions, I'll glady hear them and we can work together! (and by the way, thank you for the welcome message!) :D Audrey Gally talk 00:31, 8 November 2012 (GMT)

Hmmm...Well for the NPC pages, we usually keep them as 1. Main Article, 2.Related Quests, 3.Notes, and 4. Bugs. I considered Ingredients, Sources, and Other Uses as part of the main article, and just arranged the RQ before the Notes. And looking at this page, we want Related Quests after the Other uses. So how about we do it like that, with Notes on the bottom?--Skyrimplayer (talk) 00:48, 8 November 2012 (GMT)
Sure! (also, I should have consulted the npc pages first, ups) Then, it will be like this, right? "1. Ingredients / 2. Sources / 3. Other Uses / 4. Related Quests / 5. Notes / 6. Bugs" I'm just finishing some minor edits with the ingredients, and I'll make those changes as soon as I can :D Best Regards! Audrey Gally talk 01:01, 8 November 2012 (GMT)
Hey Skyrimplayer. Since you and Audrey were the ones who brought up the topic, can I have your input on the matter here? Thanks. ~ Psylocke 04:31, 9 November 2012 (GMT)

Ahh, sorry. I'll stop.--Skyrimplayer (talk) 15:05, 22 November 2012 (GMT)

Userspace Patroller[edit]

Hiya Skyrimplayer! I've just gone ahead and promoted you to userspace patroller, as requested :). Welcome aboard! eshetalk 19:24, 24 November 2012 (GMT)

Congratulations, SP, what did I say? Now the real competition starts. Welcome to the group.--Br3admax (talk) 19:27, 24 November 2012 (GMT)
Thanks, guys!--Skyrimplayer (talk) 19:41, 24 November 2012 (GMT)

Effe-Tei[edit]

Before I tick the little patrol button, I thought I should ask, why did you remove the gender of Effe-Tei? Redundancy, poorer sentence structure, his gender's in doubt? — Unsigned comment by Minor Edits (talkcontribs) at 02:07 on 14 December 2012‎

See this and this discussion. — ABCface 02:14, 14 December 2012 (GMT)
Thanks! Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 04:57, 14 December 2012 (GMT)

Neloth[edit]

It's the same person as Morrowind. There is no doubt about it. Master Telvanni wizard, knew the Nerevarine (the player from morrowind), same name. It's the same person. Jeancey (talk) 04:27, 14 December 2012 (GMT)

Ahhh....I see now. Thanks!--Skyrimplayer (talk) 04:28, 14 December 2012 (GMT)

Dialog(ue)[edit]

You are of course right about "dialogue" being allowed here, and my correction was unnecessary here — just as unnecessary as JCsquared's correction was, according to the same reference: "There should be no need to correct either spelling of this word, except to provide consistency within a single article." ;-D

So here I learned something new about US English, then. I thought it was more consistent on this. —MortenOSlash (talk) 21:02, 26 December 2012 (GMT)

Race of children[edit]

Really? Is there any evidence of that in the games? From what I can tell, everyone with kids are the same race as those children. The only exception to that is elders, as their race is unknown (in terms of game data). Jeancey (talk) 20:56, 28 December 2012 (GMT)

Yes, there is evidence for it inside Racial Phylogeny.--Skyrimplayer (talk) 20:59, 28 December 2012 (GMT)

Broken faction template[edit]

Any idea what broke the template in the first place? It used to work, and it would redirect to the correct category if you used the number. Any idea what happened? (I'm also taking a break from changing them for the moment... getting a little burned out :P) Jeancey (talk) 23:45, 7 January 2013 (GMT)

No. I don't really have any ideas why it would stop working. I'm hopeless when it comes to templates.<_> My best guess, though is that maybe one of the recent upgrades messed it up.--Skyrimplayer (talk) 23:53, 7 January 2013 (GMT)

Shrine image[edit]

Hey, sorry about that. I was filling out the shrine page, and I moved the image before i finished. :) It should all be updated now. Jeancey (talk) 17:45, 10 January 2013 (GMT)

Thank You[edit]

For putting the sentence out of its misery here. Well-written! --JR (talk) 16:27, 13 January 2013 (GMT)

Thanks, JR!(:--Skyrimplayer (talk) 18:11, 13 January 2013 (GMT)

Patrolling talkpages[edit]

A late congrats from me, Skyrimplayer! Just a heads up though. I noticed you've been patrolling talk pages as patrolled before a response could be given to the questions. Here are two examples. It's not really a big deal, but it's easier for other patrollers to get a look at a question and give a response if the edit is left unpatrolled for them to easily look at. Otherwise, it's going to be assumed that the edit doesn't need a review, and that question could go ignored. Here are the guidelines for questions. Have a nice day. ES(talkemail) 00:44, 10 February 2013 (GMT)

Hey Snowmane, I was feeding Skyrimplayer a cookie (see below), and I saw this message from you. I think I have been guilty of doing this as well at some point. Thanks for the reminder, useful to know. Darictalk 12:00, 20 March 2013 (GMT)

Whack-a-mole[edit]

Choco chip cookie.png
You have been given a cookie!

Your dedication and diligence to the wiki has not gone unnoticed. A user has seen the progress you've made, and has given you a cookie because of it. Good work! The user had the following to say:

Your {{speedier|spam}} is much speedier than mine! You've been playing a great game of "whack-a-mole", and you deserve a cookie for it. When I see your first spam catch each night, I now know that I can leave them in good hands. Darictalk 11:10, 20 March 2013 (GMT)
"The creator is known as xxxxx xxxxxxxx. To cook is a person of the things he loves most. For a whilst he is been in Oklahoma and he will never shift. Meter studying is what he does. Verify out his web site below."

OMG! What are these people (or is it just a single person) on? Darictalk
Heh heh, thanks Daric. For the record, the spammers are mostly bots, which kind of explains the idiotic sentences.(:--Skyrimplayer (talk) 11:29, 20 March 2013 (GMT)
Ah, darn robots, they should at least learn to speak English properly! As something more practical than just a cookie, I'd like to offer you this. It might be useful to you when perusing the Recent Changes. It is a tool that I rely on to help me quickly identify when you have beaten me to marking an edit as spam. Enjoy. Image Requests[edit]

Hiya Skyrimplayer! I just wanted to send you a quick reminder to remove your completed image requests from the Image Requests page since you have already put the one you want in your sandbox and marked the other two for deletion. Thanks! — ABCface 20:19, 8 June 2013 (GMT)

Ah, thanks for the reminder ABC! I'd nearly forgotten. I've removed the finished requests.--Skyrimplayer (talk) 01:58, 10 June 2013 (GMT)
No problem! I wasn't sure if you were waiting for the last one or just didn't think about it, but that page gets to be pretty full sometimes lately, so if we can clean it up as we go, it makes it a little less cluttered and easier to use. Thanks, and no worries! :) — ABCface 02:07, 10 June 2013 (GMT)

Email Contact[edit]

Do you have an email I can contact you at? If you don't wish to set it in your Wiki preferences or show it here you can contact me directly....thanks! -- Daveh (talk) 17:31, 19 November 2013 (GMT)

Thank you![edit]

I see you returned quite recently and I am really glad you did. We probably haven't talked with each other before, but I'd like to thank you for all the great cleanup work you have been doing these past couple of weeks. You are basically already doing patroller work when we are sleeping on the job. --Ilaro (talk) 10:58, 26 January 2019 (UTC)

No problem. I had been looking for something to keep me occupied, and it's fun to work on the wiki again. --Rook (talk) 00:29, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

Undo edit[edit]

Well... that was embarrassing. Just assumed that the anon was adding that "hi" without really thinking too much about it. Great start of my admin career! --Ilaro (talk) 14:02, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Congratulations![edit]

Per your successful nomination, you are now a patroller! With this comes the ability to patrol edits in a much wider area of the site. Consider reviewing Patrolling Guidelines for how to patrol. You may also now add the User Patroller userbox to your userpage. Congratulations, once again! --AKB Talk Cont Mail 13:21, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Congrats!!! I know you already had some red exclamation marks, but welcome to the increase! :) Jeancey (talk) 18:22, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks! I appreciate the congratulations from both of you.--Rook (talk) 19:16, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Removal of "modern" Unofficial FAQ[edit]

I've actually spent a lot of time to ensure that the information on that page was (or is now) incorporated in to the appropriate wiki pages. It wasn't my intention to remove an easily accessible chunk of information, but now it's redundant. The overwhelmingly vast amount of the information is still located in the original FAQ. The majority of new information was for the most part grammar, with a very small percentage of new information. And it seems what was "new" information was already on the main wiki. Is it a problem for me to leave it? Not really. These are my opinions. If you can show me any information in the FAQ that needs to be (or isn't) in the wiki, please let me know. I'd be happy to try and create a space for that. This was my intention. Please see the Discussion page; https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Arena_talk:Unofficial_FAQ and the note I placed on the forum pages; https://forums.uesp.net/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=41102 , and let me know your thoughts. --Satribe (talk) 20:01, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

You have clearly given a lot of thought to this topic, and I was not aware that you have been planning this move for so long. There is the possibility of proposing the modern FAQ for deletion if you truly think that the page is redundant. However, while the page still exists, I see no point in removing it from Arena's main page. I would personally be inclined to keep the page permanently, but I have never played Arena and likely wouldn't insert myself into a conversation about its deletion. For the record, you're doing great work on the Arena namespace as a whole. Keep it up!--Rook (talk) 20:14, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. There are many reasons I felt this page needed addressed, which is why I decided to make it my responsibility and begin edits. There's the slow death method, of noting and removing redundant information; the undesired method of fixing the page until it becomes the wiki (This page is the original wiki); and the method I chose of both preserve and disperse. How do you propose a page for deletion? There's always the option of moving the link to the Historical Unofficial Page, to reduce redundancy and confusion, while preserving the history. --Satribe (talk) 12:14, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
