[edit] Archive
How do you get a Archive as you are not speaking to me in lesson.
i cant see how this is getting on your nerves. someone is asking for advice, your a mentor and you are saying someone needing help is geting on your nerves. some mentor you are. HMS WARSPITE 04:51, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
- Considering you're sitting right next to me and constantly take the mick out of me, i don't see why i should answer any of your questions Volanaro 04:55, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
- well i will speak to rpeh about this matter. Benny220 04:57, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
[edit] I can imagine what the answer will be (Oh dear!)...
Just thought I should say a couple of things.
1) Could you please keep personal matters outside of the site. (And I'm not just talking to you...)
2) Volonaro, just because of things that are happening outside the site, doesn't mean you have to leave!
Please don't feel offended or upset by anything I've said here! --Odd.bod 09:36, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
- As it happens, the stuff i was talking about was concerning persistent vandalism by both those users, not personal issues also i'm just giving things a chance to calm down over the next few days in the hope that they will lose interest. --Volanaro 14:24, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
- volanaro mate. We are not going to be giving up this site just because you are not going to be online. You think we are fools. If you do not go on my and HMS_WARSPITE are still going to be coming online. Benny220 14:39, 1 April 2008 (EDT)

- I do apolagize if I've interfeared in something that I shouldn't have. I just think that if Benny220 and the other person don't like you, then they should just stay away. Just a thought. --Odd.bod 06:20, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

(Outdent) I had no idea he used to be a vandal. I don't even think he's actually improved very much. He treats this site like a chat room, which helps nobody. And if he doesn't regret it, then maybe we should keep an eye fixed on his edits (and his scheming bread). --HMSVictory 11:00, 13 April 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Seach
Hello,
I just saw your comment about whether the seach system would still work. The answer is yes, both in theory and in practice. If you seach, for example, "Skyrim", the automatic page opener will open the redirect page [[:Skyrim]], but the redirect will simply move you on to Tamriel:Skyrim. Hope that clears your conscience :) - Game LordTalk|Contribs 11:56, 10 April 2008 (EDT)
- "Breathing out with a sigh of relief" thanks for that! --Volanaro 11:57, 10 April 2008 (EDT)
- Hmm perhaps not, Rpeh just proposed most of them for deletion! Volanaro 12:00, 10 April 2008 (EDT)
- you make me laugh,'Breathing out with a sigh of relief' like this is serious. joking joe. y werent you doing i.t today
- God if you havent got anything useful to say then leave me alone, i'm busy with other stuff at the moment. --Volanaro 12:06, 10 April 2008 (EDT)
- The reason it interferes with the site's search system is that a redirect in the main namespace takes priority over all other pages on the site. If you type an article name in the search box and click "go" it will always take you to that article in the main namespace, even if that's not the article you want. So if we wanted to create a Bloodmoon-specific article on Skyrim, that article would be ignored even if you were starting from another Bloodmoon article. You would always be taken to the redirected Tamriel article. Without the main namespace redirect, you still get taken to the Tamriel article if it's the appropriate article; but you have the extra flexibility of going to a game-specific article whenever it's more appropriate. So the redirect doesn't add any functionality; it just gets in the way. --NepheleTalk 14:19, 19 April 2008 (EDT)

Isn't Volanaro a High Elf? Just wondering as you said you look a little like him! (Does that mean you're rather tall, and have pointy ears, and dress in those green clothes? Just kidding!) --Odd.bod 09:17, 11 April 2008 (EDT)

I dont think that user wasn't disrupting the link by accident, they took the Madgod's Boot link & made i look like this (without brackets) Shivering:*****Madgod's Boot|Madgod's Boot

[edit] Fanfiction Character
Volanaro, as one of editors of this site who i find to be trustworthy and respectful, I am offering you a chance to have a character request in my new Fancfiction project, Rise and Fall (details here) I am only offering this to a few users, and you have been selected! (how corny was that?) Anyway, if you would like me to add your character idea to the story, just let me know. I'm currently in the planning stages, so there's plenty of time. --HMSVictoryTalk 11:46, 20 April 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Recent Edits
Hi Volanaro! Thanks for all the time you put into the site, and thanks for your interest in trying to help improve the site. I realize that your only intention is to help the site. However, you are occasionally a bit, let's say, overly zealous about trying to help. Perhaps it would help if you kept in mind that the most important resource on the site is ultimately the community of editors. Jumping too quickly on undoing an edit hurts the site if in the process it alienates a prospective new editor. Jumping to warn an editor hurts the site if it forces multiple other editors to then spend time apologizing for the mistaken warning. I'd rather have a questionable edit left in place for a few hours than have someone rush to take the wrong action. Of course, we all make mistakes occasionally and misinterpret an edit. But it seems to happen more than just occasionally with you. If you're not certain that an edit is incorrect and, especially, if you think that your followup has a chance of offending or alienating another editor, it would probably help everyone more if you just let the edit go. In some cases, just wait an hour and see what happens (for example, if an editor created a link to a not-yet-created article... give the editor more than two minutes to create the article before deleting the link). Consider reworking an edit instead of just undoing it... and then undoing your undo; if the sentence is confusing, it might need more than just undo/redo. If you don't deal with an edit, it won't get forgotten: that's the whole reason for the patrolling system where edits only get marked as patrolled once someone has followed up on it. And except in cases of vandalism or pure nonsense, it won't hurt the site to have the edit left in place for a few days. Thanks :) --NepheleTalk 16:19, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
- Ok i'll be a bit more careful in future, as my page sais i have been rushing to do things on the site and rarely stop to ask questions. --Volanaro 07:02, 22 April 2008 (EDT)
[edit] The guide
Hello again Volarno, i sent you a few messages before (lordvader178).
I just want to let you know, the guide is up and running. In-Depth Guides, then click "Creating an undead army". I want to know what you think of it. How could i spice it up or improve it?
Thanks mate
Regards, Josh
- It's certainly impressive, a few things, firstly the spoiler warning isn't needed as our Main Page already has a spoiler warning for all our articles, secondly the guide title sais it is about undead armies although it covers much more than that, the other sections would be more appropriate in other pages, thirdly, the credits list isn't needed for wiki articles and fourth, i don't know how to put this, but personally i think this article contains a lot of redundant information, most of the acquiring items glitches are already covered here. and the info about undead armies would be better off in a Roleplaying article. Perhaps ONe of the admins will know what to do, try talking to Nephele or TheRealLurlock, they are some of the most experienced users on the site and they would certainly know where to go from here.--Volanaro 12:14, 23 April 2008 (EDT)
- Sorry but Nephele's decided it's got to go. You have a week from now to try and stop it being deleted but it's not very likely.--Volanaro 12:40, 23 April 2008 (EDT)
I'm sorry, but i do not understand why it is being deleted. I can take out the credits if that's what you want. I can also take out the spoiler warning. It basically covers all about your undead armies, 4/5 of that guide is about creating your undead army, and the other is learning how to make a clone, to use the skills for making the army, so it is all relevant. The sections may be approiate in other pages, but seeing as how it's all concerning the one thing, i see no reason for that to be of any consequence. I can take out the part about requiring items as well. If it is possible, you can move it to the roleplaying place. I didn't know where to put it, and seeing as how the guide is long, i figured it should go in "In-Depth Faqs", because the guide is very in-depth. If you can move it, that would be good. Unless it HAS to go. As in 100% absolutely has to go. I know you have your motives, and the site to look after, but i don't want to see all this work get flushed down the toilet. It may not be my own writing, but i had to change most of it according to the sites needs. If you and the others mods can formulate a plan for it to stay, while still being under the sites guidelines, i need to hear it.
Again, i know this isn't your fault, and your doing what's best for the site, but please give a think about it. I can change whatever you want, it does not bother me. Meanwhile, it's 3:00am, and i'm tired, i need some sleep. Please reply meanwhile so i can get back on and have a look see's.
Regards, Josh.
[edit] Hidden blade
Hey Volanaro was it you that removed my edit about that blade who can be found in the testing grounds using the Frostcrag spire glitch. If it was you what was wrong with it i know he exist because i have seen him. p.s if I have done somthing wrong sorry im new to this stuff.p.s.s booo necromancy is evil down with necromancy!!! Verbil 26 April 2008 20:40 (cant get the hyperlink working. im a noob sue me)
- Test NPCs such as Dewey Decimal do not generally belong in articles. They are not NPCs who you will meet during standard gameplay. And as test NPCs, they are not set up as proper NPCs. For example, "Dewey Decimal" is not seriously supposed to be the name of a character living in Cyrodiil. (And to sign your post, just type four tilde characters: see the note at the top of the edit page). --NepheleTalk 15:43, 26 April 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Vandalism et al
Hi Volanaro. I just came across some of your posts about the vandalism. Hope you get that sorted out and your school's IP doesn't have to be blocked, as your contributions would definitely be missed (or the ones you make from school, anyway).
While I'm here anyway, I figured I'd point out some typos in your User Page, cuz I'm anal that way. :) In the "Recent Vandalism" section, you've got "joinging", and throughout the page, you're using an admixture of "I" and "i". Are you thinking of converting to Buddhism and you just can't make up your mind? <lol> --Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 12:55, 29 April 2008 (EDT)
- Yh, I'll probably get round to sorting it out eventually, i'm not much of a perfectionist when it comes to my user page so its not too important at the moment. --Volanaro 12:56, 29 April 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Right-handed, but...
Hey Volanaro. Since I so blatantly stole your right/left-handed box (see what's currently the bottom-most userbox on my profile), I just wanted to publicly say thank you for the idea. :) --Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 11:13, 1 May 2008 (EDT)
- One minor thing with your newest box: you copied more from the userbox template than you should have. In particular, the section of text that reads
<noinclude>[[Category:User Box Templates|Right-Handed]]</noinclude>really needs to be deleted. It's adding your user page to the user box templates category, even though your user page really does not belong there. Could you possibly delete that chunk? Thanks :) --NepheleTalk 11:46, 1 May 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Ops
Hummm... I m kinda new on editing pages and wanted to sorry about so many changes on it. I was just trying to find the right words to something i wanted to say and all i wrote i thought was true, since i play it again and again and again since it has gone into P2P. Anyway... I just now discovered its here i m supposed to write first. I was thinking... why dont you change the name for 'strategies and cheats' and 2 sections under the topic so it would be a bit easier to one who just started playing the game to find exactly what he wants. ow, and if you put the topic of the smaller official plugins would be no problem for me to contribute on it. like... firemoth and master index. sorry again anything :D —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 189.34.86.225 (talk • contribs).
[edit] Your entourage
Please do forgive me if I speak out of turn, but I have noticed a certain two following you around like a couple of strays on a few pages. Looking into it, I decided to...offer my sympathy, as it were. Again, please forgive me if I speak out of turn, but I do know what it is to be mocked, and... Robed Dawnbringer 16:20, 6 May 2008 (EDT)
- Trust me, this has been going on a lot longer than i had hoped it would. These idiots were once regular vandals of the site and now their main intention seems to ask intrusive questions and add nonsense which is on the borderline of Vandalism. Personally im convinced that they will have one last stab at the site on the last day of term but neither I or the admins can do anything about it until they actually do something wrong, one of them has been warned so they might be a little less anoying over the next few days. But I can assure you I have nothing to do with their actions on the site, although I'm constantly picked on by them at school. --Volanaro 07:33, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
- I know you have nothing to do with it. Well, I hope they leave soon. Robed Dawnbringer 11:30, 8 May 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Apology
Sorry I took such a long time to respond, but my computer went haywire, so I took a very long hiatus. I forgive you, and I'm sorry for any trouble I've caused you or the site. Unfortunately, oportunities have risen for me elsewhere (Star Wars Fanon Wiki), so I'm afraid this is one of the few messages I'll give before I have to leave again. Sorry and good bye. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk)/(Contribs) 22:11, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
- Hey you have nothing to be sorry for :) Hope you can forgie me for being so agressive withyou though! --Volanaro 15:54, 16 May 2008 (EDT)
- It's alright. I forgive you. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk)/(Contribs) 16:52, 17 May 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Message
Have you read my e-mail yet? Check your messages if not - it's pretty important. --HMSVictoryTalk 14:17, 16 May 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, I read it, only after seeing this though. For some reason it went into my spam folder instead of my inbox. I have a similar problem to you so you have my sympathy. I do not want to specify it here as it is quite personal but to put it simply,i have a tendancy to jump straight into things without stopping to ask questions, after that i start to regret my acytions and panick about the consequences and then after that I lose almost all my self-motivation. I have informed Rpeh about the exact cause for this since I've known him pretty much since joining uesp. But I dont like to talk about it too much as it has caused me a lot of trouble recently (for those who think otherwise I do have a life outside uesp), glad to see that you trust me with that though. :) Joe aka --Volanaro 16:03, 16 May 2008 (EDT)
- Makes absolute snese to me. I will only ask of you that you read the quote at the bottom of my userpage. I go through phases, sometimes very rapidly, although I don't always realise it, and this is the one I'm kind of in now. Please read it. --HMSVictoryTalk 11:56, 17 May 2008 (EDT)
For some strange reason I can't use the email hyperlink on your user page. It clains I am either not logged-in, or I don't have a valid email address. Most strange, since both objections are false. At any rate, my work keeps me rather busy (I spend a good deal of my time involved with C# and the System.Reflection.Emit namespace…), but I might be able to help you out. Who knows? First, MS did indeed conceive and deisgn the Dot Net Framework 1.0, but they relinquished control to ECMA. C# (a Dot Net language) is considered an ECMA standard. While it is true that MS does have a seat on the C# and Dot Net committee (did I spell that right? how many double-letters are in that word, btw?), they are but one voice among many. Sun Microsystems, for example, is also on both committees. Now to the point. Depending on your needs, I might be able to assist you. It is possible I simply don't have the necessary skill, or lack the necessary time. Disclaimer: If this Morrowwind- or Oblivion-specific then I can't help you; I've never played either of those games. Umm.. try using my email link and maybe we can communicate that way. --Uniblab 23:28, 21 May 2008 (EDT)

- Err, I like them for completely different reasons, does it really matter wether one of them kills the other or not? --Volanaro 07:57, 26 June 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Thanks for the help
Thankyou for helping me undo this guy's edits (212.219.229.3). Everytime I clicked undo you beat me to it. I was just letting you know, for I envy your skilful super speedy mouseclicking efforts. Nice work but still I plan to beat you in the future just you wait =P... --Matthewest •T•C•E• 07:30, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
