Investing into Luck.. Is it worth it ?

I play as a sorceror, and I'm wondering if it's worth it to invest into Luck. It seems like a bit of a black box ; I have no idea what Luck actually does. I thought i could use some help some more experienced users :lol:

According to the wiki, Luck increases:

Quote:

1) Damage dealt and damage resistance
2) Chance of successfully stealing an item
3) Chance of contracting a disease
4) Chance of a shopkeeper accepting an offer

1) Are increased by STR and Armor Class, respectively. Magic damage resistance is increased by WIS.
2) Is increased by AGI.
3) Is increased by END.
4) Is increased by INT and PER.

So, basically, LUC is the jack-of-all-trades stat. It helps a little bit with everything.
