i get the game up and running but theres no sound. I followed the tutorial but there is still no sound. What should I do to fix this?

Try updating your sound drivers.

That doesn't have to be the problem. TS, check out the official Elder Scrolls site, go to downloads and Arena. There is a guide there explaning this issue (because it also happens with the free downloadable version) if I remember correctly. I believe the guide might be practical even though you have the original CD-ROM and not the free downloadable version.
